Elephone s7 fingerprint sensor not working (Help a girl out) - Elephone S7 Questions & Answers

I've been using this phone for awhile and all of a sudden the fingerprint sensor stopped working. The button works to press down but its the sensor that's not working at all. That and if your on a page and want to hit back with the sensor it wont work at all. I've tried cleaning it out with an alcohol pad and I used a can of compressed air. It was working fine all day today until like 20min ago it just stopped working. It wont even detect anything if you want to make a new fingerprint sensor. Help! I would really appreciate it.

The same thing happened to me in a random manner. First I activated the onscreen nav buttons, but after a while I got tired of a non functional phone and tried soft and hard resetting. Nothing worked.
Eventually I opened a ticket (got the device through gearbest) and shipped it back.
The entire thing took 1 month, but I got a new phone back (old one had a cracked display)
Afaik there is no solution except for returning it.

qtek S200 ( prophet )sudden death

Hi All,
My S200 died today ( I think )
What happened: I was playing a song in WMP when suddenly it freezed
then the screen became white and the device shut down itself.
Untill now I wasn't able to get it on again. Soft reset, power button
it didn't work, took the battery out for 30 minutes didn't work. It is now in de charger for more than an hour and still no orange led that light up.
I have to say that the device resetted itself the last 2 days quite often.
Same thing, lock up, white screen but then it booted again and kept working for a while. Damn Damn Damn what happened to my S200 ?
Someone has some tips / things I can try ?
Best Regards,
Philippe
Hoi,
Leuk, ook iemand van pocketpc forum haha.
Try eens een hardreset?
greets
I tried already a hard-reset and stuff
can't even get into bootloader mode...
heb hard-reset enzo al geprobeerd
en geraak ook niet in de bootloader mode echt rottig...
Wierd. Same thing just happened to me while playing an MP3 file - white screen, lock-up. Now my S200 is powered off and even refuses to hard-reset.
Did you have any luck with resolving this?
Same problem here. It just died today. At first pressing the power button would try to start it up, then go black at the windows screen, then it started going black at the qtek screen now it won't do anything. No soft reset, no hard reset. At one point I got a white screen that faded to black.
same problem
Did you ever get a solution for this problem?
Mine does the same. No orange light. Can't startup, stays black. Red light comes on couple of seconds

[Video][Gyro + Accelerometer] Problems

Hi i have still a problem with my nexus 4. Before i installed the Android 4.2.2 i had a problem that my screen wont go to landscape. I just installed Android 4.2.2 stock and now it go's to landscape but wont go back?! I have made a video where you can see the problem.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRPhAA_Hiog
Does anyone know how i can fix this? My back glass is broken, i think that should not have caused the problem?
Download Android Sensor Box and try Orientation and Gyroscope sensor. Tell us if it's working.

Thanks for you reply. When i do the accelerometer test the steel ball falls down and wont come off, when i turn my phone upside down it falls to other side. When i use the orientation sensor the bottom 2 bubbles float on top.
It looks like i have to calibrate the sensor but cant find the options in 4.2.2.
After searching a bit on Google, here's what I found:
- Shutdown your phone, put it on a desk or stable surface. Turn it on and don't move it until you at least get to the lock screen.
If it's not working, you could try a factory reset but you shouldn't do it until someone confirm.
But it seems that it's hardware related, so well I don't know very well the subject.
Not sure as I never had a problem like this. Hope this will work

Thanks for your reply! It works a little bit better now! It's a little bit more difficult to get the phone in landscape now. But i goes back now! Haha strange behaviour of my phone. Where did you find this "fix"?
edit: I already tried a factory reset.
Glad that it worked!
I found it on several threads:

In the second link there is another advice that seemed to work. You could try it

Shut down your phone:
Hold volume up + volume down + power (5 - 10 sec) ...repeat this to be sure that the phone is turned off
Afterwards, turn the phone on. If this does not work, the problem has to be severe I suppose.

It happened to me, screen suddenly turned black after showing purple streaks across the screen. Heard similar cases from others with the S7 Edge. Phone still rang when called, notification lights and capacitive buttons still lit up. I took it to a local service center, they diagnosed the problem as a "display fault" (they tapped on the screen a few times, don't know how reliable of a diagnosis that is). Since I bought it less than a week ago, it was eligible for a replacement. So the guys at the place gave me two options: I could get a new phone or they could fix the screen for me (free if you have the little gold card). Didn't want to waste the warranty so I got a replacement.
See if you can get a replacement, don't get it fixed, not worth your warranty (if you just bought it). New device is all good and well, no screen issues so far. Good luck.
Also perform a quick factory reset. Go into the recovery mode through vol. up + home + power (or something; can't really remember) and feel around the menu and factory reset, even if you can't see the screen. That is if you are really paranoid about your data.

Totally different thing. That's just download mode which alone will do nothing.
Please try the volume up and down method and report back.

I have the same problem. On Saturday morning I wake up, unplug my charger, open a game..... Everything seem normal. But after I start playing the game for a few second my phone blackout and shut off. At first I think it maybe a infamous black screen of death but the thing is... It doesn't seem to be the same case because after that I force a reboot the bootlogo came up normally for a few seconds then it start to flicker and show a messed up multicolor noisy screen(only once) then it go back to flickering at boot screen then stop flickering at the lock screen a few seconds then start flickering again then dies. I force reboot the phone for a few time until the screen show no output at all(black screen) but somehow the phone manage to boot up and stay on. The touchscreen still work! I can enter my pin. I can open camera and blindly take a photo by touching the screen. The phone still ring when there are incoming call and I can blindly accept the call by swipe the screen.
In conclusion everything else work fine except the screen output.
I took the phone to samsung service center and they diagnose it as the dead screen and will replace the screen under warranty but I need to wait for the part for 1-2 days
The thing is I'm not totally convinced that the screen is dead. what I mean is that when the screen stop flicker the screen color and image looked fine and the multicolor noisy screen at bootup look similar to when my S4 gpu crash when I undervolt it too much. Also the touchscreen is still working! So I think it might be that the gpu is the one that is dying but these might not be true, it's just my hypothesis.
Now I will just wait and see whether screen replacement solve the problem.
I hope it's not the design/engineering flaw though or else it might just dies again in the near future.

Fingerprint reader stopped working

I have been very happy with my Mi A1 but now the fingerprint reader has stopped working. Not sure why.
When I try to enroll my fingerprints, I get the following:
In Security and Settings, I click om Fingerprint
I get the 'Unlock with fingerprint' screen, I click NEXT
I get the 'Unlock section' screen. I have tried all of them but it does not matter. But let's click on PIN
I get the 'Secure start-up'' screen. I can click on YES or NO - does nto seem to matter. But let's click on NO.
I am asked to choose my PIN. I do so, twice.
I get the 'Notifications' screen. I choose show all notofcations and hit DONE
I get the 'Find the sensore' screen. I hit NEXT
I get the 'Let's Start' screen.
This is where it goes wrong. I put my finger on the sensor and I never get the vibration feedback so it seems like the sensor is disabled?
When I first got the phone - this worked fine.
Any ideas on how to check the sensor status or how to fix this? Thanks!
Dave
