Can anyone point me in right direction for a link to latest unbranded firmware that I can download for free?
Also can anyone confirm its safe to flash unbranded to a locked Virgin mobile handset without bricking?

I just recently got S4 black and it looks like it has vodafone UK firmware on it CSC being I9505VODAMD9.
I believe due to this it will take a lot longer for me to get any official updates from Samsung? Can I easily change firmware to unbranded version? Will that void my warranty?

Yes, as long as you flash an official firmware, you'll receive OTAs.
Hi, Just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to do this and any pitfalls that may be involved?
I'm on EE but have a Samsung stock firmware and so don't get some services I could if I was running their firmware.
I'm currently downloading the official BTU nougat update for my S7 Edge, as I am currently on an O2 CSC, when flashing the BTU version shall I use the BTU CSC or keep it as Home_CSC?
I'm not worried about the phone being reset as I am currently backing it up in Smart Switch as I type this.
Also if anyone could link me to the best guide to follow in order to go ahead with this please post it here, thanks. :good:

pretty sure you need comsey odin and same current firmware
be aware just cause you flash unlocked firmware your device is no sim unlocked
