New Xtrons PA97MTVPL for SEAT Altea not fitting - Android Head-Units

Hi all
Has anyone fit the Xtrons PA97MTVPL yet? I just received one and it won't fit in my 2010 Altea. On the product description the Altea is mentioned as compatible for the years 2004 to 2015. They do warn that you should check the console to be sure it'll fit because they can't guarantee it will fit, but I checked what I could see and the dimensions all match. In fact the facia panel I have is a lovely fit!!
It's the stupid lower left and right corners. For some reason Xtrons have made these square on this model while other compatible models (such as the PCD8AMTVA or the PA87MTVP which I think is its sister model but with DVD) have rounded corners!!
The RCD310 that I've removed also has rounded lower corners. So what gives with the square corners?!
I'm mostly annoyed because I decided to wire it all up and test it before finally mounting it. Apart from not being able to find a way to get the DAB aerial cable fed behind the dash (I suspect I will need to get someone to do that for me) everything was working perfectly! My FM reception was easily as good as the RCD310, the GPS was picking up strong signals, the sound (for the money) is really, really good, with a DAB aerial taped to the windscreen I was able to pick up all the channels I wanted with full signal strength!! I even had the device switching off when I removed the key!! And not only that it remembered what was running when I switched the ignition on and boot up within seconds!!
It was all going so well!! Why, oh, why did Xtrons make the bottom corners square? Will these actually fit other SEAT models? Is it only my version of the Altea that it won't fit? The corners are exactly where the fascia clips are so I can't even trim the plastic!!
It will have to go back, which is a shame as my initial impression is that it is a really nice piece of kit that actually behaves as it should!
I just wondered if anyone else has had a similar installation problem with this or any other head units? So much for being Custom Fit!!!

Maybe you have the unit for the facelift dashboard? I know this does exist on a Leon, so maybe also on an altea?

You could be right, but that's not obvious on their website or their ads as it states that it is compatible with the Altea models from 2004 to 2015 and I'm fairly sure the 2004 model probably didn't have the facelift. But maybe I'm wrong. It does have the extra L on the end of its model number, but there is no explanation anywhere on the website as to what that actually means.
I've never had my RCD310 out before today so had no idea that the mounting could be different. We live and learn. Hopefully this will not be a costly lesson!! I've been in touch with the supplier so just waiting to hear from them with my fingers crossed!
It's a real shame as I am very impressed with the unit otherwise. I'll try and swap it with the PA87MTVP which should fit albeit with a smaller screen.

Just for information's sake I thought I'd let you know I have managed to fit the Xtrons unit into my Altea. I did have to do some minor modifications to the plastic, but nothing that can be seen once the fascia is back in place.
Suffice it to say that, so far, I love this unit! It is everything I hoped it would be and more and after a couple of days driving with it I would definitely recommend it! Hopefully I'll still feel the same in a few months time!!

where did you order it from and for what price?

I bought it from Audio Visual Tech on eBay for £199.99. Delivery was quick. I had to contact the seller a couple of times initially to enquire about availability, as it was out of stock when I ordered, and they were always quick to respond and polite and helpful. The unit came back into stock sooner than they originally thought and was sent straight out.

Hi,
I’ve recently fitted one of these to my 2007 Passat and I have to say I’m disappointed!
WiFi range is horrendous
Steering wheel controls only work on certain apps
It won’t recognise my IPhone as an iPod so I cannot Control it from m the HU
Screen is way too bright at night at lowest setting (dangerously so)
Spotify app keeps dumping downloaded playlists
Dab+ app is awful with no way to save favourite stations
I’m seriously considering selling it on (at a huge loss no doubt) & forking our for a Kenwood / Pioneer with CarPlay!

Hey, no not really as I’ve not really been looking. I would guess they are all very similar though hence my probable decision to go with a big named brand with CarPlay installed!

