Here is how I did it with my was-lx1ac02.
I'm not responsable if you lose all of your data or you brick your phone.
Here is the list off all the thing you need:
- the unlock code for your bootloader
- TWRP recovery, mine is Greatslon version 3.1.1.2
- OEMinfo C432 that you can download from the oeminfo collection on this forum
- the serviceROM C432B182 for dual sim, C432B183 for monosim (OEMinfo and serviceROM have to match)
- MicroSd
(HuaweiUpdate extractor 0.9.9.5)
Let's start.
First off all do a backup because you will encounter many Factory reset.
Then unlock the bootloader and install TWRP, better in recovery2.
Boot in TWRP and you did a backup of your OEMINFO on the microSd, than you change the file of your backup, that you will find under the TWRP directory on the microSd, with the OEMinfo files that you have previously downloaded that use the restore function to install the new OEMinfo.
Reboot the phone and unlock again the bootloader.
Extract the dload directory of the ServiceROM on the MicroSd.
If the TWRP was installed on recovery2 then boot the telephone and dial *#*#2846579#*#* ->ProjectMenu->Software Upgrade->SDCard Upgrade->OK,otherwise you have to reinstall an original Stock recovery that you can extract from the serviceROM with HuaweiUPdate extractor and then dial the service code.
The telephone will install the ROM and reboot.
After that check the serial number of the phone under the Info, if it end with the corresponding code of the service rom it's finished otherwise you have to do another factory reset and change the update.app in the dload directory on the microSd with the corresponding custom from the subdirectory, for example L21A for dual-sim LX1A and Update again the telephone through the service menu.
Now the Serial number should be right. If you still have some issue (Keyboard, NFC), you have to do again a factory reset and Flash again the main ServiceROM (biggest update.app again in dload Directory and again call the update througe the Projectmenu). At this Point the telephone should work perfectly.
I hope it works for you too. Mine is now dualSIM too.

By the way my model is was-lx1ac, which firmware i need, i cant see it ?
for flash in recovery2 twrp, is: fastboot flash recovery2 twrp.img

To Flash in recovery2 you need first to unlock the bootloader and that will do the first factory reset.

I read many thread about using the 3 files to debrand, but then most of the People have issue with NFC and Keyboard, etc.
The problem is that userdata is encrypted so on other forum suggested to use a kernel without encryption activated, that's why I think that the ServiceRom is better. At the end your telephone is like new. The bootloader is locked again. The only difference is that you have only one IMEI.
I've never tried to debrand with the three files, so I don't know if it works or not.
The TWRP versione that I used is this: http://4pda.ru/forum/dl/post/10843379/TWRP_by_GreatSlon.img

Thanks a lot! Its a interesting way to debrand. But my opinion is that when you flashed oeminfo, no need to boot and unlock booloader again with serice codes etc.....Just turn off phone and dload method with three buttons will do the rest of repairing of device. When you press three buttons with dload and upadate.app on SD card stock recovery is the first thing what is installed. After that recovery does the rest of things. I speak with experience with P9 lite. No need flashing stock recovery before dload method with three buttons.

You are right. but in my case TWRP was installed instead of stock recovery so I had to unlock bootloader and install original recovery again.
This is how I did it, probably there are better and easy way

Dload method with three buttons install stock recovery automatically. No need additional step and manual flashing stock recovery. Update.app from larger file include and recovery partition too. When you extract it with Huawei extractor it is visible.

On mentioned link you will find files for both models was-lx1 3gb model and was-lx1a 4gb model. Don't mix those two different models. Just use provided files for your model It means oeminfo for was-lx1a and servise rom for same model.

LX1A
X means some number such as 0 or 2.
L21 dual SIM.
L01 single SIM
A is mark for 4gb model.
So for lx1a is suitable l21a, If you flash dual SIM oeminfo before, of course.

