Gear 360 Manager App on Note 4?

I just ordered the new Samsung Gear 360 camera. Although it can be used without a phone, having a compatible phone is very useful for it. The Gear 360 Manager app for it is only compatible with the Note 5, S7, S7 Edge (newer phones).
I've downloaded the Gear 360 Manager apk but it won't let me install on my Note 4. Surely there must be a way.
Can anyone help or know of a way to do it?
Thanks.
Anyone? I'll donate to a developer who can. Please.
Please test this modded version (original 1.0.4). I have just modded it but i am not able to test it, becasue my Gear360 is still in delivery

Hi Bin4ry
I've a Galaxy Note 3 (N9005) with lollipop 5.0, I've tried to download your 360 manager mod but I receive an "error parsing package". Is there a way for to try too with my note 3?

Are you on marshmallow? Do you install from phone or from adb?
Please deactivate "verify apps" and activate "unknown sources" option on your phone.
I have no problem installing the app through adb on a Xperia Z5, but i don't have the camera to test functionality.
EDIT:
Get the latest version here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-samsung-gear-360-manager-device-t3400383
Best way: download to pc, run
adb install Gear360Manager-mod.apk

Ok I have it installed on my Note 4 Marshmallow. I think the parsing error people may get is from an incomplete download from that link.
Once installed and connected, I can view settings and files on the Gear 360.
I cannot get a Live View though, the app crashes when I attempt to connect for a Live View and control.
This is excellent though!
Donation coming your way shortly. Thanks so much!

I am happy to hear that! Well for the liveview i need the cam here to actually test what is crashing, but i think to have access to the full settings was the most urgent problem =) But could you get me a logcat while the app crashes when entering livemode? I can take a look whats actually wrong there and maybe fix it.

Sent you $20 USD. Please continue to develop this. Would love to have Live View working. Also directed people from the Gear360 FB group to here. Cheers!

Got it thank you, i will try to improve the port. Can you maybe take a logcat while the liveview is crashing? It may help debugging the problem until my camera arrives

ok thank you very much Bin4ry.
at the moment I haven't the gear 360 camera but I'd like to buy it. Now I can only say that your app mod for my note 3 is installed without problem.
please, if someone has the opportunity to test it with a note 3 or also note 4 (I think is the same)

Yeah still doing it wrong I'm sure. Sorry. I'm pure stock unrooted if that matters.
I open alogcat, then try to open live view on the 360 Manager and after it crashes I go back into alogcat and export the text file. Was hoping it's as simple as that, instead of trying to adb it.
donated 10 dollars. Keep it up and see if you can make it look live. many thanks

I have successfully installed the APK Gear360Manager-mod.apk in my Samsung Galaxy S4 (I337M). But this application depends on another call "Samsung Accessory Service".
I found it at:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.accessory&hl=es_419 < "Samsung Accessory Service"
But, no optión to install it in my Galaxy S4. So, I got it from:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd-3/samsung-accessory-service/ <- Download original app from here
The app is "successfully installed". But when I open Gear360Manager app told me: "You must install Sansung Accessory Service. Install now?" and send me to samsung page on browser.
I did a reboot of my phone... same thing.
Is it possible to mod this app?
Thank you!
Note: I will be owner of "Samsung Galaxy Gear 360" Camera in the next few days.

Samsung Accessory Service, "solved"
Starting from scratch:
1) Installed "Galaxy Apps 4.1.04-10 " from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...e/galaxy-apps-4-1-04-10-android-apk-download/
2) Installed your Gear360Manager-mod.apk . Open it, and tell me it need "Samsung Accessory Service", press "OK" and open "Galaxy Apps" app and install newer version of "Samsung Accessory Service". Finish ok.
3) Open Gear360Manager, and crash immediately!!!
I'm attaching the logcat of crashing:

Note: I'm on Android 6.0, from JDCTeam.
Thanks.

[FIX] Front camera fix on the official CM13 builds

Hello.
I do not know but maybe it will be usefull for someone. I had dead front camera issue on the official CM13 builds.
So i fixed it:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Fin8UxrD6PTWZ2cjFuaVVaYk0/view
Just flash it via TWRP and you will get working front camera.
I created thist hread because i hope that this way this issue will be fixed faster by TheStrix.
P.S. My original first post with a fix is there:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68183787&postcount=18
P.P.S My fix method is so stupid and simple but it works.
Maybe i will fing better fix later.
Thanks it works great
Do you think this fix could be implemented in a custom kernel?

I think that it will work on any custom kernel because it is not fault of it.
It is a fault of missing files in a custom rom.
This is such a wonderful share! One reason for me not flashing official cm13 is this front camera issue.. ( apart from the goodix issue ofcourse ) but seeing a working fix for the camera, now I am thinking twice! I think I can use cm13 now as a daily driver.. I am looking forward for fp fix in the future as well for goodix ones.

Thanks! Trying it out now!
hi,
thanks for your work
but for me it does not work yet.
problem is diversity of hardware
my front cam s5k5e8 mod (z5e8yab) work fine !! bat back cam s5k3p3 mod gt24c64?* or f3p3man (I'm not sure which) missing libraries and crash (error can’t connect)
you could add libraries for both gt24c64, f3p3man
thx
Looks like the fix was added to cm

I think it was added to CM14 branch not CM13 branch.

welp, seems they will abandon CM13 and continuing project for CM14. I hope some custom kernels can implement this new patch on CM13 until CM14 stable/nightly builds coming.

Looks like it... I guess I just have to wait for the Official CM14 or the MIUI 8 Marsmallow edition.
My rear camera works fine on every ROM, but front only in MIUI. On AOSP/CM based phone doesn't see a front camera, even after I installed these blobs.

Can you share what program did you use to check your camera, I mean this screenshot showing software version?
BTW: I applied blobs from 1408 over official CM and it works like a charm.

tap on MIUI build number and it will enter CIT mode. I believe that is in software version.

@Yahia Angelo Hi ,check this out stock marshmallow kernel for N900. It is ported from Tab S
android_kernel_samsung_universal5420/build.sh at stock-6.0 · jcadduono/android_kernel_samsung_universal5420 · GitHub
https://github.com/jcadduono/android_kernel_samsung_universal5420/blob/stock-6.0/build.sh
We have kernel, we have developers, i think finally its time to taste Marshmallow.

[Help] Samsung Pass Not Working! - BK Manager Pro

Hey guys!
I'm a normal everyday user.
I've installed BK Manager Pro to disable some apps (160 total) to increase performance and battery life.
Almost all samsung bloatware is inactive, only two things I wanna use is Samsung Pay (works) and Samsung Pass (not working).
Could someone tell me which processes i need for getting Samsung pass working?
Here is a list of all i've disabled : Edit, I could not post link due new member, posted it below.
Hope someone could give me an answer, i tired to google it, but cant find it.
I can open the "app" and login, and sercret mode on Samsung Browers works.
But all the passwords I've stored is gone, when I enable all the processes again all the passwords come back.
Thanks!
Regards,
Todelu
