Stylo 2 T-mobile Bricked it! :( - LG Stylo 2 Questions & Answers

I was trying to restore the phone to factory default and re-lock the boot loader so I could sell the phone.
I had no clue what I was doing and tried various guides and have really fouled things up.
If I power on the phone I get the screen that says "Your device software cannot be checked for corruption Lock the Bootloader" When it continues it stays on the LG Life's Good powered by Android Screen.
Is there anything I can do to fix the phone?

Did you try uppercut with LGup? Grab stock kdz from lg & lg bridge it? sounds more like a soft brick as I hard bricked mine. No screen not recognized by desktop , won't charge even a new battery.. DEAD. Hard key factoty reset is power key with volume down until first startup release power for a moment repressing while maintaining volume down bringing up recovery menu.
Until the LG won't light up at all , it's not dead.

MY LG G2 for verizon is bricked HELLLPPPPP PLEASE

sorry to bother you all. i bricked my device and it's only a few hours old. I rooted it using the io root method. that was painless.
anyway, it didn't brick then. i got a notification from verizon for the 4.4.2 update so I clicked download update it never installed and that's when the bricking started. Anytime I connect it to the computer it opens up like 40 disks and it says cannot be used unless it's formatted so I have to spend a while canceling those out. when I restart the phone it says the lg logo then the screen goes black . im stuck. i've been trying for hours. if i get the phone back i won't root it or do anything. ill deal with the bloatware, whatever. i've tried a lot of different things but to no avail. any help is appreciated. thank you for your time...and wont go into download mode....help please anyone....
i have no recovery installed....every time i try to cut the phone off it vibrates screen goes off and on showing the lg logo very quickly then goes black but remains on until battery drains
Im in the same boat

If you can't boot into stock recovery (vol down + power key) and can't get into download mode (this is where they detect root once FW update shows up and the bottom left corner says Bootloader: ROOTED) then you can rest assure as long as you are under warranty, send it in to LG directly.
Do not send it to Verizon as you may incur charges for replacement. There's insurance from Verizon, but the real "replace with no charge" warranty is sending it to LG directly. Make an account on their website, register your G2, and make a Repair request by online chat or phone.
I just got my T-mobile G2 back after 2 weeks with the same issues and while it took a while to get repaired, I didn't pay a penny and it works without T-Mobile ever knowing its different hardware (all they replace is the flash memory that is corrupted in the phone).
Only downside is that it came back with KitKat and unrooted which means I have to wait for a working root procedure for it unlike with JB (I'm not afraid to root it again since I know what messed it up before was custom recovery TWRP version 2.6.3.2 that doesn't support KitKat lol).

Not getting into download mode is odd especially for just accepting a OTA update. Remember since they accepted the OTA its gonna take a special way of getting into download mode as the phone will be constantly on in boot loop. not all of the time but most of the time when people say they cant get into bootloader they have to keep trying due to the phone has to be "Turned off" OR rebooted at the same time of holding down the key combo.

To get the phone to turn off, one has to reboot the phone (power key for 10 seconds) while holding volume up WITHOUT having the USB cable plugged in.
Recovery mode is a bit trickier by having to hold the power key for 10 seconds, then just as the phone reboots, hold PWR + VOL DWN and while holding VOL DWN, release PWR and press it again (gets to that factory reset screen where you press PWR 3 times).
Not trying to teach you this if you already know how, just stating it if the OP looks at this then he can try again with the above.
Also, Download mode is essentially the "bootloader" and it is locked meaning unless you have certified software (KDZ FW updater), you can't adb anything just in download mode unlike some LG phones that have emergency mode which is unlocked bootloader.

Yea I know the commands, The guide for going back to stock was created by me for the G2 haha, Hopefully the OP will see your post and try that
ive tried
ive tried factory reset "vol down & power"...its just goes black and stays the same
I'm having about the exact same problem. I rooted my phone a while back, I left it stock and just used some modules (xposed). When I noticed the update I of course was stupid enough to hit the update... My phone is doing the same as his. I can get to the factory reset screen but even if I go through there I get the same black screen (though backlit). I can't boot into download. I'm downloading the .tot needed for stock, but I'm not sure if that'll be a lot of good without download mode. I have everything on my phone backed up from when I rooted it (I'm missing a few pictures but nothing major.) Any and all help would be appreciated. I've got a bunch of precalc homework and Prom in a couple days so I'm willing to sacrifice sleep tonight. Thanks! (Made this account just for this, though I've used the site a bit before.)