Poor Quality Tilt Car Cradle Review

Review of AT&T Tilt GPS Car Mount form JustPal at justpal.com purchased on eBay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...rksid=p284.m183&_trkparms=its=S%2BI%2BSS%2BSD
This is not directed at JustPal other than their typical shipping policy. They do have a generally good record. I did get the same item that was advertised on eBay at other retailers for 10-20 dollars more than their price of 35.99. Other retailers use the same picture so I would imagine it is the same unit. The shipping was $10.95 (now it is $12.65) which was lower than most also. Also their shipping was fast.
Their return policy is similar to others on eBay which is they don't credit shipping so I would have to pay return shipping and new shipping (which has now gone up)and thus the cost is prohibitive to exchange it. Plus I destroyed the packaging opening the item and that would void the return. It would be cheaper to just buy another and have it sent immediately and not have to wait for them to examine the package and perhaps tell me I am not eligible for an exchange. I would be out the return shipping and still pay new (higher) shipping.
My quandary is this: should I chance another one as this may be a fluke of a defect or it may be a trend. Or should I wait for one that is probably twice as much and purchase it from someone with a better shipping and return policy along with hopefully better quality. Perhaps someone else will take the chance on one and it will be ok.
Here are my issues with the Cradle:
1. At first I didn't even think it was going to match up with the USB on the bottom of the Tilt and I was a bit reticent to force it as that is a weak link. I wiggled it quite a bit but it finally slide on with a fair amount of pressure. I had the thought that perhaps the stylus was causing it to be offset a bit so I removed it and it did go on easier but still requires some fiddling with it. It may loosen up a bit in the future with some use but the fit of the cradle is fairly tight which is a good thing. The unit has a label that states CM-A8925 which would indicate that someone thinks it will fit but they must have not tried it.
2. I didn't plan on using he suction cup mount so I didn't try it as I wanted to use the vent mounts because I travel and rent cars frequently. Unfortunately they do not fit very secure in my Toyota Matrix. Others with more and flatter louvers may be better.
3. Now for the REAL PROBLEM; when I first plugged it in there was a noticeable buzz in the speaker. It seemed to change as I opened and closed items and then when I started up TeleNav, which has an icon that resembles a spinning propeller, the speaker "popped" each time the propeller fin rotated. It would appear that there is some type of shielding needed between the speaker and the Tilt. VERY Annoying!!!
4. Well, annoying that was while the speaker lasted!! I unplugged and re-plugged the "hands free" wire (a short wire with a microphone that plugs into the upper unit and the speaker) a couple of times and the speaker quit working altogether. Now I have gone being from annoyed to completely disgruntled. After inspecting the unit it was found that the upper connection was loose and wiggled with the connector plugged in. If I did hold the connection in tight, it would again cause the speaker to work, albeit with the same annoying fizzing and popping. Finally it quit altogether.
5. A "tab" which is used to glue the front and back together on the side with the defective connector is not as smoothly mated with the side piece as the one on the other side.
6. A small clip on the vent mount that is meant to "snug" it up fell off inside the vent and now rattles while I drive.
7. The mount which connects to the base unit and either the vent bracket or the suction cup was very difficult to get on and once on damn near impossible to get off.
That is about it. I guess I don't need to say I would not recommend this to anyone. A $46.46 lesson which I can't say was worth the money just to publish this review. I really expected at least something functional. Oh well, I have a speaker (poor that it is) and a USB connector to play with and see what I can do with them.
Hope this helps others.
what i did to get it to work
Hello i to bought 1 of those mounts not from them but somebody else on ebay. I wanted to use the mounts for the vent too, so when i got it i took it out of the box it looked good so out to the car i went while going down the steps to get outside i heard something hit the floor and it was that little mounting thing that supposed to keep it tight on the vent .. So now at closer look they will not work so i decided to use the suction mount which i think works great , now on to hou i got my tilt to fit the case mine also would noy slide into the usb mount it took me awhile to get it in .... and i was think wow this is not good going to break my phone right off ..
So i took it into my shop and got a dremel tool out and went to work on the inside off the mount on the sides i kept taking a little of both sides untill it slide in easy and perfect now it fits great and i think it will not harm the usb deal.
On to the speaker mine also makes all kinds of noise but it deos work great with tomtom and navmaps if you mess with the wire and get it just perfect the noise will go away i can live with a little noise also when my phone is by my computer at home the noise also comes through my speaker ...
just thought i would add my 2 cents worth if i new what i know now i would of not bought this mount but i did get it to fit perfect after a hour or so with the dremel tool
Al

