URGENT HELP: SM-G928G [BVO] Flashed Stock 7.0/Multi-CSC [.pit file]/No Cell Service - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, everyone,
I need some urgent help... I used Odin to flash the recent BVO Nougat software - but, I also flashed the multi-csc .pit file from here in Odin's PIT section: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus/general/galaxy-edge-plus-g928-pit-file-branded-t3223375 - in which I downloaded the UBU .pit file from here: https://1fichier.com/?qfomh7q9k5 .
All flashed just fine using the settings: F. Reset Time, Auto-Reboot, and Repartition; however, the only problem I have is that I now do not have celular service. My IMEI and Serial Number are still intact - so, I haven't lost my IMEI (in the About Phone section it shows an actual IMEI). What did I do wrong - and, what can I do about it?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS!

[Q]sm-n9005 imei null baseband unknown

i have sm-n9005
i wish to update 4.3 to 4.4.2
but it give fails
then i flash it with pit 32 gb
after flash it give memory error .i reset it and then it turns on but now baseband is unknown and imei null
any idea what to do?
Do you have EFS backup?
Sent from my SM-N900 using XDA Free mobile app
Try to know your original CSC
I am in the same case.
After trying every solution I found, there is no way to solve this brick if you don't have an EFS backup.
So you can try 2 solutions ...
1 buy an other note 3 with an other problem but with working motherboard
2 try to fix with the original version of ROM but not sure that it will work
Therefore, if you find a solution, we are many people here that are in the same case
regards
did u try a pit file and flashing back to 4.3.. u need a pit for 4.3 rom i think
Solution that worked for me and info on a few other options
I just survived the imei null/no baseband ritual many of us suspiciously had to go through with the UFNG2 update.
Nandroid backup got corrupted after external hdd got corrupted which made the softbrick experience that much more fun
and all my EFS backups were damaged or gone. .
-The UGNG1 update fixed this particular problem for me (and introduced me to bluetooth issues this time around).
* Reflashing modem with modem.bin file before the update didn't help.
* Neither did flashing with the latest modem files which gave me a binary error.
But perhaps you will have better luck like others so check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/ref-galaxy-note-3-sm-n9005-gsm-modems-t2842806 to find the files.
* The Efs professional tool could not connect to the phone due to COM being inaccessible.
When flashing stockfirmwares and the modem odin would also display error message in regards to this.
Do check it out thouhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/orig-development/tool-updated-09-06-14-efs-professional-t1308546.
After too many hours wasted only QPST v2.7 Build 4.11 seemed to overcome the Locked/inaccessible com problem
It accessed it and i could see it in the device manager of windows so after hours and hours of getting no where this seemed like my best bet.
But then the firmware news reached me and i went for the more familiar way.
£ when flashing the NG1 firmware i also added the HOS and modem file in odin (CSC).
The error message regarding locked com appeared in the odin log.
I assume that happened because odin first flashed the mobile.bin i added in CSC before the firmware file got to it.
So the NG1 firmware update saved my life as it removed residual buginess from the firmware flashing to get out of softbrick.
But at the same time i truelly regret ever upgrading from android 4.3 and do not recommend it due to other issues popping up
and frankly i see no REAL improvements or changes that are worth the trouble.
Best of luck!

[Q] bricked phone please help

Hello, I recently bought a Samsung galaxy s5 off of amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IKFCHGM
And when I opened it it seems to be a Chinese model. The pamphlet it came with was in chinese and the samsung website that was written on in was Samsung.com/HK.
After bootimf it up it booted up in Chinese and had English and a few other languages in the settings but not Hebrew. I live is Israel currently so I need Hebrew on it.
After I saw that I asked around here if its possible to flash any g900f firmware on my g900f (it says its g900f on the box and behind the battery although the model number is written in Chinese for a weird reason). I was told as long as its g900f I can flash any g900f firmware so I downloaded the Israel firmware and tried flashing with with Odin 3.09.
At the end it said failed and my phone stayed in download mode. It became bricked. Whenever i try to boot It now says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again"
Someone mentioned I can flash a pit file and it will fix the problem, can anyone confirm this? If so which regions pit file do I need?
What can I do to fix this problem?
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I'd its even a legitimate samsung and not a clone?

