[VK810] [Altev] [Recovery] TWRP 3.3.0-0 Unofficial - G Pad 8.3 General

Here's a build of TWRP Recovery 3.3.0-0 for the VK810: twrp-3.3.0-0-vk810.img
To install for the first time, follow the same instructions as for the other LG G Pad 8.3 models here: https://twrp.me/lg/lggpad83.html
If already rooted, just download the file and from a local terminal window type:
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/Download/twrp-3.3.0-0-vk810.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
Or on a device that already has an older version of TWRP installed, select Install, tap Install Image, pick the .img file, select Recovery partition, and swipe to install.
I built this from the official TWRP project for the V500, but used the kernel from the unofficial LineageOS 14.1 build available here.

If you want to make modifications or updates, my device configuration project for the VK810 (and V500) are available here: https://github.com/Magendanz/android_device_lge

Note that I just updated the build to TWRP 3.2.1-0. I've also switched to the LineageOS 14.1 prebuilt kernel.

Just updated the build to TWRP v3.2.2-0. Release notes are here.

Do you have any custom roms planned? Or do you know of any good ones available now? Thanks for the new TWRP btw!

I've been using the LineageOS 14.1 builds from @invisiblek (Dan) available here. However, it does have a problem accessing the device sensors, so you can't rotate the screen to change orientation or play many games. I'm anxiously awaiting a LOS 15.1 build.

I tried it and i kept having the screen flicker. Do you have that? I know there is a 8.1 rom for v500... Wonder if there is a way to build off of that? I just barely got this device working again after losing it from a move.

No, I haven't had a problem with screen flicker. The only OREO 8.1 build for v500 that I've seen is this crDroid one from @beroid. If we can find a nice clean LineageOS 15.1 project for v500 like we have for LineageOS 14.1, I can make the modifications to build for vk810. I did it for LineageOS 14.1 using these instructions, but ran into the same problem with the device sensors.

If I had a computer I could try and be of use, but sadly mine is out of service until I start my new job here soon.

Just updated the build to TWRP v3.2.3-0. Release notes are here. We're now building using the twrp-6.0 branch, just like the official v500 device tree.

Thanks for the updates!

[ROM][7.1.1][UNOFFICIAL] unmodified LineageOS 14.1 nightlies

LineageOS for OnePlus3
Hi,
I'm offering unmodified LineageOS nightlies for our device. The builds should be online at around 4:00AM (UTC +1) everyday.
If you want a pure LineageOS experience you should probably give it a try. These builds dont have open beta blobs, oxygen firmwares or anything else included. You are free to flash firmware and modem though, I'm using Oxygen 4.0.1 firmware and modem and its working fine.
I'm not a developer and I won't fix any bugs. If there is a bug, wait for LineageOS team to fix it.
Changelog:
https://www.cmxlog.com/14.1/
Download:
http://webzukunft.de/lineageos/
Status:
OFFICIAL LINEAGEOS DOWNLOADS ARE ONLINE, I WONT POST ANY UPDATES HERE BUT YOU MAY FIND NIGHTLIES UNDER THE GIVEN LINK.
How to install?
1. Reboot to TWRP (I recommend using official twrp 3.0.3)
2. Wipe System, Cache and Dalvik
3. Flash ROM
4. Flash GAPPS (I recommend opengapps)
5. Reboot

Dirty flashed without problems.
Only issue I have since weeks (with every rom) is that my camera is not working 100%. Either doesn't take pictures at all/ force closes or you have to trigger 3-5 times before a picture is taking

hi, Im facing the same issue. its not related to my build and seems to be a general custom rom 7.1.1 problem. thanks for your report.
Thanks for the build. Unfortunately with the latest 2 builds (16./17.1.) inbuild root is not working for me anymore.

Hi, thanks for noticing. I didnt notice it but you are right.
Option is missing in developer settings, too.
You can try flashing SuperSU zip to retain root again! Make sure to check changelogs, so you know if this has been fixed.
Apart from that, 20170117 is up,tested and running.
EDIT:
Ive checked the changes and it seems that LineageOS disabled SU extension by default. Builds can still be made with SU but it has to be done by the device maintainer. They said they are working on an SU extension for Lineageos.
For the time being, you have to flash SuperSU.
Thx for your hard work ... No one is updating .. this ROM on daily basis ... Except you ...

