Screen times out after about 10 seconds - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Just got an LG V20 (T-Mobile version). Phone was fully updated to latest stock firmware and then put into use. I have noticed that when the phone is unlocked, the screen always times out after about 10 seconds. It goes dim after 7 and turns off shortly after, same exact time frame as my Nexus 5X does on the lock screen. I have tried all different time out settings and nothing changes this. Anyone else experience this?

Nexus 7 screen glitching few seconds after booted in.

My screen glitches (think of TV static, but striped and colored similar to the background image) about 5 seconds after booting into android (after the nexus logo loads.
The tablet is fully functional doing the 5 seconds. After that, the screen glitches like above, and I can hear a faint sound from the nexus 7 that grows in pitch until it bursts and the device shuts down. Then, it tried to boot again and this process is repeated.
I don't know what caused this - I haven't used my nexus 7 for few weeks or so, and the last time I used it it was working.
The bootloader is unlocked but it is running stock 4.2.
I have tried booting into recovery mode and wiping data, but that doesn't fix anything.
Anyone know how to fix the issue?

Nexus 4 - Screen unlocking problem

I have my Nexus 4 for about 2 months now, and lately I have noticed a very annoying thing.
Whenever I lock my screen and then trying to quickly unlock it (using the power button), the screen lights up a little bit in a dark blue, stays like that for about 15-20 seconds, and only after that the lock screen shows up, allowing me to unlock the phone. This happens every time I try to unlock it after, let's say, less than 10 seconds after I locked it. If I unlock it after a longer period of sleep, no problem at all.
I have stock Android 4.2.2 and the phone is not rooted.
I have had installed GO Locker, and thought that it might cause the problem, but I uninstalled it. Unfortunately the problem persists.
I also had apps like Screen on / off, GO Switch, that were device administrators to allow them to lock the screen. I have unistalled them all, the same situation.
Can anybody tell me what is the cause and how could I fix this? It's really annoying when I need some quick information and I have to wait 20 second for the screen to unlock.

N7 (2013) screen flicker (video included)

My Nexus 7 (2013) screen flickers usually after it's been on for about 20-30 minutes. At first, it will just flicker once every few seconds, but eventually, it becomes completely unusable. A few months ago, I did a factory reset, and it seemed to go away for a while, which confused me, because I don't really think it's a software issue. However, now the flicker is back with a vengeance, and I'm looking for suggestions as to what might cause this. I'm not afraid to open it up, but I'm not sure what to look for - anyone?

Black screen, however downloadmode works

Hi guys!
I devoted myself a complete evening into fixing my little brothers GS5. 2 weeks ago he told me he was installing an original Samsung update. However after this update his phone would randomly turn off after a few minutes of being on. So I guessed something was wrong with the software. I flashed a stock rom onto the phone, but now it doesn't even boot. I tried multiple stock versions of Android 4x 5x and 6 for the GS5. None of them made the phone boot. Sometimes it showed the Samsung logo, but most often just black screen. I can't boot into recovery either, the same story. I tried twrp, the lights of the buttons were on, but the screen wouldn't turn on. When the phone normally boots with a black screen I sometimes get notifications though. LED flashes sometimes and there's audio.
Anyone having any thoughts how I can fix this? Help is much appreciated!

Screen timeout settings

I've set the time out for my screen to 1 minute but it doesn't stick. I'm not sure how long before it resets to 30 secs but it always does. Is anyone else having this issue?
Nope.

LG G6 Screen timeout glitch
I've had my LG G6 for about 4 days & I can't get the setting to stick for the screen timeout. It insists on timing out after about 15sec.
Some here is there a fix?
I set mine at 30 seconds 3 months ago and never had am issue
Sorry to revive an old thread but I didn't see any type of solution. Just got my G6 and having the same issue as OP even with the Oreo update. Anybody have a tip on how to fix? H872 on T-Mobile.
UPDATE: After much searching, I was able to fix my issue with a full reset and building my phone anew. When I originally set up my phone, I restored from a Google backup from my old phone and there must have been a gremlin of sort that cameover with the restore. And once I upgraded to Oreo, I never reset after upgrade, sort of a cardinal sin with a firmware change. Nevertheless, all is well now with my G6 ThinQ.
