Anyone have tried porting DEX into our Note FE? - Samsung Galaxy Note FE Questions & Answers

Hi FE friends,
As I've ported Note 8 apps into my FE successfully. Now I'm willing more by want to have DEX usable on my FE.
Anybody have a hint for me how can I research about this? (I've rooted, TWRP and tripped my Knox already, anyway, very happy to have Live Message & faster fingerprint reader)
Thanks
Seree

Have you ported the note 8 firmware?

Nope, it's stock rom Note FE. Just port some apps from Note 8 into it.

If someone could port the s8 phone apk from the ee uk version of the s8 would we get wifi calling ?

[Q] Note 3 neo sm-n7505

Hello,
I have a question.
I have my note 3 for a couple of days. It is my first android device. (always used apple)
I Read something about a knox code. That will trip when I root my device.
Is that true, or is there a workaround?
Also, I read somewhere that KitKat was released for the note 3 neo (sm-n7505)
But no ota..
If I install the official rom of KitKat, will that also trip my knox?
I hope someone can help me with this

You don't have an international Note 3 device, you have a Neo variant which has it's own dedicated forums here.

well, currently going thru deodexing it, gives me bunch of errors though...
i believe this one is latest firmware for FE edition, only for Korea...since Samsung start selling Note 7 FE only there..

1)Not a big issue though mate as i said in my post already that it could be mistakenly
2)Yes its true we haven't got any new updates or news from dr.ketan from last few weeks But i don't think he will stop development (Especially For Note Series) as per his great contributions and love towards Note Series
3)By the way thank you so much for the thread which opened another wing of possibilities for future note 5 development
Same features as S8 nothing news
no new ROM for note 5 . bad news!
I don't want to change it
I'm waiting for note 8 ...

Its not a rom, its firmware.
Firmware would need to be made into a rom and then heavily modified to work on any device it wasnt designed for.
Which is why its posted here.....the base to work with to port to the note 5...same would apply to the note 7.
And why are you asking about if it works on the note 7 when this is a note 5 forum?
Some of you people are so confused

Let me know the outcome boss....i will try too
anyone can upload the note FE splash boot screen ?
I have a SM-N930L that you can reasonably assume has identical hardware to the SM-N935L, except the battery. I'm tempted to put the stock rom on there. Maybe once I get my Note 8.

Devices with a 7 at the end are usually carrier branded and often have locked bootloaders so not rootable.
However there is a roundabout way to achieve root depending how much you need it?
Is it possible to root this device ? or impossible ??

Should I switch from my A40 to a Note 4?

My A40 has been crap recently (can't install ROMS etc.) And the newest note phone that has a simple bootloader is the Note 4 I have a Note 3 and the experience is great on it. So should I get a Note 4?

It's a good phone but:
as there are many posts about emmc failure of these devices I wouldn't have bought it knowing that in advance.
You never know when it happens and have no chance to avoid it.
If you can get it cheap, it might still be worth it as some guys offer repairing/resoldering it.
Don't take N910V Verizon, as these are very hard to flash TWRP/custom ROM onto it.
N910C with Exynos CPU are said to be faster than N910F Snapdragon but not that well supported with custom ROMs.

[Q] Update Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM G-531H)

Hello,
I am new in this community. I have a Samsung grand prime sm-g531h. I recently rooted the device successfully. Now I wanted to know that is it possible to upgrade my android version to 9 or 8? How will I do that? Is there any problem if I do so?
I don't have experience in this matter. Please help me!

Looks like you've already been on a quest for compatible ROMs by posting "works on SM G531H?" in several threads last year (try to avoid multi-posting). No luck so far? Judging by the very limited search I've done it doesn't look very good for your device, does it? I've also noticed that this device still has a button on the chin! Maybe it's time for a chinbuttonless upgrade? Not discouraging the quest for upgrading old devices though! Definitely applauding that but sometimes it's just a dead end. I hope someone else can provide better news.