It's cuz you're not doing it correctly.
Yes, you're supposed to depress "vol down & power" but once you see LG logo, let go of both buttons and then immediately hold down only the "power" button.
After a few secs, a white factory reset screen will appear. Ignore the warning and press power button. I know, its kinda scary at first, but then phone will load into recovery.
I can get to the factory data reset screen but when i choose yes it just gives me the secure boot error. I am able to put my phone into download mode by pressing up volume and power when plugging to pc, but cant get pc to recognize it. I am sure I am missing something.
i am also bricked. i cant get into download mode or recovery. i have twrp installed, cant get to that either. i have tried every button combination and all i get is a black screen and vibrations, no lg logo. need help.

Call LG verizon will void your warranty
Has anyone made any progress or did all just send back to LG?
I am in similar shape, can get to the white factory reset screen - which does nothing once I accept.
I can also get into download mode, but the phone isn't recognized.
Wanted to confirm before I try to send it back that I can't fix myself.
Thanks!
Also, did anyone who was able to get back to the hard reset screen have luck sending to LG? Or did it have to be completely bricked?
Im also bricked. And there is no recovery mode. download mode is usable. but when i in twrp before brick i deleted efs because i have a back up after that recovery had corrupted and driver in the rom memory to talk to pc had also deleted with efs(i think). I have an idea to fix but im not sure
If I can change rom from mainboard and replace it other rom from other lg g2? Will it solve my and our problem??????
thanks to reply.

[Q] G2 security error phone will not respond

Hi guys,
I bought a g2 and it had a boot error (security error). Pressing the power + up does nothing but bring the phone back to security error logo and turns off. When I try recovery mode it sems to just keep powering off then restarting the phone. Ive check a ton of websites and cant seem to communicate with the device. The only way I can interact with the phone is that I can only boot the phone to the hardware key control mode. I cannot get the phone to communicate in any Way with windows or linux. Does anyone have any ideas, I really would appreciate it.

LG V20 Device is Corrupt and BootLoop

Hey all! Hopefully you can help with this issue. I have had this phone through T Mobile for a few months now, and am stuck in a real bind. As the title suggests, I have a boot loop issue and Device is Corrupt issue as well. The red Triangle is an issue with the OS. I cannot get the phone to boot to Android, nor get into recovery. I can however bring up the IMEI menu, which displayed the IMEI. I really need help, as this is my main contact for job search and family.
Im on sprint so this method is unavalable to me.
Tried LGUP? you have the ability to shoehorn a KDZ file in whicj will bring your phone to stock
As this is a no go for the ls997 i have no idea how this is accomplished. Check the forums for said method.

I will definitely look into this. I just want my phone back TT.TT lol
I wanted to chime in, I've got the same issue as OP.
What's broken:
turning the phone on normally - displays an LG logo; gets stuck, won't proceed past this point
holding VolUp while connected to PC - displays IMEI; won't enter download mode
holding VolDown - displays IMEI; won't enter fastboot or recovery mode
So, there's no way to get to recovery. I'm stuck with a $400 brick that displays a logo or an IMEI number.
LGUP w/Uppercut doesn't work either, shows up as an unrecognized device, and it wouldn't matter if it were recognized, because I can't get the phone to download mode to restore a stock .kdz.
I just ordered the phone on the 4th from Amazon, so I'll see if I can return it/get a replacement, but I'm guessing I won't be that lucky. It does display the orange "WARNING: Bootloader Unlocked" screen, meaning it's very easy to see that the warranty has been voided, so I guess whatever support I get is a crapshoot.
Again, since I can't get to fastboot mode, there's no way to restore to stock and relock the bootloader before returning it. Kinda dug myself into a hole here with no other options.
I got it to install! Now to just play the waiting game and see what happens. I had to do some finagling to get it to work, but it works.
I found a H91810 KDZ, I started Uppercut which loaded LGUP, click on UPGRADE, then selext the KDZ file from where you saved it. Should work. Also make sure all of your drivers are up to date.

