This zip is just the system folder. The boot.img won't be accessible without root.

No, you run the exe file on your Windows PC with the phone connected via USB cable. This will return the phone to full stock and wipe out root if you have it.
Is that what you really intend to do?

it's not that easy, you need to convert the system.sin to system.img using sin2img, and than you can unpack the system.img using system.img using unyaffs.

Download it and keep it for backup, if you mess up some files.
It's just extracted system partition.
@OP: you did it with system.sin from ftf or you extracted system.img from nandroid backup?
If first, can you upload sin2img and unyaffs which works with arc s system.sin.

FauxClock Problem

Hey all--just wondering why I can't seem to delete the com.teamkang.fauxclock folder from mnt/shell/emulated directory.
I've moved on to a new ROM & I'm trying out a new kernel; no longer have fauxclock app installed. Don't see why I can't remove it now. Any help?

Haha--my thoughts exactly. I've always used CWM since Gingerbread, so I'm wondering if there's any other way?
Okay so I got over myself and flashed TWRP. Now I'm looking at the file manager and I can't find the mnt directory anywhere, so I still can't get rid of the fauxclock folder from mnt/shell/emulated.
Any help?

Hi mate...
For some reason I can't open all files.
For example - can't open bootanimation.zip?!
If it's only one it'll be O.K but I'm afraid it could be that many files (in app folder) are corrupted...

This is the guide that got me started. For flashing I have always used Method 2. Using the flash-all.bat script in Method 1 seems to fail a lot of the time.

Flash the individual img files in fastboot, enable oem unlock in developer options and then unlock the bootloader before the flash.
There are also changes in the system.img, recovery.img, and boot.img files - file sizes are larger then MMB29X.. Flashing now..

extract all images and flash every images separately using fastboot commands.
Does anyone who flashed this noticed if there was an improvement in the radio performance?
I'm not sure if it is placebo or not, but in the region that I live is unstable to get signal from my carrier, but after flashing this new build today seems more stable than before, because I didn't lose signal since I booted the phone after the update.
I felt that on N preview too when I tested, but I didn't keep it because of other bugs.
