HELP NEEDED . Flashing issues and know only black screen... - Lenovo Yoga Book Questions & Answers

Hello, i really need your help.
I tried to flash a stock rom with Platform Flash Tool Lite. During the Flashing there where no issues but something went wrong during booting the device. And now the device wont boot up anymore. All i get is a black screen as if the screen is dead. I cant get into fastboot / recovery mode, too... "Adb devices" gets no entry... from time to time as i hit the physical buttons like "power" "volup" and "voldown" the yogabook would react, meaning there is a vibration...
Does anyone knows any hint? Any help is appreciated...

i forgot to mention. The led (located at the usb port) flashes from time to time...

[Help] How to prevent the phone from auto booting?

Hi all,
I dunno if any of my steps goes wrong, but my phone keeps auto booting even i dont push the RED button, even i remove the battery and put it back again, it keeps auto booting so i cant choose fastboot mode or recovery mode.
All i did is:
- fastboot boot recovery-RAv1.2.1H.img
- choose Apply sdcard:choose zip and select update.Engineering-SPL-HBOOT-1.33.2004-signed.zip
Is it bricked? Could anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
1st off wrong section man you gotta take this to general...
2nd try press and hold home and power see if you go into recovery...if you do then your not bricked.
sorry i'll move this to general
so did you get it to work?
no i cant boot to recovery or fastboot, it just keep showing the htc splash screen, i'll take it to the htc care guys to see if they could help me. thanks btw
is your phone plugged into your PC when this happens? Dumb I know but when my phone is plugged into my pc it autoboots
Yes i realized it afterwards, i just unplug the usb cable and it stops auto-booting, but i cant reach the recovery and fastboot afterwards. Anyway, i've already take it to the customer service and seems that they have way to flush back all the software part and i could have my magic 3 days later
Actually i just wonder which step is wrong for me, should i root the spl before flashing a new one? or i should just skip it? i wanted to know this more

bad radio flash = brick?

Hi!
i recently bought a Vodafone branded Magic for spare parts
previous owner said it went bizerk after radio update
after turning it on, it vibrates and displays the first boot screen (HTC MAGIC with a black background) and stays like that forever
fastboot doesn't work, hboot: no, recovery: no, even the pc does not recognize it (charges at least)
is there anything i could do to revive it?
or should i rip it open and sell the parts
p.s. i've searched the solution for quite a while now, but all similar threads usually end with the phone being replaced (which is a no-no for me, as it's originally bought from Germany )
sorry, it's definitely bricked.
Hi,
I've read bit on the forum. Maybe from the radiobootloader, you can try some reasearch? THere is no clear indication on how to do it but as you're stuck anyway, it's worth trying it.
To enter radiobootloader: push trackball and poweron/end key. YOu should see the blue led.

Then with a console cable (HTC serial debug cable), you might have access to some console command.... if any.
Here are more explanation for the hero but they might be also in the magic.

I performed a SPL flash, the phone rebooted ,it took long time rebooting so i got panicked i pulled out the battery ( wasn't a smart move ).
tried to start the phone.. now i was stuck at the first splash screen.
-pulled out the battery and back again start the phone... stuck at the first splash screen or boot looping endlessly,
-did all possible key combinations to get in fastboot, recovery mode... nothing.
-cried for help, got directed to a post similar to mo my case... worked for me hope it dose for everyone else.
here is what i did (followed):
-On the PC, i ran the command 'fastboot boot recoveryimage.img'.
-At this point the command says 'waiting for device' (or something like that).
-I removed the battery.
-I Connected USB.
-I inserted the battery.
-I booted the phone while holding the HOME key.
-The phone still froze at the first splash screen, but then suddenly, the waiting fastboot command detected the phone and booted the recovery image!
flashed again but this time checked step twice before i check it a third time, and flashed the SPL and radio and the rom.
thanks for the replies
sheesh, it's so easy to brick this phone!
Flash Intel BIOS to AMD based motherboard on your PC and the only thing you can do is to exchange BIOS electronic (unless you have dual BIOS mobo).
So, you flashed wrong RADIO to your phone? Open it up and exchange soldered FLASH unit with proper one - good luck.
Or maybe you have HTC hardware flashing tool for flashing FLASH unit without removing it from the mobo of the phone then you can save your unit.

HTC Sapphire 32A cannot load Recovery or Fastboot (bricked?)