Ok, I seem to have my device back up and running. The step I was missing was to remove the battery, disconnect the USB cable, put the battery back in, hold volume down but don't press power, instead connect usb cable. This got me into fastboot and I was able to recover from there.
this might work for you!

okay so holding VolUp while powered down and plugging into pc will bring up download mode if its still there,
if you have twrp installed prior to this red triangle then pull battery/put back battery. hold VolDown and power at the same time, as soon as LG logo comes up release power button (fast) and then hold it back down again while never letting go of VolDown. this is the factory reset hit yes for both questions and it should reboot phone into Recovery mode. some times you have to do it twice to get recovery (twrp) to pop up! i hope you have bootloader unlocked and twrp.

If using the LGUP you must get the G4 Dll file for it to read the phone and com its on. i believe its a common.dll file i cant really remember...

What model do you have?
You can put the phone to download mode (even if screen displays glitchy gibberish screen) by taking out Battery first, put battery back in after 10 seconds. Then just press Vol up and while keeping it pressed, connect to USB. If you have drivers installed, your phone will get recognized by LGUP. Now from here you can flash the stock rom.

Sooo, I have the same problem , here's my story. Please help I've resorted to using a SGH-T599N... Its embarrassing... I'd almost rather have an iPhone...
So Little ol' me was messing around/ deleted google play services/ reboot to twrp to recover but device ended up bricked. At the time, still able to access fastboot. I flashed recovery and firmware. I then tried dload roll back method and when it cleared the phone bootloader locked. So I unlocked bootloader again but when device re-booted the following screen came up and still remains:
" ' Your device has been unlocked and cant be trusted. ' -- ' Your device is booting now... ' " (No options are available.)
I eventually tried to restart to fastboot or erecovery BUT Everytime I try to power down the device, it tries to power up again but needs to charge for a minute before trying to boot itself back up. .(even after being on the charger for hours this happens). The problem with that is I can't get into fastboot or force dload because it automatically starts itself/ has to be plugged in until it turns back on. (Yes i've tried button mashing/ button holding/ etc. did not help)
How do I get the phone to charge, without it booting up? I have a feeling that if I can get it to start (without it first having to charge) I can get it to fastboot/ or erecovery. I have already tried to let the battery COMPLETELY drain.
Outside of that, I know the whole roll back and dload stuff. Currently it flashes the honor logo screen and then sits at "Your device is booting now..."
Bootloader is unlocked
OH! I should clarify, it boots on its own. I've tried disconnecting the battery, having it on the charger without the
battery. With the battery, Starting phone up by re-connecting the battery. No positive results
I'm about to start messing around with firmware flashing utilities, I just don't know of any. I wish there was a way to flash without being in fastboot mode. (I know very little of perl/python/linux, but I am a quick learner if you point me in the right direction.
Thank you in advance

Stuck In Boot Loop After LG Bridge & Uppercut

So long story short I tried to return to stock from fulmics.
There are no good guides to even follow so I'm trying to piece together info from lots of different locations.
It seemed as easy as booting into download mode and using LG Bridge to revert everything to stock. I tried that and got stuck in a boot loop.
I then tried the same thing with uppercut and I'm stuck in the same boot loop.
I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to be doing now. Does anyone have any advice?

Have you already tried to do an hard reset? Since refurbish flash on lgup doesn't work in this case a reset is usually needed in order to correctly boot the system

I think I've only managed to do a soft reset (power + vol down). Trouble is I'm now stuck in the loop of:
- Bootloader unlocked screen
- LG splash screen
- Boot up noise
- LG screen with animation (like it's loading)
Then it just repeats itself. I'm not sure what else I can do other than run the battery flat as I cannot even turn it off.
EDIT: I think I'm just an idiot. I was using the wrong button combos. Feel free to delete this thread it booted up as I was typing this. *facepalm*

Thanks for the replies anyway, it's been a long day haha :highfive:
how do you fix this issue?
i face this problem too as my lg g6 stuck in boot screen and i even cannot turn it off
using combo power + vol down button cannot help. it just keep restart and stuck on boot screen
Edit: Nevermind, i find the solution by connecting g6 to pc paralel with vol up button press when restarting the phone (before lg logo appear)