Thanks for the tips. If I can get the speaker to work again I will try the shaving trick. I don't think I will try another one of these but wait on someone to try some other vendors.
i bought the oncourse 3 mount for the tilt from buygps.com and it has a FM transmitter built in. I comes with only the suction mount.
It works as advertised. I used this last weekend while driving and found that over all it is a nice product. I was like $40 inluding shipping or something. I like the FM trnasmitter BC i can now listen to my podcasts on my radio rather than using headphones or such.
it definately isnt perfect but it does work.
my 2cents.

it got it on sale last week.
Hmmmm ... so it arrived broken? Irregardless of what their return policy is, I'm pretty sure they have to replace it or offer a solution unless it is listed as "as-is". I'd check Ebay/PayPal on that. You shouldn't be out the funds to replace an item that was broken to begin with.
I ordered one of these too. How is the charger? I heard the brodit ones fry the device. Does the speaker interfere with bluetooth handsfree?
Hmmm
Had exactly the same problems with a very similar sounding mount. It was very difficult to get it to mate up (too difficult to use regularly), it screamed when I did get it in, then the device went into a soft reset loop like something was permanently pressing in the reset recess.
I shall be returning mine for a refund and I'll wait until they get a new / better batch.
Hmmm.
Just got mine and I have the same problem with the connector not aligned. I think I will swap it for the one with the FM transmitter. I don't need the FM since I have a bluetooth stereo but I can use it in other cars.
New Item I found
well even tho i got mine other 1 to work with the dremel tool i think i will get this 1 instead..

I too, bought this same unit. I really like mine. I've had no problems with it.
The only thing that dissapointed me, was that the quality of the sound from the FM broadcast from the unit. It's definately strong and clear, but it sounds muddy. It's not great for music. It works just fine for GPS though.
I use it with TeleNav and I have no issues with it. It's a good, solid unit.
I've not tried connecting the audio via a cable yet, however. I don't have a stereo in my car that accepts input that way. I plan on upgrading though.

I had also considered tht one until I read this:
Hi Nick,
We’re sorry for the confusion. The G4700x car kit for PPC6800 is only compatible to use with the HTC mogul with Sprint and will not compatible to use with Tytn II, Kaiser or Tilt. We’re still working on the Kaiser car kit, but at this we do not have an ETA.
Thank You for contacting Seidio
Kelvin Chung

Seidio, Inc.
And I got this response back from Seidio asking to put on a list for when the TILT car kit comes out:
Dear Jim,
Thank you for your inquiry at Seidioonline. We will be happy to assist you with your concern. The car mount will not be coming out any time soon. We do not have a list for those requesting this mount; therefore, the best way to be updated is checking our site www.seidioonline.com
So, I guess we are back to trying various ones that "claim" to work until we find one that does work.
On a side note, one of those sites had this:
*Notice to Drivers in California and Minnesota:
State law prohibits drivers in California and Minnesota from using suction mounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. We recommend the use of Arkon AP020 90mm Circular Disc w/ 3M Adhesive [SKU 961] to transform any windshield mount into a console mount. Easy PocketNAV, Inc does not take any responsibility for any fines, penalties, or damages that may be incurred as a result of disregarding this notice. (See California Vehicle Code Section 26708(a); Minnesota Statutes 2005, Section 169.71)
I'm in California, but I think I'd still roll with one of those suction cup ones with the FM transmitter... looks like a quality product.
Ticketz be damned.
Very Good Mount Found on E-Bay
This is my first post, I usually read and try to soak in as much information as I can. I was reading this post and had to contribute;
I recently purchased a mount from GPSLot, an E-Bay store, I opted for the "Buy it Now" at $10.00 + $5.00 shipping I figured I couldn't go wrong. I also purchased a mini USB and 3.5mm Stereo Audio Adapter, which allows you to charge your Tilt II and you have the stereo jack (my Nissan Titan has an input jack in the dash). I received both items in 4 days at $22.00 shipped!
I am very happy with the mount. My truck has a very long dash, so I put the mount on the dash because my windshield is just too far away. It is has 2 different axis' to adjust and the cradle rotates letting you turn your Tilt II on either side or leave it straight up. The phone is held in place by a spring loaded catch that tilts back to let it slide right in. I was afraid it was going to be one of those stiff plastic cradles that put alot of pressure on your device as it is being installed or removed, but that isn't the case.
My wife has a Tom-tom One, and I have a Mio Digiwalker c220, so I have something to compare this mount to. I like the way this one sits and the adjustments much better than either of the actual GPS mounts.
You can browse the store and see what you think,

I don't know how long this following link will be good but have a try,

[Q] Android car headunit app?