Why are you starting multiple threads about this issue? And for that matter why didn't you provide half of these details when we were replying to your other thread about this?
Odin and other utilities will do real damage to your phone if it is a clone. So has already been explained in your other thread, you need to first determine if you have a clone or not. If and only if your phone is authentic, then you can use Odin to recover.
Odin is well known as temperamental with respect to USB timing, so you need to pay attention to Odin tutorials for a successful write. And yes, you ought to be using a PIT file. And if you have actually soft bricked your phone or incurred any partition damage, must use a PIT file to recover. The PIT file needs to be matched to the firmware image that you are writing which in practical terms means three criteria, model e.g. 900F, ROM size e.g. 16 GB and the carrier.
Do not use Kies, use Odin v 3.09 and you could do worse than search my post history for sound advice as to how to use Odin effectively. If you have any follow up questions or at least ones that you'd like me to address, pose them in your original thread.
Good luck.

[Q] Unknown Baseband / IMEI - no warranty :(

Greetings,
My phone was working fine until a few days ago, when suddenly it starts to show the icon for no service.
I've already tried to reset to factory defaults, and also reflashed the stock rom, after this I found out that my baseband and imei where null (not sure if this was the main reason for not having service, but at least looks like)
What is the correct way of fixing unknown baseband/imei? reflashing the modem?
My phone was bought in south africa last year, and now I'm living in brazil.
Model: (Note3) SM-N900
South Africa - XFE
PDA: N900XXUDND1
CSC: N900OJVDND1
MODEM: N900XXUDND1
Where to download the correct modem firmware? any other ideas/suggestions that I should try?
Thanks
Same problem

As far as I know, my rom should be: South Africa - XFE
When I checked my serial on the website that you linked, I could see Vietnam.
I'm in the very south of brazil, not many android experts around here

- Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser'.
- Select firmware for your device/CSC to download. You can flash full firmware via Odin, or extract and get 2 files: modem.bin + NON-HLOS.bin.
- To flash the modem, make sure to enter download mode by completely switch off the phone, and boot to download mode by hardware key combination. Flash modem.bin first, reboot, then flash NON-HLOS.bin.
Hello vndnguyen,
I've checked my phone info/firmware with Phone Info Samsung app, and it also pointed to the South Africa, XFE rom.
I did uncompressed the tar.md5 file but did not found the file NON-HLOS.bin. I've just found modem.bin file.
Should I proceed flashing just modem.bin with odin? Flashing only modem.bin would give me a chance to restore baseband version information and imei?
In the past days, I've flashed this rom (the complete md5 rom file), would also the modem .bin be applied while stock rom flashing?
Thank you
Today I called Samsung customer service asking for support, I know that since I bought my phone on another country, they would not give warranty, so I was ready to pay for support and have my phone fixed.
Samsung denied any kind of service on my phone, saying that they only support phones bought in brazil.
They also told me that I should look for any other 3rd party support.
I started a complain at 'reclameaqui', but anyway, I'm quite sure that this is going nowhere.
http://www.reclameaqui.com.br/10344...cs/galaxy-note-3-suporte-negado-pela-samsung/
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or things that I should try.
Thank you
Rom 442 pologne... boot download mod CP GNG1 in ap case odin and reboot recovery reset all data. Good luck
Thanks for the advice, but looks that I got lucky....
After registering my complain at "reclameaqui", Samsung changed their position and called me offering an option for repairing my phone.
Tomorrow I will be shipping my phone to their support center.
I will come for an update when the phone comes back.
Thank you
Today I received my phone from Samsung.
They didn't fixed the phone and they also informed me that they where unable to fix it since the required parts for fixing aren't available in Brazil.
So I guess that now I have a big useless phone that can be used only to hold some papers in place.
Any ideas or suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Try and download the XXUBMI2 modem and flash it through Odin. Make sure you have auto restart off and when it's flashed, pull the battery from your phone and reboot back into download mode. Then flash the modem again, this time with auto reboot on. That should make sure it's flashed. Restart your phone and then see if all is working. I've had issues like this before, and it turned out to be modem related, but my phone is the N9005. It's worth a try though

Hello Brownie2k,
I've followed your advice and flashed the modem using Odin (first time removing the battery, and second time with auto reboot), still with imei/baseband unknown .
Also tried to flash the stock rom again (XFE), and repeated the modem flash... same issue
Is XXUBMI2 the correct modem file for my phone? Should I also try the other modems? I've tried to follow the link to samsung firmware checker but the page seens to be broken
Thank you!!