Hi chato.pl
You did all that with bootloader unlocked I suppose......
Eventhough, because I'm new on this, I don't know how to use *.img files from Huawei updater extractor.

You must have installed on your computer (PC) Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
Then, copy these 4 *img files to directory "Minimal ADB..." and execute commands as I wrote.
I have the same problem with version and after sending email to huawei they answered: "Please apply the unlock code in our website huawei. com/en/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=list ". I create an account using email and when i try to get unlocking code gave me an error "Sorry, you must use a phone account to submit this application." . How do you get unlocking code?

Same procedure to come from another firmware ? (B136 dual SIM) for example?
Hello.
One simple question. When I was trying to downgrade my phone, while trying to flash the system.img, the minimal adb said that the file was too big.
How can I proceed?
You have to flash the boot, the cust, the recovery and the system in this orders.
How to downgrade or change B170 to B171? I had G Elite ALE-L23 (single sim), then update to ALE-L21 B170, but I want to update to to MM 6.0 single sim, any guide for this?
P8Lite ALE-L21 HUAWEI Firmware up and downgrades
Hello Developers!
Many many users wrote in the internet that they ran into trouble by upgrading or downgrading firmware on the p8lite device. Actually I want to update from B188 to B524 (Testing Android 6!) but after that I want to go back before my B188 cause I need functions which goes lost after updating to B188, like knockon Feature. The best for me would be a twrp image with the boxed firmware of my phone!
1. Where can I get the Information over which versions I have to go? Is there a version list for specific firmware types? For example - I want to have a list for dual sim European C432XXXimages so that I can see the first to actually launched firmware versions. I don't want to read hundreds of tutorials to find out the right ones.
2. What happens if I use a wrong version number and the phone strikes? Can I got it back to life then? Is twrp working in that case? Or can dload remove the recovery twrp as well?
3. What is with the unlocked boot-loader and root status? I read that users got error messages in the firmware update processes like "Your boot-loader is unlocked, installation aborted" or with other words saying the same. When I have to relock the boot-loader or unroot my handy before upgrading/downgrading firmware versions - or is it not nessessary?
Are there anywhere twrp image downloads for p8lite ALE-L21 which contains the originally boxed firmware?
4. Can I get the HUAWEI recovery back on my phone and remove the twrp?
Thanks for help!
Kind Regards,
Marcel

hi !
can you help me ? i have a P8 lite single sim ale l21 on 6.0 and emui 4.03. Balong c52b311... I flashed system,boot,recovery and cust of ALE-L21C432B601 but i still on 6.0 and emui 4.03 ?
How i can flash new firmware ?

need help to change vns-l21c185b141

I have P9lite vns-l21c185b141 and update it into vns-l21c185b331 through Charles app.. now rollback to marshmallow through Dload method. now its build number show me vns-l21c900b141.. flash it through TWRP but same problem, download verious firmware and use bat C900 is same in All..
Try to flash c432 oeminfo from the tool you can find in the forum, it should works
but it is C185 not C432 , c432 is for Europe and C185 for midlest
Oh I see.. then you have to flash the one of c185, I don't know where you can find it.. maybe you can extract it from the update.app and flash it in fastboot
Look here for the oem info:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/help/oeminfo-t3571834
its same case but not any solution there.
yahoooo i have done... first flash with MEDROM_V2.zip after use SRKToolHuawei-Lod-Chong-V2.0-20161002.exe and change custom bin and oem info... and then Use Dload method..

Flashed wrong oeminfo (L21 on L31) , FRP lock present , dload possible?

Like the title already says, I wrongly flashed the oeminfo of the L21 C432 on my L31 .
Now when I want to rewrite the oeminfo via fastboot I have no access because there is a FRP lock (Bootloader unlocked).
Currently I only see two options:
1. Try to flash a firmware via dload (tried some already, not working) and then flash the original oeminfo again. But is the firmware of a L21 even runnable on the L31?
2. Use DC-Unlock. The question is what should I use there? Is flashing a completely new firmware also overwriting the bad oeminfo? I don´t think so. Or should I remove the FRP lock, flash a new oeminfo and hope that dload is working then?
I hope someone can help me. Such a stupid mistake is just so frustrating, didn´t happen to me in all the years of flashing phones
you can try the dload method using a L21 firmware...