I actually cant tell if there is any difference. This rom is build from LineageOS official github source only. I think dianlujitao uses unmerged commits in his builds sometimes. Choose whats working best for you.
SU is back
Hi guys,
As there wasnt anyone voting for no root, I decided to build this rom with SU now. So any builds starting from 2016-01-25 are with SU. Enjoy root everyone!
Update:
Due to unexpected syncing errors some latest commits are missing in todays 2016-01-25 nightly. Ive fixed the issues and running a build now. Please check for a new 2016-01-25.zip later that day. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Builds available January 21 or 22, 2017

According to ciwrl from the LineageOS Team, "Look for [official Lineage OS] builds to start rolling out this weekend" January 21st & 22nd, 2017
If you are not familiar with the builds download page, when an official LineageOS build is available it will be listed on that page. To find the build for your device, into the left side "Devices" column, click on the appropriate horizontal tab for your device brand name. Then click on the appropriate horizontal sub-tab model name. If your device is not yet listed it means that build is not yet released, please re-visit again later.
There are no estimated time of arrival (ETA) for all builds. If you want builds to be release faster you are welcome to love back your LineageOS community by contributing a code review. Either yourself as volunteer or by paying someone to contribute on your behalf.
Two types of builds:
1. Nightly: For clean fresh install. LineageOS Team recommends that users wipe when switching to LineageOS, and reinstall their gapps.
2. Experimental: For data migration/upgrade from CyanogenMod (CM) 13.0 or 14.1 to LineageOS 14.1. That data migration may or may not work. If it does not work you can always try the Nightly build. Experimental build may wipe permissions. In that case you will have to re-allow app permissions, but should retain all user data. Experimental build is watermarked with an ugly banner to ensure that you do not permanently run that Experimental build, and upgrade to a Nightly build after. Experimental build will be available for two months after January 20th, 2017. Read more.

I hope so... It sucks to have to reapply all of your themes whenever you update.
Ouch. I tried flashing the experimental OnePlus One (bacon) over CM14.1/LineageOS unofficial 20170117. The ZIP signature failed to verify. I (probably foolishly) tried it without ZIP signature verification, and it corrupted the partitions. Back to a few months ago CM14 TWRP backup...
So I highly DON'T recommend trying to flash the 20170123 bacon build if it fails ZIP signature verification.
(Going a touch deeper, there had been problems a couple of major generations of CM ago on the OnePlus One where the ZIPs were fine but the exact signing simply didn't work, and it was appropriate at that time to skip ZIP signature verification, but... oops).

If you flashed the actual nightly (and did a clean install), you shouldn't have this problem. I think.

It's possible that I caused the damage myself. The not-ZIP-signature-verified Experimental flash was taking far longer than usual; after about 30 minutes I cold re-started. After the restart, the /system file system was gone.
Two concerns remain:
1. That TWRP 3.0.2.0 fails the ZIP signature verification on BOTH the Experimental and the Nightly.
2. That the flash took 30+ minutes and hadn't completed, when a normal flash on the OnePlus One (including LineageOS unofficial just a few days earlier) takes perhaps 5 minutes, or less.

MultiRom for oneplus5 cheeseburger
You need to decrypt so either format userdata in TWRP or via fastboot
First build 07/17
I had some issues to get our blockbased zips to boot
Found out i needed a commit in recovery ROM-side, here in Tipsy , here on SlimRom's gerrit so if you have a not boot secondary rom, get your dev to pick it. Lineage should be fine, it's there.
Also an device commit could be needed like here on my Tipsy tree
I'm going to update the OP with an op5 Tipsy build that works as secondary, and will rebuild Validus too.
build 07/17
Recovery: TWRP-GzR-multirom Recovery IMG
Multirom zip: multirom-GzR-cheeseburger ZIP
Multirom uninstaller: uninstaller ZIP
build 07/20
* Enabled icons for the app * Enabled crypto (you still need to decrypt to flash custom roms)
Recovery: TWRP-GzR-multirom Recovery IMG
Multirom zip: multirom-GzR-cheeseburger ZIP
build 07/23
* Fixed booting from the app
Recovery: TWRP_multirom_cheeseburger_20170723-02.img
Multirom zip: multirom-20170723-v33g-UNOFFICIAL-cheeseburger.zip
build 09/19
* updated so i can flash O testbuilds on secondary, so here it is. Experiment at your own risk,
i have tipsy 7.1 last build as primary, and gzosp O as secondary
Recovery: TWRP_multirom_cheeseburger_20170919-03.img
Multirom zip: multirom-20170919-v33o-UNOFFICIAL-cheeseburger.zip
MultiRom Manager apk, added oneplus5 support. (now supports all oneplus devices with mr again)
GzR-MultiROMMgr-5.0.apk
I have no time for a tutorial now, so if you don't know what it is, or how to use it, please don't try
Big thanks to @nkk71 for pointing me at the recovery commit, and all his work on multirom of course :good:
Does it have jelly feature built in?
Unreal much alohas @martinusbe
Cheeseburger + Beer = Tipsy..
Hmmm, I'm suddenly hungry for a cheeseburger
Lovely, so the fun begins properly
Is this AOSP?
Mmmm... GZR... Do i have to be decrypted to try out? Not new to gzr but to OP5
Edit: OK now I see in OP that it "probably needs to be done", can probably confirm, since I tried with encryption but only bootloop.. Too lazy to backup data and decrypt so will probably wait a bit more

It was already answered a couple of times in the official thread ( where you also asked ), so please read the posts before yours there or at least search before asking, which is expected in the forum.
You can migrate from an official build to an unofficial, and vice versa, simply using the appropriate script ( before flashing the rom ) found here :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70452245&postcount=2
Edit : Just make a backup in TWRP before proceeding, to be safe, and you can always restore that if you have any issues.

