[MOD] Torch boost! Full LED power when using your Z1 as a light source!

Hello guise,
This time I'll share with you something that @RyokoN found out. Please thank him here. I just made proper changes to the file he mentioned.
Someday I was killed by my friend N5 torch. It was so bright. Now I decided that I want my torch to be actually useful, just like his torch is. (we were trying to see details in a dark place to fix the window).
It may break your LED if you leave it on for some time. I'm not responsible for any damage. It actually made my back around the LED a bit warm after a few seconds in the extreme version!
Please be aware that it's not safe to test it on devices that are older than Xperia Z as LED's may vary hardware-side.
Anyway, enjoy
Extreme version - just torch
Medium version - just torch
Medium version - torch, camera, flash, notification LED <------------ RECOMMENDED!
Extreme version - torch, camera, flash, notification LED
Revert to stock Z1 torch
It's based on Z1 .108 firmware (4.4.4), but it WILL work on 4.3 roms. Can't say about older android versions - you tell me!
Please test and let me know how it went
It's significantly brighter now. At first it barely gave any light and now it's even brighter then the light in my room on a small distance, lol.
Confirmed working on:
Z 4.4.4
ZR
Z1 Compact
Z1s
Z1 4.3 4.4
Z2 4.4
Z3 4.4

That's what I'm talking about! FINALLY a flashlight that I can use! It works great!

Wow! Tks to your mod, I'm finally throw my flashlight out in the garbage because now it's brighter that that old flashlight.....

Have you checked if the led can endure the increased amount of current?
i dont want my led to be damaged permanently because of this

I didn't, but it's using the same current like the flash in camera. It shouldn't harm your device if you won't use it for a long time like 15 minutes - just a guess.
As always, use it in your own risk.

Ok.. that's awesome!!!! It's amazing, even if you turn torch on when taking a photo it's brighter that flash itself.. I'm wondering
If there is any chance to boost flash at the same level with camera to get better pictures..

1 of the disadvantages of glass+metal: it heats up pretty quickly,

DANG this is bright, confirmed working for Xperia Z1S I actually kind of blinded myself without even looking at the led directly

It's risky using it for a device with potentially different hardware, could burn out the torch

What about notificatin light can you make one for that?

Problem is that its stronger now than the actual camera flash....
Please make a new version where the cam flash will be as strong.. Pleeeease

Nope, since notification light works for a really long time and it's too risky.

Witch One ROM is the best?

I tested a lot of custom roms, and I still don't know witch one can be the best. I prefer ROM with very good battery time(I don't play in any games), I use xposed with a lot modules.
Now I have installed Hydrogen Os with boeffla kernel+ extreme battery profile+xposed. I am very happy, 3 days on battery but low performance
Please write something about yours roms

This is the default behavior of hydrogen.

Tried that and doesn't always work for hanghouts and Facebook messenger. Also took them out of hibernation, any ideas?

I'm Currently using Cm12.1 with Cm kernel (The one which is pre loaded in rom) getting 8hrs of SOT Pretty Smooth than OOS! Really alot customization! You don't even need Gravity Moudle in that Rom. It have nearly everything! Hope so Op releases M update soon, so the rom would be pretty stable with working FP and LAF

Im on skydragon now. It is much smoother than stock. Performance is slightly better. Sot around 4h. Battery drain is 5% per 6h in indle. Its many but ok

Try flash: H2OS_Bloat_Remover_CrashFix.zip
Please use google yo find it. I am new and I can't write URL here.
It is update for h2o ROM from different custom complication. Should fix this one problem

I know there are 6.0.1 cm13 builds but I like using the stylus or at least having the option to, I might use it some day, you never know

I use CM13 and my pen... there are plenty of ways to get it working.

Oh, with pressure sensitivity? does the camera still work well? 60fps and so on?
Last time I checked there were just too many features from the Samsung roms missing.

CM SPen Addon and Squid ftw. Works perfect. Camera works fine, too. No clue of 60fps, I dont need that.

The captured images won't be of same quality on CM like it is on TW ROMs. Forget about 60 fps, LOL. It's just the something is better than nothing approach, nothing else.

Yeah, I am talking about quality on a phone cam sensor. The quality difference is so much that even with naked eye, and even a dull headed person will notice the difference! And I am a DSLR guy by the way!

My biggest issue with CM is that there isn't a good multiwindow implementation yet. I know they're working on it (I think Google, could be CM, not entirely sure who exactly it is that's working on it), but the feature is still in early alpha. I can't use my phone without it. It's like not having a browser or a SIM card.

Same camera sensor quality, just no FPS changes currently available, thus far. I am a micro-4/3 guy by the way, but don't see the relevance to this post :silly::silly::silly:

Who was talking about camera sensor! Everyone knows software can't change the hardware sensor! Its the post processing that matters, and that's where TW will thump over any CM/AOSP any day, any time.

Update 28 Dec 2016 The best results for me so far with my Z3+. No heat, just battery

I've been using this to reduce the heat. I know many of you have heard about it, just want to share to those who are still struggling with their Z4 .
I reduce the screen resolution (in general) to 720p , and back to 1080p only for watching films . My phone gets good results in both battery and performance.

OLD: Oh my gosh, "Sony STAMINA mode" and "Skynet project" (.zip) have made my life better. My phone went crazy ( and crazy hot) even I used any modded or stock kernel, L speed or anything like that, but then I saw someone talking about Skynet project, found an old .zip online and have used it for a week now. Pretty great!
Hope you can find a nice solution for your love phone.

Just flash the zip file. Then in terminal emulator, do the following:
su [enter]
menu [enter]
Then configure it from available options.

You should get into the skynet project site (find on Google) ,and ask for help there. They know much better about this. I don't use skynet any further dear.

Skynet project doesn't seem like my thing, it turns everything off, and it's not how and why I choose android. For instance, with things work normally, I use Google Now for almost everything, googling, watching and reading stuffs, translating things without getting into browser, or any other app. It's much easier and faster to use what you have got. I do use Zach's kernel for image/ screen enhancement but I would prefer the stock one sometimes. Zach's is better in some ways though, but yeah..
And as I write on the top, I've been using the screen shift app (with root, or you can use any app) to reduce the resolution of the screen. It makes our phone screen less sharp (poorer quality), but you wouldn't notice the difference anyway. The good thing is, you get better performance, better battery, and reduce heat (I suppose), as far as I can see from my phone.

Did u really felt any difference in battery, heating, performance by screen shift app....if yes, then plz share ur settings here with us, that would b of great help to many of us.
Coming to skynet.. M using it. Battery has improved a bit and yes heating has reduced a bit too.

I don't know what you use to read XDA, I did attach 3 screenshots in my post, and it's "screen shift" app, you get into it, set resolution 720 x 1280, density 294 (or else as your own needs)

What ROM to choose

I know you get a million messages like this but I need your help. Looking for a Romm but:
- not a big fan of customization
- need a better battery management
- need a robust and very fast rom
- need to encrypt my phone
- really like to look of the default rom
What do you suggest? Can you help?

I've been using this ROM for about a month. You can give this a shot.

What I really like about this rom are the device specific implementations. Big roms like Lineage or Slim could also be what OP is looking for but they don't have HAL3 for example.

What about with good camera options? Trying resurrection and the camera lacks some stuff
