It's definitely loud enough to use in the car with no distortion, loud enough to use during a shower too. Outside of noisy environments, max volume is generally too loud. That's a good thing probably.

Speaker is loud. Extremely flat at it's highest. I set it at around 75-80%, anything louder would be annoying.
