Roll back - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hey guys the terrible battery drain on the October update is real bad so is there a way to roll back to the September update using the A/B partition? I'm running completely stock with no root

You can flash the September update through fastboot using Mi Flash tools!

Official OTA update after installing leaked 4.2.2?

Hi there,
Like some people I installed the leaked 4.2.2 update for my Note 8 wifi. I'm curious when the official version comes out for my country (usa) will it show up as an official OTA update or will I have to manually install it?

More than likely you'll have to install it manually. It's very rare that you will see an OTA for an unofficial leaked build.

New lollipop bootloader twrp flashable?

I'm currently running a rooted kitkat based custom rom (purity). I'll eventually want to run a custom lollipop based rom once the dust settles a bit, but don't want to revert back to stock for the ota, and don't want to manually flash a stock 5.0 rom either.
Since I'll need the new bootloader eventually, is there a twrp flashable file for the new bootloader available which I can flash now in preparation for future 5.0 based roms?
Don't have a decent usable pc handy, so if I could do everything straight from the manta itself that would be great.
(crap, wrong forum, sorry)
I haven't seen one, but if you download the image you should be able to use flashify. I have not tested though, so be careful.

Do you have to update the bootloader from kitkat

I'm looking for a flashable zip too! I had problems using flashify and my Mac doesn't detect my N10 in fastboot mode

I have reverted back to lollipop but my download speed is very slow. What should I do?

How did you revert?
I have wiped cache and data from stock recovery and flashed official 2.2.1 zip downloaded from oneplus site.

Back up phone once rooted

Everywhere I read to back up before rooting, since the only time I unroot is for updates and those happen rarely I was wondering if there was a disadvantage in backing up the phone using twrp after rooting to always have my latest installs
Thanks

Disadvantages? Losing 2 minutes of your life and space consuming maybe?
So it's better to backup after rooting ?

You can flash the updates via twrp. Why unroot to just take otas when u can flash them? Yes whenever flashing am update always take a backup just in case something goes sour.
