How would I go about flashing this to a carrier unlocked version? I've tried wiith ODIN and it fails (no specific error given). I'm also not sure how to flash the userdata - does that go in the ums field? any help would be appreciated!

I would not flash this to unlocked carrier. This will give you bloat.

I got everything working that I wanted. I used this post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/snap-guide-flashing-standard-fw-carrier-t3627255) as direction. So far, the QI5 att firmware on the unlocked version is gicing me HD calling & Video calling. LOTS of bloat but that was known going into it.

Help! No network after flashing gpe!

So, first of all -- I get it, I'm a noob. But everyone's gotta start somewhere, and so did you.
Moving on, I had a stock Galaxy S4 i9505 on 4.2.2, locked to Portugal's Vodafone (I now understand this is probably what caused my issues).
I wiped data, cache, and flashed the Google Play Edition ROM. When the phone booted, I had no network, even after inserting the PIN number and going through the setup process. So I went to the Network Carrier selector in the Settings (Settings More - Mobile Networks - Network Operators) and selected Vodafone from the menu.
Then I got network. For 2 minutes. Then no network again, until I repeated. So this was driving me nuts, and I Googled what to do, and found out I could use an app called "Network" to try and switch from WCDMA to CDMA. So I downloaded that app, changed my network (to something - I don't know what since I can't open the app, as it crashes every time), and I'm still with the same issue.
Flashed back stock image and restored nandroid backup - nothing helped. Any solutions?
TL;DR: GS4 Locked to Vodafone -- Flashed GPe ROM -- No Network -- Flashed Stock -- Still no network
EDIT: I actually didn't quite flash back to where I was before, so I can't get my Nandroid backup to work (bootloop); I was on 4.2.2 stock, ended up flashing 4.3 stock since I couldn't find a 4.2.2, so my backup doesn't work.
Bump! Please someone help out, it's not my phone, it's my dad's, and I really have to get it to work really fast, he needs it for work.

Flash T-Mobile S7 ROM on AT&T S7

Hey XDA,
I just recently purchased a AT&T S7 (SM-G930A). I also just recently found out that AT&T doesn't push updates to non AT&T network phones. I am using the phone with T-Mobile and I was wondering if it was possible to flash the T-Mobile stock rom without tripping Knox or anything of that sort. I remember being able to do this to my AT&T Note 2 back in the day. If it is possible, can someone kindly link me to the file and instructions on how to flash the stock ROM from T-Mobile? Thanks!
You can, however once you do you can't go back. It may be possible in the future, but Tmobile has a v3 bootloader, and AT&T is still on v2 bootloader.

Thank you! One more question, I have the stock T-Mobile ROM and for the CSC, there are two files:
CSC and HOME_CSC
Which one do I choose in Odin for the CSC option?
Thanks
When attempting to flash using Odin 3.12.3, I get this error in the log:
FAIL! SHA256 is invalid
This seems to be because of a corrupt file?
I downloaded the ROM from two different sources now and still I get the same error.
Thanks

So TMobile ROM on 930A . Any issues ? Did you try going back to AT&T ROM
All that talk out bootloader versions and not able to restore back to AT&T ROM
Can you odin Unlocked 930U version ?
I'm using Cricket on AT&T S7 variant and I couldn't get any update from AT&T, which pissed me off. So I decided to flash G930U firmware and I succeeded. But unfortunately, there isn't a single G930U update been released so far, which is quite surprising.
Other than the update, I'm extremely satisfied with the new firmware. It's so fast and clean comparing to my previous bloated AT&T firmware, free of all kinds of overheating, battery dropping, slowing down, crashing, auto-restarting, bugs and lags (Just so you know, my G930A firmware was the newest. I had to take my phone to Best Buy to update. And I used PDP to disable bloatwares). I highly recommend everyone to flash G930U. The new firmware also has an APP called Samsung+. It's very useful and it tells you if it detected slow charging, or reminds you to restart your phone if it hasn't been restarted for a while, etc.
I'm still wondering if I can receive OTA after flashing anther variant firmware, but I can't confirm since there's no update for G930U yet. I'm curious to know if OP could receive any T-Mobile update after flashing.

I flashed to the latest update of the ROM so I can't prove it works. But from what I've heard, after flashing the ROM you need to factory reset the phone so it can unregister from att and register to whatever carrier you are using it on. I am not sure how true this is but I read it somewhere and it seems to make sense.

if you ever switch ROMs please check about the issue of bootloader version and not able to revert back .
Not able to revert back is the only issue keeping me from odin to T mobile ROM
If bootloader version is a problem then you cannot flash 930U firmware also
Is that so ?

I'm not sure what bootloader the G930U has. The att ROM has v2. If it's newer than that, then downgrading isn't possible. Is its the same, then it should be fine.

Quick question. I have a galaxy s7 sm-g930t1 which is the galaxy s7 with metro-pcs. Will this work on this model. It has snapdragon which has a locked bootloader that makes sure its signed. I would assume it would work as long as I also flash the bootloader with this version but I want to be sure.
I ended up just giving it a try and it worked. Thank you!
I'm getting the "sha256 is invalid" error when trying to flash this - I'm using the AT&T Nougat version and want to get my wifi-calling back. Any reason why this may be happening?