Or should I remove the FRP lock, flash a new oeminfo and hope that dload is working then?

did you ever manage to fix this? I'm stuck in the same loop except my frp is unlocked but my bootloader is locked (Shows in the fastboot white screen mode) I tried to flash via dload method everything from B150 till B380! I was running Nougat rooted and I wanted to downgrade back to MM via flashing oem from twrp but I messed things up!
i cant even dload firstly because i have twrp and 2nd my phone goes stright to erecovery and i cannot find a way to either flash my oem info from twrp back up on my pc or to get new firmware.

TWRP B370 uninstalling dir B380 OTA

Hi,
Got Bad Version of b370 by ota. So I just flashed TWRP nougat. after that I flashed the update_data_full_VNS-L21_hw_eu.zip from here:
update_data_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip
as explained in point 3 of second step:
[GUIDE][NOUGAT]INSTALL V4A/MAGISK/ROOT/TWRP/D2W/... for p9 lite
Now b370 is installed but with twrp. Now Update b380 over ota is available. I want to get Back Stock Recovery. Has anyone a Link for me to flash b370 only Recovery? Or is full b370 flash necessary? I prefer only Recovery doing b380 Update via ota later.
Thanks

Use Huawei Update Extractor to extract recovery.img from update.app, then flash it and you can safely update to B380.
Where can I get update.app ? B370 was OTA. And a small update.app for repair...
Have you got a Link for b370 ? Only flashing Recovery or boot too?
Thanks
Can I take VNS-L21C4321B370 from here:
FULL B370 Version
Do I have only to flash recovery.img or boot.img too ? I don't want to change oeminfo because I have dual sim and I want to keep that.
please reply.
thanks,
Klaus

Heyho,
1st u should read this, because this is the P9 Lite Dev Section... U should ask the next time those questions in the P9 Lite Question & Answer Section...
--
U should try to unlock the "FRP-Lock" because if it's not unlocked u may not be able flash anything via fastboot nor unlock the bootloader it self. After u have unlocked the "FRP-Lock" u should try to flash the recovery.img u have, if it's still not working, try to unlock the bootloader again and repeat the flash.

Sebastian

Well, under developer settings? OEM unlock?^^

If u don't know how to unlock the bootloader u should avoid those modifications... - because, here on XDA are billion guides which show u how are things done, but proofed through ur posts u haven't read only one of it.
Also, if u have a L21 why u flash a L31 cust IMG? Because some guy wrote a simple guide right?
Sarcasm off, based on this thread u should inform u about android before following such noob guide's...

Ok, then this might be ur last chance^^
1) boot into twrp
2) open a cmd prompt to the device
3) navigate to ur adb installation
4) type the following commands:
Code:
adb push "path/to/the/stock/recovey" "/tmp/recovery_stock.img"
adb shell "dd if=/tmp/recovery_stock.img of=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/recovery"
If u get an error that the recovery can't be written, well, then i don't know how to help u. Because if u can't flash the recovery this way, the loader will be really locked. The only solution then might be, call Huawei customer support and send the device to an service-center.

