Can somebody help me unpack the Nokia TA-1000 stock chinese "00CN" ROM. - Nokia 6 Questions & Answers

Here is the ROM image uploaded by Quixote78:
https://yadi.sk/d/fN5Oinvt3MwufR
But there is a problem, it has a very unusual extension.
If i remember correctly, this extension was used by windows Mobile ROMs.
So... How do you open this?
I wanna see if the Nokia apps work on LineageOS.
And the thing is that this is the only Nokia 6 version that actually has those apps. All the other TA-XXXX versions have nearly stock Android without most of the Nokia apps.
Or does anybody have a system dump of the first original TA-1000 ROM in .zip format?

To unpack nb0 firmware, you need to use nb0tools by @heineken78
drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Wy4Ok3qGszaXhzM29YOEhrMW8
But it can't unpack Nokia 8 firmware successfully.

Axim x50v Windows Mobile 5

I have been trying to get the windows mobile 5 upgrade from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=313081
working on my Dell Axim x50v. I have downloaded the zip, but when I try to extract it, it gets an error trying to extract the img file itself. I have redownloaded it and tried other zip programs, none of which have worked. Any suggestions?
Btw. I have tried to extract it using 7-zip and IZarc.

First, I don't really think your question deserved its own thread. You should have posted this in that same thread. However, I will answer your question. First, use Winrar (www.winrar.com) to extract the files to any folder on your hard drive (I can't believe you didn't think of using Winrar when the post clearly said 'rar file'). Second, transfer the files in the folder to the root of a fat-32 formatted SD card. Third, put the SD card in the axim and use the SD image loader to flash the bootloader file (if you don't know how to use the SD image loader, go to aximsite to find out). Fourth (if you didn't brick your axim by flashing the bootloader file), use the SD image loader to flash the os file. Enjoy Windows Mobile 5.
Note: If you do brick your axim during this process, no one is responsible for it EXCEPT YOU!! Depending what part of the process you brick your axim on, you can make your axim usable again.
p.s. for more axim related information, go to aximsite: http://www.aximsite.com/ aximsite.com
sorry, i didn't think about it 7-zip and IZarc both support rar. I'll try that. Btw how likely is it that I will permanently destroy my axim doing this?
I just tried using winrar, it says the img file is corrupt.

[Q] Firmware save help plzz!

Any 1 help me plz! i wanna backup my firmware without kies!
I need a video guide, saving firmaware and update my phone to Kyrillos' ROM v2.2 Gingerbread Edition!
Thanks all!
I also like to know how to backup the original firmware before i am flashing to a custom ROM, but i can't find a solution for this problem.
hope someone knows what to do
I think you can't. Only if there's a way to look in your system folders using your computer. Maby you can copy your firmware files from your system to your sd Using a file manager (like bluetooth file manager or androzip or something)?

[Q] Need help modifying system.img

Hello everybody... I was off for a few weeks and now when I'm back I suddenly felt like doing something new... and when i was looking into some folders that i had from my Android SDK i noticed something named system.img in my level 8 android platform... previously i was enthusiastic to install first google apps in virtual android in my windows then try to install a Custom ROM such az OxyGen or CM7.0.3.... so i guessed that system image must contain the files to do this... over a lot of search i found the tool to extract it.. I extracted it with UnYaffs... the i injected(!) the google apps APK from the latest zip (20110613) file... and something i wondered about is that you can extract from an Yaffs archive but you cannot create one in Windows.. SO I FIRED UP MY UBUNTU....(!!!) and created the image... then transferred it to windows made a backup of the original system.img and replaced mine... before that having all my virtual android machines deletd(I mean wiped from my system!!!)...As normal i created a AVD(Android Virtual Device) from my modified platform... everything went right and it created successfully but when I was starting my AVD everything suddenly changed into bad... It's stuck on the TEXT saying ANDROID... i mean the first text not the second graphic that is Android's name in iron like gray-blue color....
I don't know what has caused the problem.. anyone got his hand dirty on this system.img file?
I guess it might be from that it must be Yaffs1 but i created a Yaffs2 archive... didn't I??? but since I haven't got any Yaffs1 archive maker for ubuntu I can't test...
And I'm sure that the system.img is created fully and not partly... because I UnYaffs-ed it many times and the files do contain in it...
AnY HeLp??

anyone want to make a 6.5.3 rom for the intrepid?
and remove all the junky bloatware that sprint and samsung put on it...
its windows directory is cluttered with junk and factory testing tools from windows 6.0 and the i-7xx samsung phone....
It's not that simply, I think. Even if someone was to generate a ROM, it can't be flashed unless the phone allows it, which would require the phone to be unlocked(It's only sim unlocked). That being said, if somone IS able to do this, I'd love to make a ROM for it!
Sprint has an update tool to update the rom but obviously its just theirs...
could someone analyse the sprint update tool maybe?
i got the rom by changing a registry value i believe

Imacwear m7 Stock Android 5 Rom

Hi everyone.
ive just uploaded a stock android 5.1 rom that i had from the supplier
You must backup your imei before flashing. nvram.bin. i will not be help responsible for any imei loss. and i will not explain how to recover an imei either.
download the zip and extract the folder . rename the folder to ROM. now move the folder to root of c:\ ( it will not work unless the files are structured c:\ROM\)
when flashed using standard flashtool, it will erase your device as it has to be repartitioned to work. so be waned, BACKUP YOUR IMEI OR NVRAM.bin
