Hi guys,
I installed root but I am not able to uninstall some apps.
Anyone has the same problem?
Thank you for reply
EDIT: I changed an app and it works.

The only app I could not uninstall with root was the Huawei mobile services app. Were the apps updated? When you have gone to uninstall an app if it has been updated it will sometimes just restore the app to the stock version rather than remove it so maybe try the uninstall again?

Are you rooted with TWRP?
I've just downloaded it and it's working for me. Did it ever work for you?

Try to download the app's apk (maybe a different version than the latest). I don't know what to expect but if this were my case I would try it.
Other Googla Apps working fine?

This could be really annoying specially at a new phone.
I know this is very uncomfortable (specially if you have done all the settings etc.) but the next steps would be factory reset or flashing the stock Honor 8 rom...
I solved the issue now.
I removed my google account and signed in again. but for the first time I had unmarked the auto sync option(Cause I hate auto-sync It was draining the battery on my nexus badly). Anyway This time I chose auto sync when it prompt before sign in to google account and It worked.
Thanks for the responses again

You can try package disabler pro. If that don't work then you SOL unless you root.

Yes I tried it but I don't know which app or script has to be disabled.
Update: Using Package Disabler Pro freezes various apps then the next 48 hours I dont recieve any notifications to software updates. In reality, I still dont know which one of the apps prevents the update. The freeze apps are:
AT&T Remote Support
Backup and Restore Manager
ConfigUpdater
DiagMonAgent
Nearby Service
In addition to others such as Direct TV and bloatwares from AT&T that have nothing to do with the software update.

How to freeze firmware update?

I have the G955FD version of the S8+. I would like to freeze the update apk with Titanium Backup. Does anyone know the name of the app? Thanks.

Hmm I've been wanting to know this too. Are you rooted?
Yes, my phone is rooted.
you can delete the update apk in /system/priv-app/FotaAgent and reboot or use root essentials app on play store (use it all the time) you can do anything and especially app management with delete, freeze , etc etc of course for rooted
I have renamed the FotaAgent.apk. Hopefully this should be enough to prevent it from auto updating.

Can't uninstall Facebook App Installer

Why am I unable to uninstall the Facebook App Installer, and why is it even installed as a system app in the first place? I have uninstalled the Facebook app, as well as the Facebook App Manager, but there's no way to uninstall the Installer.
My firmware is C02B132, and as far as I remember, I didn't have it in B120, and I certainly don't recall it being there until recently. I also checked on the P9 Lite, and it doesn't have that installed.

It was installed out the box for me, I just disable it. You will have to root to be able to uninstall.

I have already disabled it, but I don't recall it being installed before, so it could have been installed with B132.
I don't see why this can't be uninstalled, since the main Facebook app can be uninstalled. ?
I'm just finding more reasons to unlock my bootloader and debrand my device. ?

A working app disabler

Good morning everyone. I need a working app disabler, since ez, pdp and bk are not anymore on the play store.
You can search apk mirror for apps you want. Are you rooted or not? There is an app called root package disabler that has a non root option. If you are rooted, titanium backup is always reliable.

Thanks for the answer. I will try root package disabler then, to be honest I prefer to stay on a non rooted firmware. I will update the thread.