Sebastian

I know what it means to unlock bootloader as I mentioned OEM Lock ist Grey.... Also my above Link to b370 is an L21.
Sebastian, you might have more experience than other Users here but I think it does Not help anyone if you tell people who are asking questions that they should inform before asking...

it sounds clearly that u flashed a L31 cust (data.zip) on ur L21 soo...
And about the "inform before do those things", i mean in the main case, if u really flashed a L31 cust on a L21 u should check those things before u flash those files. Because, if u really did that, u have now a locked device which look like this:
boot = L21
system = L21
recovery = TWRP
oeminfo = L21
cust = L31
now how the system merge the files (if i'm right):
boot - build.prop
system - build.prop (override the boot in some cases)
custom.bin (links to another build.prop) - (override the last values)
cust - build.prop (override the last values)
as u can see, u have now an mixed system of L21 and L31 settings... This maybe cause the problem with the update.app because the update.app have also some checks running before installing, and if it can't determine which system u now really have, it will do the wrong "patchings" etc...
-
So this should not be an personal attack
-
Hope u can solve the prop based on my last post, i linked at the beginning of this.
Regards,
Sebastian
OK sucessfully flashed Recovery from b370 extracted with Your Syntax in twrp Mode.
Now pressing vol Up + Power does Not Boot in twrp. It boot into eRecovery.shows Failed pakage Reading. Updating ota Boots also in Huawei Recovery with Same failure.

easiest way is to flash your oeminfo through twrp, install update.app of stock rom (i know stock mm is around here somewhere, don't know about nougat, just search around), and install the ota's, if they're available

as u quoted ur self and mentioned already by me, I don't have any links... I have read about that somewhere on the i-net... Just use Google... - Also, if u flashed really the recovery2.img, maybe u are not able to update from now on... because u flashed the erecovery instead of the recovery.
I never tried to flash the recovery2.img as normal recovery... So I can't help u anymore.

Updating Huawei P9 Lite h3g/it to Nougat

Hi everyone. I've already rooted my Huawei P9 lite and now I'd like to update it to Android Nougat.
I tried to install different versions of firmware through OTA, but none of them worked out well. I'm starting to think that this is due to the firmware which are not compatible with my device, and considering that my build number is quite uncommon, that could also be the case. I read from some threads that I have to unroot and lock the bootloader again in order to perform the update, but honestly I'm too lazy right now and I'd prefer to keep my device rooted if it's possible.
Does anybody know what could I do in this case?
OEM Build Number: VNS-L31ITAC555B160

Hi,
you have to rebrand to the Global version (IMO) :
1. install TWRP 3.0.2.0 , Link
2. In TWRP flash C432 oeminfo.zip Link
3. Go back to TWRP's menu without reboot
4. Follow instructions (from step 3.).

It has no effect on the phone's functionality.
Btw, there's B371 Link ,but it may be password protected . For Single SIM firmware use this Oeminfo.zip

I tried to flash the C432 oeminfo, but after rebooting a black screen with red text appears and I can't unlock my phone because it's unable to decrypt the internal archive. Same thing with the singlesim oem info.
Also I can't mount the Internal Storage from TWRP because it results as 0 MB.
The only way I found to solve this issue is by restoring the original oeminfo from a previous backup.

Okay, now read carefully:
1. Download TWRP for Nougat Link
2. Flash it over eRecovery (!)
using command:
fastboot flash recovery2 twrp3102.img (recovery2 , not recovery!)
3. Flash stock Recovery Nougat
Link use:
fastboot flash recovery xxxxx.img
4. Reboot, when yellow warning appears, press and hold Volume Up for 3-4 seconds, you should boot into TWRP
5. In TWRP select Wipe - Format data - yes - confirm. Go back - Reboot - System
6. And again, after yellow warning Volume Up and reboot TWRP. Now you can try install second .zip file hw_eu.
7. Reboot into Recovery and do factory reset.
Good luck!

Okay, finally I flashed TWRP. After restart, I pressed Volume Up key but it remains on the yellow warning screen with the text "Your device is booting now...".
Edit:
I solved this by installing Venus TWRP for P9 lite. Then, I followed all the instructions and updated to B416 through dlaod, and later to B418 through OTA. Additionally, I had to unlock the bootloader again and root.
Now I have a fully-functional P9 lite updated to Android Nougat
