You on lineage os? What would a typical battery charge get you? So? How is standby?

sir im using aosp right now, stand by time us easily 2 days. but i hardly leave my phone on stand by ?

On stock with heavy use I get around 14h out of my M10 pro.
I'd imagine you can easily get 2 days out of it with battery saving and light usage. I was on a camping trip earlier this year and had my Mate 10 in ultra power saving for a day, where it only lost like 7% over the course of 15 hours.

With light use, I can get 2 days out of this phone. I never could with my rooted s5. I'm thrilled with how good this thing works with light usage.

what s the point of being completely stock or not? it s a well known fact that rooted (aka non-stock) users get the best experience out of android phones...if i wanted to stick with stock i would have gotten an iphone LOL )
here are my results after testing- check out my results of light usage - post #223 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=64195339
Stock Dual Sim n920cd
My T mobile Note 5 with light uses lasted for 2d 3h 50m after fully charged . I dont know how to add pictures to my post so i'll list my battery usages here.. (navigating with Google map, wifi or data always on, location always on, screen on for almost 4 hours, 1 hour of navigating with gps). It runs a fully stock room and firmware, non rooted, but with some bloatware disabled.

Hi
My estimated usage is 48h 47 min. I have disabled quite a few apps with package disabler pro and only have location settings on when I need to use the phone as a sat navigation.
Dave
I've been using my phone very lightly recently and I'm getting good numbers on battery pefromance. I'm not wacthing a ton of youtube vids, twitch, social media, or sending lots of pics or videos. So my phone for the most part while I'm at work is streaming spotify. Sure I'll look up stuff and ebay or social media but not for long. So recenlty light use endurance for me is pretty good. But still doesn't help that while at work, I have 3g and sucks the battery and I have to charge it at least once a day, but considering light use endurance I'll that out of the equation.

Can a few of you guys post how much mA the phone uses when e.g. playing music for several hours ?
exact hours + minutes and the consumed mAh ?
I'm looking for a phone in the long term that is very efficient with music playback yet has power (like the Note 5 Pro so need more information about it)
Thanks
I got this much backup...

It's from the Nougat MIUI 9.2.4, now i don't even think of that much backup now because I get like 7 ~ 8 hours of sot in miui 10 global beta ROMs....
Never expected I would get this much standby time out of it, but I am still pleasantly impressed. Screen was 50-70% brightness 90% of the time. On WiFi 100% of the time.
On Pixel Experience Plus (from September 26th), no battery saver, running Extended Kernel EAS.

Did both of you even realize that it isn't the right place to type this stuff?
Move to Q/A.
Safe to say mine loses 1% every 3 or so minutes just by listening to music or scrolling through the gallery and a bit of texting. Battery life has been pretty terrible

That is really great stanby time. Reminds me of times when phones would last weeks on a charge....could be a challenge for the MG8P ^^
I will try to max out this light usage with some settings of my own. I don't blive dark mode will make any difference because MG8P has LCD panel however it's easier on the eyes and it's easier for me to read.
I turned off all animations, install lite version of some apps and see what happens on my next charge
^^
Screen shot below.
Dark mode will have an effect on battery, it may by minor however. I have it on dark mode and agree, it is easier on the eye.
My current battery stats from noon yesterday. My usage on dark mode and without animations was inconsistent however I will return to it and see how it works
A day off the battery for me I hope I can go three days
Made it to 10 hours of screen on time
And 2 days of battery damn this phone's battery i
S amazing

even if you use it lightly you need to frequently re-charge
I get 2+ days if I don't play with my apps too much. I do use Greenify w/o root w/adb

I guess you are running stock Android 12. Its full of bugs and drains battery a lot. Either downgrade it to 11 or use custom 12 ROM. Here's mine running android 10.

He's just relaying the general consensus re: best practice for battery longevity...it's best to not let your battery get too low b4 charging and only charge to 80% if u need the max possible battery lifetime. Imo that's for those who don't/can't upgrade often and need their phones to last 3-4+ years under heavy use. I try and get a new phone every 2 years so I charge to 90% and 'try' to charge b4 my batt saver activates at 15%.

Oh, my bad. Me too keep my phones for 3-4 years. And I also charge my phone till 80% only. With 100% full charge its a 2 day phone for me. I have a 3 year old iPhone XR and battery health still at 90%.
