that's not something he can fix, sounds like you need a new mainboard.
yes you should put a add on ebay. i bricked my phone twice and i have to send it to texas twice so if you can do all phones it would be a good thing for some one in this country to unbrick phones. i no phone shops are not doing it, even small repair shops.

Idea to help ROM developers financially

Hi All,
I was surfing net and found lots of legit sites providing pay per download's.
What came to my mind is that we ask ROM developers to upload on these sites.
we normal users anyways download from where ever they upload.
in this process there is no change however we will be contributing to some extend to them.
specailly usefull for those of us who don't have the luxury to donate through paypal.
Need your opinion.
Mod : please delete thread if it voilates any forum rule. (Please infrom me the same in case its not a burden to you.)
Thats a really cool idea .
I mean I'm sure most of the people taking time out of their own lives to develope these roms (not for profit but because its a hobby they enjoy doing) could also help out many aspects of other peoples lives who may have never even owned a mobile phone (ie, donate the money to a charity of their choosing).
I'm sure that with the amount of dl's a single rom gets could really benefit people.

So you are telling that Developers are uploading their ROM to a website that wants a CORRECT survey before you can download the file? That really sucks, you'll get into trouble with some of those surveys. Also, why make money with file upload websites if you can donate to a developer.
I say no.
what a lame idea the reason why Xda is better because its devs don't push people to download something for money! if the user likes the devs work they donate to the dev infact these sites have waiting time and lame ads all around the page which may change the mind of someone who wants to donate.
Mediafire is always the best file hosting site!
I understand the point you all are trying to make.
however my point was simply in the event many people don't have the liberty or capacity to donate.
neither can they contribute with much to the community.
so just thought to take opinion of the community....
Looks like i might have hurt some of the basic fundamental values of XDA... in that case i am sorry.....
and Note: this is in no way a instruction, its just some thoughts of my own.

so i dont think survey taking would be allowed
Thanks for the clarification please delete the thread or atleast lock it as i suppose it will be a clear voilation of XDA policies.

Hence why I am not posting links to my items. Just stating that I am selling because I have no use for them anymore and that is all. it was a good run with the vibrant and its 4g sister but I just upgraded and there is nothing going on with either of the two so whoever needs a board or cam it is up in open. I will miss these forums because I ahd learned alot about flashing and recovering. EB,.Whitekawx and other great developers you are the best at what you do. See you on the flip side!

XDA Exclusive: A Free FunkyHuawei Credit for XDA Users

I've been trying to come up with a way to give back to XDA, and here is what I've got on offer.
For helpful XDA users who meet the following criteria:
1. XDA Account more than 1 year old.
2. 1000+ posts
3. 150+ thanked
I will happily issue a FunkyHuawei credit for free. Send me a PM on XDA with your email address you used onand I will put it on your account if you meet the criteria. So I can keep track of it, make the subject of your message 'FunkyHuawei Credit Request'
In return, I ask that you (optionally) document your usage of FunkyHuawei, and how it worked for you, and let me know. All feedback is very welcome.
Take note that I don't recommend trying to rebrand with one credit, because you generally will need to flash the phone at least two times. However, it should work just fine for a system update.
I especially hope there are people with phones other than the Mate 9/Pro who can try it and see how it works, as I don't have older testing devices. But you're free to use it on whatever phone you want, of course.
Note, I am posting this under Section 11 of the XDA rules, specifically:
Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software or commercial services, unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.

It's one credit for the service... so one firmware flash.
