Oreo Keyboard on Nougat? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

We have had the latest unicode emojis forever without a working Samsung Keyboard and I'm tired of having to use Gboard. Now I see the lastest Oreo keyboards support the new unicode but it cant be installed on nougat despite being api level 24. All version 3+ and betas not installing as system apps or user apps for me on AQDG, can someone on the latest build see if they work?
Link to beta APKS here- https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=samsung+keyboard
EDIT: I downloaded the Oreo Beta roms and extracted those keyboards and got them to install, no new emojis in it.. I also swapped over the Noto/Samsungcoloremoji.tff and still no new emojis. Also tried swapping messaging app but no go, must be in the framework. Damn you Samsung!

[Q] Question about CyanogenMod Installer And ROM Update?

Hi,
I've just install from the new installer CyanogenMod the ROM, after 2 automatique update, now it's tagged:
11.0-InstallerXNPQ32P
I think (from the note above the version) it's a M8.
What about the M9 and M10? It's comming in automatique Update (OTA) or I need to install it manualy?
Is the Installer version are something different as Mx?
ps: it's a very stable ROM (version), and I don't want change from a M9-10 right now, it's about know if updates are avaible from the Installer version and if a CyanogenMod 12 (Android L) comming, it's possible by Automatique Updater (OTA).
Hi, same question, please?
Me too ?
Personally, I would install TWRP, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, manually flash an updated ROM and test the new ROM for a while. If the new ROM is unstable, restore your previous ROM from TWRP.
I think I have an even better question.
I hope this is a good question. I have loaded the CM installer version and to my delight I was back on 4.4.2 KK. I did not like the official 5.0.2 L update everything was slow and sluggish and I wanted to get back to root. Upon setting up my deb-razorg and after all apps were re-installed I had received a CM Installer update and I am now on 11.0-InstallerXNPQ32P aka 4.4.4. Click check for updates under system updates yields nothing it simply shows your system is up to date however during the process of updating google play services and I am sure frameworks somehow in my notification shade it shows System update available (Android 5.0.2 System update). I do not want to make this mistake again as this is what I saw using stock ROM right before going to Lollipop. The question is why would I get a separate OTA from Google why would I get an official OTA or AOSP update at the same time I had been getting back to back CM Installer updates? They appear to be two separate updates so not only do I not want to go back to Lollipop I am scared that would brick my tablet since I am on CM Installer. I cannot get rid of the official update from notification shade. Please help the question is not specific to the device I would just like to know why I am getting two different update prompts one official and one from CM installer?

Marshmallow Keyboard

Hi
in marshmallow custom roms , samsung keyboard has newer emojis than the stock one and some better features
how can I change my stock samsung keyboard to that ?
Yes i need that
Any one can help us ?
If you don't have it, try to install Samsung Keyboard apk from Internet. The most trusted side to do it is apkmirror I think. Of course at first you need to delete your old keyboard from the phone. But I recommend using SwiftKey Keyboard from Google Play. It's much more good than Samsung Keyboard. Many keyboard themes, and that what you want: MANY emojis! (maybe 300-500?). AND SO IMPORTANT. You need to know you have ARM or ARM64 system and download compatible Samsung keyboard version.

Well you can't.
The Marshmallow keyboard is built for Android Marshmallow and up.
Also emojis depend on system font.

Can I get the Google dialer on a non-rooted S4?

Hi there everyone!
I've downloaded a lot of .apk files claiming to install the Google dialer on a non-rooted S4 but so far all have failed to install. Is it possible to get this dialer on a non-rooted S4 and if so, which one should I be downloading?
Thanks for your time!
The dialer only works on Pixel, Nexus, Android One, and Google Play Edition devices running Android 6 or higher. You're running Android 5.0.1, thus the dialer will always refuse to install.
Root, then install an AOSP ROM and GApps package to use the dialer.

Thank you very much for your help!
I was told on another forum that I could not root or replace the ROM on this phone, as Verizon prevented it with the last OTA update. Is this not true?
@schwim: The fact you have a Verizon device and have taken an OTA means you can't change ROMs to a newer version. Such information would have been more helpful if placed in your initial post, but no matter. The upshot here is that there is nothing you can do that will allow you to install the Google dialer.

Version number when...

So when I was running other Rom's, the installer would state the version number for the current app and the version number for the app your attempting to install.
ie... Installing thing amazing 1.0, would you like to install thingamajig 1.1
Is their a way to enable that in OOS? Stock ROM
I'm unsure if there is a way to enable it in OOS but I think it has something to do with Google package installer and aosp as when i flashed a custom rom without gapps I could see the version numbers

Is there an android oreo stable rom?

I tested many oreo roms but quick tile doesn't work, on some camera too and on few of them, bluetooth address was 00:00:00:00:5A:AD and it enables after 6 or 7 seconds
I also tested the stock oreo rom but if you delete chrome or modify it, many Google apps stops working
Well, after trying many times stock oreo rom and other roms, i finally decided to go to stock oreo, but i feel kinda limited on things like dark theme and some few things, substratum didn't help