Odd being it is all formated as every other rom listed in that section.

This might be of interest for users that come searching for unofficial Lineage builds.
The Lineage with MicroG project is still building for this device, and they do every couple of days, by the way. Actually nightlies.

Plenty of other people have opened threads where developers have later posted builds or applications, and those threads are naturally in development sections. I guess a listing only is a grey area and they're being strict but if developers eventually use this thread to post builds it'd be time to ask mods about moving it to development then.

@Flashqueen's build: https://mega.nz/#!VrwFCJxa!Fza8TlHFJ...Z9eCcRw5XZwZmA with november's security patch + part of December's security patch, built December 9th. Also has integrated root and UnifiedNlp support.

I'm sorry, but I managed to destroy my build tree due to an error
As I had no backup I've decided to move on and try AOSP 8. I hate to disappoint some of you but I can't provide builds anymore for the Z Play. So I'd suggest to move on to another of the provided builds. Thanks.

Ouch. Any intention to look at Lineage 15 eventually ?
By the way, regarding the other builds, Shreps' link has changed, that build is now at :
https://moto.shreps.fr/?dir=Moto Z Play (addison)/ROM/Lineage

Well, to be honest, I was so angry that I haven't yet tried to build up another source tree, which takes hours... So currently not. But if I will, I'll let you all know.

Is there any real difference between both releases?

Shrep's build was done a week later, so a week's worth of Lineage commits and / or fixes over the older build.

I'm having a hard time flashing these Lineage OS ROMs. I'm running stock 7.1.1 prior to flashing 14.1, but I keep getting error 7. It says I have 0xC113 but I need 0xC105/106/107/112.
I've tried flashing just the bootloader from the latest 7.1.1 but I'm still stuck and it's driving me nuts.
What am I doing wrong?
Here's another unofficial build, but camera is now broken.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z-play/development/rom-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-t3727440
Flashqueen's build remains the best fully functional one with at least up to most of December's patches ( even if it declares a November patch ) so at this point I'd still recommend it over anything else, other than getting a different, better supported device...
Edit : Lineage with MicroG support last put out a build December 17th, but those builds seem to be broken. I guess without a maintainer fixing things for the device, there's not much point in building as-is, see camera in the linked build above, for instance.

Another good alternative to the above mentioned ROMs would be Mokee ROM. They actually support the device officially and it keeps getting updates on a daily basis. Although it is not actually Lineage it is in fact really close. It even comes with all of the Lineage features, wallpapers and apps by default. Another cool feature is that it comes with Xposed by default :victory:

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][10] LineageOS 17.1 for Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 SM-T800 - chagallwifi

Build for SM-T800 (chagallwifi) this is a SELinux enforced build, signed with Lineage test keys.
It is untested by me as I don't have this device.
It may boot or it may bootloop - IDK.

Use at your own risk.
Please if you cannot use ADB and provide logcat files of issues - do not use or at least don't complain.
If you cannot use ADB/ODIN to flash back to a working version - do not use.
Backup everything before using.
Use TWRP and wipe before installing.
What works - I don't know.
What doesn't work - I don't know.
Donate me a device and you might get better support
Incorporates latest patches:-

This build replaces default Lineage camera with Aperture.apk camera application from Lineage-20 ( which saves video on a SM-T805 ).

Thanks, will try it! Does it have encryption working?
Hi, I've tried Your build and tab was unable to boot unfortunately. It got stuck on LineageOs logo and didn't pass that.

Yes, I did factory reset and wipe data just before flashing and after flashing did wipe cache/dalvik. This metod works for LOS 17.1 by 8224Freak from another thread.

Thanks. I'll wait with this ROM then.
I'm running good old LOS 14.1 at the moment, selinux, encryption, very responsive Brave, all sorts of car diagnostic software.

Hi @bluess57, your Lineage 18.1 build for T805 works great on T800, better than 17.

Sure, why not. Just to note that It's been a long time since i've been flashing roms and taking logcat so I may need some help with that .
foolone stated that LOS 18.1 works on T800, so maybe it's better to already swtich to that build ?
Thank you @bluess57 for your support, is there any chance to this rom to work on Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4” T700?

His LOS18.1 is for T805. To install it on T800, you need to unzip the package, find the install script, and take out the first line. (which check for device). See the 18.1 thread.

Came here to post this. Same thing here. No go, infinite lineage loading logo
I need someone who can obtain a logcat
from this looping image.
Likely you'll need to have installed a working T805 image to turn on developer options and adb debugging, then dirty flash this looping image
Or I'll need to give you people an engineering build to get a logcat
Or I give up on T800

I have a working T800 lineage 14.1 image.
But I have absolutely no idea how to do any of this
Give up? Never! lol
Im also interessted in this as well, as I stubled across my good old chagallwifi and would love to use it as a homeAutomation screen with LineageOS 18.1
Boot loop issue tracked down to missing consumer IR library , thankyou @zboq , who provided logcat and quick turnaround testing.
So for chagallwifi this boots:-