Your imei and baseband is there but doesnt recognize by your rom. Pls download firmware has baseband in it like *****NG1 and flash though ODIN. Your imei and baseband will be back. You can download firmware here
For 9005
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-N9005
And 900
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-N900
i had same issue and flashed different modems and one worked.
for me nothing was working correctly untill i unticked F.reset time and Auto reboot,
i just manually rebooted my phone when odin job was finished.

[Q] SM-G900F - IMEl null/null

Hello friends,
*
i hope it´s okay to start a new thread for my problem. Its a little bit more than only the IMEI Issue. Because of that i think a new thread is helpful to keep it clear.
*
A friend of mine brought me a phone he buyed at ebay. It is in very bad condition.
*
Hardware:
- The Display was changed - noob work in my eyes.
- Device was fully opened
*
Software:
- Android 5.0 was installed
- Reboot every 30sec to 2min.
- IMEI null/null
- *#1234# shows only AP and CSC, but no CP (missing baseband?)
- no factory reset possible. I can choose that in the menu, but then nothing happened. Full wipe via Recovery Menu was possible
- KNOX is okay, 0x0
*
What i did until now:
- I flashed a German 5.0 Stock Rom (DBT, no branding) and PIT File with ODIN- nothing changed.
- I flashed back to 4.4.2 with ODIN - nothing changed
*
due to the fact that there is no EFS Backup File available i know i have a problem. I read a lot the last 3 days but im not sure i understood everything right.
Is there a way to fix the IMEI issue? I read something about a developer EFS File which can be installed?
*
It would be gread to get some help from you all, thx!

XDA is an american site. In USA IMEI change is illegal, hence it is forbidden here on XDA.
There is no free method. What you need is someone who has a repair box like Z3x Team or Spt box. Google it.

Galaxy S5 SM-G900F change HK firmware to UK BTU

Hi,
I purchased a Galaxy s5 (SM-G900f) from an ebay seller which came in a sealed box as described. Unfortunately it arrived with non UK firmware which the seller "forgot" to mention and has since confirmed it to be from HK.
I am pretty sure it is a genuine G900f and not a fake, and would like to know if/how this can be updated to a UK BTU firmware.
Current firmware is
AP : G900FZHU1AND1
CP : G900FZHU1ANCD
CSC : G900FZZH1AND1
Ideally I would prefer to update to android v5 rather than v6 from the current v4.4.2
With this is mind I downloaded G900FXXU1BOI3 as a single tar file.
From reading around a bit, I am unclear whether I need a separate CSC file for changing the modem, or whether any additional checkboxes need to be enabled from the default ones on Odin.
I read somewhere that dialling the following code with your device IMEI number: *#272*IMEI Here# will list available ones to choose from - but will I get the BTU option by flashing the firmware listed above?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Still seeking clarification on whether I need a separate CSC tar.md5 or not.
Also should I keep my UK sim in the phone so that when I delete cache and factory reset, the BTU CSC will be selected?
Thanks
OK - decided to risk it after a bit more searching as wasn't sure when I might get someone able to confirm things.
I used the firmware listed above (single tar file).
Ensured my UK Sim was in the phone
Made sure Odin "Re-Partition” and “Auto Reboot” were not enabled
And ran the update. All worked OK and my CSC is now the correct UK one.
Was expecting to need a “Wipe data/Factory reset” but this didn't prove necessary.
Hope this helps someone else in the future.
Hi guy!
I have the same firmware G900FZHU1AND1
where to get the tar file?
Thanks in advance.
