The only alternative to Flyme with a decent camera app and a bugs-free beautiful system is MIUI 9

Using lineage now.I am going for RR for more customization.

It's a bug in the VIP version because it is ported from Meizu m2 NOTE while all previous versions were created for m2 mini specifically by Lunik.
Use the previous version if you want to.

unofficial build have those type of issue but official build is rocking. camera and battery also great on official build for official supported device... RR for Meizu is unofficial and ported that's why camera is not perform batter.:fingers-crossed:

in terms of battery and performance: my personal favourite is AOSP Extended. it is quit impressing and have batter RAM management as compared to RR or crDroid or ViperOS or Even Official FLYME 5 or 6.

Maybe MIUI. Last time I used it it had about 5-6 hours SOT and afaik VoLTE should work as well.
But miui have many bugs.
Heyyo, I'd recommend doing something like OmniROM and then AKT Profile Project X.A.N.A battery. It will definitely put battery saving over performance. OmniROM also has confirmed working VoLTE.
Otherwise if you want a balance of battery and performance? SlimRoms latest update is good and uses bs kernel 3.6.2 with energy aware scheduling like the Google Pixel phones.
Actually SlimRoms with Greenify and root enabled is really good for battery with my latest tests heh 43% battery left and over 3 hours of SoT

Thanks
Edit - slim rom officially don't support lemax 2. No future updates.
I am using OmniROM 7.1.2 now and I can get around 5~6 hours SOT for normal use. The performance is also good.

Heyyo, eh official doesn't really mean much tbh other than some ROMs get their builds directly from a sanctioned build server is pretty much it.
The only ROM where the difference would be significant is OmniROM since the signed builds are Google SafetyNet Certified.

Miui 9 hasn't been properly released for there own devices and your hurrying developers to port it ? Wait for compete release of it at least and go spam on the miui website about it, not here...
It's released now for all their devices..
I have seen that the Mi4 has a SD801 and it has Miui9, I wanted to try to port it.... but I am not sure if the kernel is the same as Zuk1 kernel..
If anybody has info.. we try to to port it why not..

Is "which ROM you prefer and why" a stupid question?

Well, I'll ask it anyway .
I've only ever used Cyanogenmod and Lineage, but now there is no stable and good release for J5 (2016). Obviously, stock has so much bloat and is super slow, all I want is fast, functioning and pretty phone. Which is the ROM of choice for you and why?

Am pretty much 50/50 between TW and aosp.TW can easily be debloated mainly stock and just add quasar 1.6 fix and runs fast same as kernel that's in space os and I recommend that one too.Am currently on Havoc which is great looking and saves you a good 1.5gb TWRP backup so yes the aosp are already debloated. All the oreo roms are fast in my opinion.Havoc is my favourite followed by RR 6.0.1 and the older lineage builds are great too.

Not as smooth as aosp ROMs tho. TW is a really heavy skin over android and is known to be slow and stuttery even on the best of devices.
But yes you are right it is the smoothest of the TW ROMs due to the heavy debloat. Especially the SEP 8.5 LITE.
For me though I stick with aosp ROMs because they are a lot faster, a lot more customisable and also better on battery life.
But everyone has different tastes and what suits me and you might not suit someone else.
All ROMs are amazing and we need to give more thanks and donations to the devs

No battery problems for me with Havoc. It can be a bit slow to charge sometimes but not big battery drain.Yes I think bluetooth audio might be problem on some aosp roms if you use bluetooth but I use wired headset and bluetooth works fine in all aosp roms I have tried for file transfers and connecting to externel devices like gamepad which I use.

Which ROM is your daily driver (Devs&users)

Hey everyone I would like to know which ROM are you guys using as your daily driver.
I'm using havoc ROM as my daily driver because it has all the features and stable and 10 hours of SOT and regular updates.i tried Almost all the other roms but satisfied with havoc. superior os is almost close as havoc but laggy sometimes.
So Comment down which ROM are you using and why?
And what about your battery back up of your ROM (be honest ?
You guys can attach your home screen screen shot as well
Was using pixel experience CAF edition earlier, but as it turned to Aosp I switched on to havoc. Would have liked to continue with Pixel experience CAF edition though...
I prefer CAF roms more than Aosp roms. Any suggestions for stable CAF roms with least number of bugs?
Again I preferred havoc because of its customization and stability. Battery backup could have been better though.. I guess u can't have it all:silly:
I use havoc with pix3lify magisk module flashed. It gives me unlimited original quality photo backup on Google photos
