Unbrick S7 Snapdragon After trying to go back to stock VIA Odin - Samsung Galaxy S7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Behold The Thread to solve your S7 Snapdragon Issue
- I have dealt with Odin errors for the last few days. Name as many as you can I've probably had it. The main issue is when people try to unroot by flashing stock ROM the phone will lock up (Soft Brick). This has happened to me many times in many different scenarios. Whether it presents itself with an eMMC error or any Fused Binary problems etc.
- Heres how to fix it.
- Unfortunately I am not allowed to post links yet but as soon as I can I will add them.
- Dowload your Stock firmware for your device.
- Download the S7 Snapdragon Root .tar for snapdragon
- Download the latest Odin Prince Comsy here
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.) Put your S7 into download mode by holding: Home + Power + Volume Down until you see a warning. Accept it.
2.) Go to the Modified Prince Cosmy Odin and open it up
3.) Grab the s7 Qualcomm .tar file from the root file you downloaded earlier and put it in the AP slot on Odin.
4.) Go to options on Odin and select: Nand Erase All, RE-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. reset time.
5.) Plug your S7 into your computer using a charging cord that is data transfer capable.
6.) After you see a blue or green box in Odin and see your device has been connected hit start
7.) After flashing the .tar root image. Put your phone back into download mode just like before and go back to Odin. (Make sure not to extract the zips inside the extracted USA ROOT zip.)
8.) Hit reset on Odin and go to options and select: Nand erase All, RE-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. reset time.
9.) Fill in BL, AP, CP, and CSC with your phones stock firmware and then select start. If all goes well it should restore your S7 to working condition.
- Make sure to extract all the downloads before you begin -

Restoring stock ROM to S5

Hi,
I'm selling my S5 so I need to remove the ROM that installed from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732110
and return to stock. Can someone point me to instructions for this process?
Thanks.
Stock ROM for the model number of your device
Odin3 tool.
Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile driver.
Charged rooted or non rooted Samsung galaxy S5.
USB cable and Windows PC
Backup your important data before flashing, in case of this process corrupt your data. [important in downgrading] Download stock ROM file (make sure you download the right FW for your phone's model number) from SamMobile or Samsung-Updates and unzip it only one time (the extracted firmware file has *.tar.md5 extension). Download and install Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile driver (Link below) Download Odin3 tool and unzip it (Link below) Close Samsung Kies and disconnect any device connected to USB ports of your computer.
Run "Odin3" as administrator.
Click on PDA button (AP if you are using Odin3 v3.09) and navigate to the *.tar or *.tar.md5 firmware file (it will take a few second to check firmware file, if you are using Odin3 v3.09).
- If the Zip file contains more than one *.tar file then they will be labeled with PDA, Phone and CSC. Put them in the corresponding section of Odin3
Shut down your device and make sure it's completely off. Put your device into download mode by pressing and holding (Volume Down + Home + Power) buttons then Press Volume up to continue.
Connect your galaxy S5 to PC using USB cable and wait until you get a sign in Odin (ID:COM section) and "Added" in message box. Make sure re-partition is NOT MARKED[very important]
Click Start and wait a few minutes until you see "RESET" or "PASS!".
If your device stuck in bootloop, factory reset it from recovery mode.
Instructions were taken from wolfdroid, i followed them an installed the stock rom on my s5.

How to fix boot loop on the galaxy trend lite (gt-s7392)

This is a guide for those who accidentally bricked their gt-s7392. For a fix pls download firmware from sammobile.com/firmwares and search for the device name (gt-s7392)...download the one for your region and also download odin 3.07... (google it). Save files to a pc. Now on a pc, extract the firmaware (.tar.md5 file) from the region type you downloaded (e.g s7392xpuank1, or whatever you downloaded). Next hold volume down, home and power button on phone for a long time till phone reboots. There is an option to continue or quit, press the volume up to continue. Plug phone to pc. Now open odin on the pc and select pda. Look for where you extracted the firmware (it is a .tar.md5 file) now wait for it to load and click start.. Wait this might take some time and you are done. The phone will now reboot and no data will be lost. But you will be reverted to stock if you are using custom rom.
Odin 3.09
Try Odin 3.09 that will definitely work
Boot Loop Issue Not Resolved

Galaxy S4 WiFi screwy, reward offered for help.