Hey all.
i tried to flash the 2.22.23.02 radio.
after doing so, the phone loads the Rogers screen, stays there for some time, and then reboots, loading the rogers screen again. this continues indefinitely.
i can no longer access the recovery screen (power+home) or the fastboot screen (power+back).
i have searched for a possible solution, to no avail.
is the phone bricked ? is there any way out of this ?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Yaniv.
Have you tried removing battery and hold home button when inserting it again?
yes, i have removed the battery and tried booting into either fastboot or recovery. No luck. as before, it only shows the rogers screen.
i suspect the radio installation was compromised. the battery may have been removed part way through the installation, or the radio file itself may have been corrupt. is there any way to recover from that ?

same here, i bricked my phone today when trying to flash 2.22.23.02 The boot-logo has stuck and I can't do anything.
Anyone got a solution? I tried almost everything I found on the internet. I just can't access recovery/fastboot mode.
Everytime i try to connect my phone with USB it says < waiting for device > although it's properly connected.

Click to collapse
apparently keep inserting your usb cable and it should pick up. linux ubuntu with adb tools quicker apparently too.
what steps did yo take to get it to wait for devices.
if you stilll have power light light then you should be able to push recovery at some point, but keep trying for 15 mins or so

Phone screen black, fastboot loads ok.

Hi guys,
I recently tried to flash a rom on my phone and when the process was done, all I got was a black screen.
Fastboot still works and I can flash euro roms like on the tutorias fine but the phone simply wont boot.
I can go into emergency mode to flash in it in KDZ, the flashing works fine but still, the phone only displays a black screen.
When I press the power button it vibrates, the PC recognizes the device fine, so I know the phone isnt bricked, I just cant get it to display anything on the screen! please help!
Which rom did you try ?
Using swiftdroid RC4 2.0, but I found out what the problem was. Since on flashboot factory reset was in German, "reset und wipe" or something like that, I did not check it. Reflashed it and it is now working, the only problem is taht tehre are no boot animations whatsoever. only a black screen between pressing the button and going into android. any fix for that?
thank you for the replies!
EDIT: Also, by going into reboot > Recovery, nothing is displayed. this only happens on boot. I flashed originally with Euro+fast.kdz, and that is when this problem begun.
Flash this boot.img
and for the recovery, ace you installed??
I installed CWM for recovery, if that is what you asked.
Going to try to flash it and let you know, hope it does break anything
EDIT: nothing. No boot images. Going to leave it alone until I need it for something. I use an X10 mini, I just bought this phone for testing. Not liking the resistive screen!
you tried to flash an X10 with Rc4 ?
No, I have an X10 which is my default phone, I boght this optimus for testing, I flashed RC4 on the optimus, not the mini. not that stupid
You're not the only one with this problem, this will fix it.

Yep, follow this... since I can't post links, I can't help......

[Q] [XOOM 2/MZ608-16] Won't boot/charge / bricked

Hello everyone.
I searched the whole forum and found similar threads with kinda the same problem - but no solution worked for me (or aswell none was stated).
My problem is that my Xoom 2 ME (MZ608-16) (Android 4.0.4) won't turn back on, doesn't light up the LED when charging and seems to be fully bricked.
I also tried to do those button-combo tricks but it had no use. I held those combos several times for a longer period.
But what I can tell is that the screen does a small short flash as if it would boot after holding the buttons POWER/LOCK + SOUND UP for a short time.
Holding those buttons even longer after the first not-easy-to-notice flash it rapidly happens again and again.
What caused this trouble was that I tried to flash the firmware after rooting.
First I stocked at a screen showed that some flash didn't worked out well (looks like fastboot mode).. that happend after trying to flash the recovery to do a proper backup before to do the-stuff-i-wished-to-do. It showes up every boot. Normal boot could be inizialized even though after entering the "control menu" via pressing VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER/LOCK on the same time and releae it.
After that I wished to fix it via flashing the whole firmware in hope the message would go away.. troublesome was that I used the wrong firmware for another Model than the MZ608.
And now I'm stocked.
You all helped me already a few times without me registering.
Now I hope you can help me ones again.
Thank you very much in advance.
Greetings
Zeitwaechter
Edit 2013-05-08: Still no changes.
I request further help
You can put phone back into fastboot using factory cable method - see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077414
If the phone is bricked then you need to use omapflash to flash fastboot and then the image - see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242330
