Good sound mod for OP5? - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hey! I am looking for a good sound mod for the OnePlus 5 running OOS 5.4.13!
My last phone was a Sony Xperia Z5 (had some pretty sick sound mods installed) and I really want good headphone sound again!
I prefer sound mods where I can play around with bass, clarity etc!
links are appreciated
btw for speakers I am currently using the stereo sound mod

A very comprehensive sound mod, if your rooted, is Vipe4Anddroid ARISE. Read the original post for details. Note that you'll need to debloat to make room in the /system partition so I've included the link to an AROMA OP5 debloater, again read the original post for details.
Good Luck.

You need to read the ARISE first post as ARISE is a collection of sound mods including Viper4Android. ARISE allows you to select one or more sound mods. You can even skip V4A entirely. ARISE includes two versions V4A with the latest version needed so that it can work on the OP5s OOS (Nougat). I've personally only used ARISE for the V4A that works with OOS and the OP5.

@3DSammy
Thanks !
Maybe I'll check it but not sure because I'm enjoying classic V4A on OP5.
I think this version is deep enough regarding settings possibilities.
(To make it works on OP5, I flashed it on TWRP, installed the application and there a system file to be renamed for the drivers could work).

There are some sound mods floating around the MXP thread that some have said work. Like Dolby Atmos is one, iv used it on other phones and it worked great, i recently tried it for this phone, it flashed fine, but it did not take affect for some reason. Maybe some others can chime in and share what they've tried.

I'm waiting for the next version of extremebeats to be released since Apollo gives me constant maxx audio force closes on marshmallow and viper4android gave me no effects.

I'm using Viper/Atmos/Beats/Huawei and it works great. If you've never used Viper audio before, there are a quite a few parameters that can be adjusted. I'd start with Atmos, then tweak Viper to your liking.

The link I provided is an installer of Viper and Atmos. The developer has been working on the installation method for the last month or so to be compatible with most devices. I, like you, had problems with Viper and Atmos on this phone until I came across that thread. I'd highly recommend trying.

Thanks for the respons.
The link you provided IS the the one I tried.
I downloaded the first one of the 3 in the op, which was 'Dolby Atmos' downloaded it, and flashed it. Am I missing something? Can you please tell me exactly what you dl and flashed from the op of that thread?
Thanks
Edit:
OK I figured out the problem. In the very beginning of that thread The op lists Viper Atmos , Beatz, and Beatz Huawai, with a link to each of those. So I clicked on the Viper Atmos which pointed to a thread that was simply Dolby Atmos, with no Viper , nothing else, just Dolby Atmos. That's all I needed imo bec in prior phones all I would need to do is flash Dolby Atmos, without anything else, and I personally don't like/ need Viper. The way Dolby Atmos had worked prior was good with me.
But as I said Simply flashing Dolby Atmos wasn't working on this for some reason, so as I scrolled down to the very bottom of the first post, I seen all the downloads, Viper Atmos light and dark, Viper Atmos with Beatz light and dark, etc etc etc. See I thought those first 3 the op had listed at the very top were the actual downloads to his thread.
So that's why it wasn't working. Sorry about that.
I guess to get system wide improvement of sound on this device, Viper must be included.
Again, sorry for the mix up

Thanks again

Oh, yeah, read the edit. It's a long OP with the downloads near the bottom. I do recommend the Beats/Huawei for the added files and improvement overall, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Use the one recommended to me in post 11.
I wiped caches, flashed that zip, wiped caches.
2 apps will install Dolby Atmos and Viper. I don't mess with Viper, I actually uninstalled it. I use the Dolby Atmos app, if you go in there you'll see you can adjust the sound to your liking. You'll see what I mean when you open the app.
It def improves Audio quality.
Like I said I don't mess with the Viper app but if you want Google it. What Dolby Atmos allows me to do is enough for me tho.

Hey
Yeah I personally have no interest In Viper4android, all I really need is the Dolby Atmos app. So after I flash the mod, I uninstall Viper, I had to make sure it would mess with the mod working but it doesn't so I just uninstall it.
And use the Dolby Atmos app and edit to your liking.
I can't say what is the best. Just play with it, and find what you think sounds the best.

What about the XT1575 using TruPureXMM 2.4 with Franken Kernel with xposed installed?
Would making speakers sound better work under the description above?

Is your phone rooted ? You need root access to install Viper4Android. I loved it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and LG G3 but I didn't try to install it on Honor 7.

At least you have to be rooted, with Busybox and SElinux in permissive mode or check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3289075 it's easier and you don't need to be in permissive mode, just flash in TWRP. I use it nevertheless it doesn't work with stock music player for me.

Sound Enhancement

What is the latest/ most up to date audio enhancement package that works with the 6p these days? Is it still Viper or is Arise the newer one? And If I want to install, do I need to find a system specific thread for our 6p? Or is there an all in one thread for the respective project (Viper/Arise). Last time I tried to get Viper4Android installed, It didnt go so well, Im hoping the latest greatest goes a bit more smoothly for me (although Im sure it was me and not the package).
I've had the best results with latest Arise Deuteronomy/ SwanSong with V4A 2.3.4, Smeejaytee toolbox and ICE Sound (config 2, pure **** preset). There's now an Aroma installer option which makes it pretty easy to pick what you want.
ARISE thread with info, download links and tons of support.

Thanks, that's what mi5 was missing! I tested with a video on YouTube (stereo test) and when the sound focus is on the left side both speakers work and when it's right side only the speaker (next to usb-c) works. Can you tell me which lines I have to edit to disable the bass speaker (next to usb) when the focus is on the left side? (Just for testing purposes)