Hey guys, I did a search on the topic but to no avail.
I have a pretty specific probably and am willing to pay a few bucks to anyone who can help me fix this issue.
I work for a mobile repairs place and we have an S4 9505 that a customer bought in, he took it upon himself to flash the latest firmware from sammobile which has resulted in the WiFi not working, you hit the button in the notifications panel and it goes half lit but not connected and never moves past that point. I tried flashing a different firmware and the WiFi fix from the WiFi fix and firmware post and that works initially but after one or two connections to a WiFi, it greys out again.
Thanks in advance.
Anytime there's wifi connect problem I've found that its the kernel.
Well, it is official firmware so there shouldn't be any software bugs. Unless, maybe, he flashed the wrong firmware on the wrong phone model.
check the wi-fi mac addres or make and efs restore, that happend when the files in efs/wifi/ where messed with, and thats a bad thing, flash a custom rom or flash a custom kernel see if it works
@Nationalmaverick
Hello,
You should try to flash the latest stock Lollipop firmware available.
-Download Odin 3.10 here
-Download and install USB drivers (skip this if you already have Kies or drivers installed)
-Download the firmware I9505XXUHOB7 here
Open Odin3.ini (found in extracted Odin package) and edit PhoneBootUpdate from 0k to 1, save and close. Then:
Extract downloaded firmware
Download and extract .pit file from the attached zip
Open Odin 3.10, choose PIT and load the extracted file
Load following files from extracted firmware: BL in BL, AP in AP, CP in CP and CSC in CSC
In Options, tick Repartition & untick Autoreboot
Put the device in download mode: power off->Volume down + power key->confirm with Volume up at Warning screen
Press Start
Once done pull battery out and put it back, then press and keep pressed Volume up + power key (you'll see a blue text, "Recovery booting"). Once in recovery (navigate with Volume up/down & power key to confirm) choose "Wipe data/factory reset" and confirm with "Yes", then choose "Reboot system"
Now your WiFi should work

Samsung S7 Edge stuck in Boot Loop

Hello everyone!
I have a Samsung SM-G935F which after a system update (a patch) is no longer working, it's stuck in boot loop.
When I turn it on I get: Kernel Rev check file Device 1, Binary 0.
I can get into the Download Mode and it will be recognized by ODIN.
But I don't know how to proceed in order to solve the presented scenario. Can you help me out? Thanks!
Regards,
Oliver
Hi, First you need to try to perform a format through recovery, holding power+home+volume up.
If phone did not boot,Then download firmware from sammobile using an app called SamFrim you can find it by simple search on google.
After you downloaded thr firmware,Launch odin and boot your phone into download mode by holding power+home+volume down.
Extract the firmware and it will generate 5 files
AP
BL
CP
CSC
Home_Csc
Add every file to its correct place in odin
AP
CP
BL
Csc( don't use Home_Csc,Because we want to perform a full wipe)
Then hit start, be careful not to unplug the cable, once it's done phone will auto reboot, leave it,It will do everything by its own.
Btw you must use latest odin version because older version doesn't support Oreo roms
Good Luck

hard bricked sm-377w while trying to remove frp

hi all my grandson cannot remember his login info for his tablet, so i went and followed the instructions below I got to step 5 and could not get it to download recovery or turn it on.
After flashing the combo file there was a screen said factory binary but it would not load past that so i followed the steps and did a factory recover. the samsung logo came on but again it just went on to the factory binary screen. so i turn it off but would not turn back on. What can I do I have been out of the scene for a bit, I remember with the note 3 and 4 you could use a download jig to force it to download mode. I tried that but nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
I have successfully Unlocked my SM-T377W from Rogers Canada on 7.1.1
I have been Struggling for a while to Unlock the FRP from this device and finally done it
Now its unlocked and I can use whatever sim card i want also
Successfully Unlocked FRP of my SM-T377W from Rogers Canada on 7.1.1
I have successfully Unlocked my SM-T377W from Rogers Canada on 7.1.1 I have been Struggling for a while to Unlock the FRP from this device and finally done it Now its unlocked and I can use whatever sim card i want also So I have used these 2...
forum.xda-developers.com
So I have used these 2 files [IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE THE CORRECT COMBINATION AND CORRESPONDING STOCK], maybe you can use the same ones I have used if you do not have a choice
1- Combination "COMBINATION_OYA_FA60_T377WVLU3ARG1"
2- Stock ROM "Firmware SM-T377W T377WVLU3BRG4 [7.1.1]"
So what I have basically done,
1- Turn the device off and put the device in DOWNLOAD MODE
2- Flash the Combination Firmware to your device with Odin
3- When the device restarts and it runs the Combination firmware, turn it off again and put it in "RECOVERY MODE" not download, and in "RECOVERY MODE" do factory reset wipe and click yes then It will restart or maybe shut off
4- Turn it on again normally and it will run the Combination firmware
5- Now Turn it off again and put in "DOWNLOAD MODE" this time
6- From the Stock ROM extract the 3 files (boot, sboot and system) from inside the files of the stock ROM, you will find them inside "AP" and "BL" (cause we have BL, AP, CP, CSC), you need to use 7-zip so you can extract whats inside them
7- Create new file/archive (it will be .tar) using 7-zip with these 3 files (boot, sboot and system)
9- Flash the new file you made .tar (that has the 3 files) in the AP section in Odin.
10- Your done