I know car pc's have software so you could just put a screen up front and it displays a fully customizable headunit on the screen. Just wondering if anything like that has ever been made or discussed for Android?
With how powerful these tablets are getting, don't see why something like that wouldn't work. Use a tablet as a headunit/car-pc, I'd like that!

This kinda what I'm talking about. This is the whole indash unit. I'm just talkin the software that runs it. Why couldn't it be packaged into an app.

Sent from my Rogue'd-Xoom using XDA Premium App
It could. You could also just put a bunch of widgets on your screen with a nice wallpaper and get a similar effect. You just need a way of mounting the Xoom...shouldn't be *too* hard to make something that looks decent. If you have steering wheel controls then you don't have to worry about blocking your factory stereo, should you decide to leave it in.
Man, i can see it now, the window replacement indutry would thrive with an Android-powered-indash-tablet-multimedia/gps/wifi-hotspot unit stereo. I would be the first to buy one. Think it up, it can happen.
Hell if a two-bit company can take psp-fat and throw in froyo, then why not an ice-cream sandwich indash.
Guess there just isn't much interest for something like this around here.

You have some problems with good connections plus the size of 10 inch tab is a bit odd.. Firstly, you would need a 7 inch tab, then you would need a custom build with fiberglass outer shell to hold ya tab in place not forgetting the port for headphone jack needs to be easily accessible.. You would need atleast 2 amps one for speakers and 1 for subs as the headphone port would not drive 4 speakers etc.. You need a headphone splitter.. Then a headphone to rca splitter.. Would also need to wire ya amps to the battery as there is no remote wire and attach this to a couple of switces to turn the amps off.. Now what to do with fm radio as you have taken the headphine port already...
As you can see this becomes a hassle
Easier way would be to get a headunit and mount that in your glovebox.. Then mount ya tablet into wjere the headunit. Should be then import the tab into the headunit in the glovebox.. So costs are down, functionality is there as tab has gps, etc and internet from phone tether if not a 3g device and it looks like u have a tab as your main unit lol

I like my idea. As long as you have steering wheel controls, you can put the Xoom right in front of your head unit. I have a Mazda 3 with a gigantic head unit, I've held the Xoom in place over top trying to think of ways to mount it, but space is not an issue. My Thunderbolt dock is right above it, so it's in a good spot for WiFi tethering. I might actually have to build a mount someday...in my wife's Pathfinder I can mount the HDMI dock right in the middle of the dash, but I wouldn't trust it to hold the Xoom in place, I would need some kind of lock. It blocks the windshield a tad, but it looks awesome!

A basic headunit is needed for supplying signal to the amplifiers. I guess I'm just interested in someone making an app of sorts to simulate a headunit. The mount I can make something like what these guys made.

You dont necessarily need a headunit as i explained in my post it can be done... The output from a headunit to a amp is very similar to stereo headphone output.. You would need good quality amps to adjust frequency and other aspects to get decent sound.. Possibly a signal noise remover as well but i digress as i actually agree with you as yes i would always go a hidden head unit save a ton of time and frustration and i could do more of it myself meaning less money... I was going to do this in my ute but i ended up grabbing a chinese 7 inch display that slotted straight in for $300.. Has good functionality but doesnt look as mint as a tablet injection lol... Purchasing a newer car soon so all my good plans have been shelved for a couple years in place of cheap ideas that will get me by until i have enough cash for a better ride..
I would suggest tho knocking up a mounting piece for a tablet with thin chipboard very thin for the front edge and thicker around sides etc to hold the tab.. Then applying a small amount of fibreglass over it then sand and paint the piece the same colour as your dash.. It will be easier to manage and the resulting colour application will look closer to the plastic around the rest of the dash... And i would probably use a 7inch tab for a easier fit but thats just my personal opinion... You could have a go at making a theme for the picture you displayed with photoshop.. Would be hard and take to modifying an apk probably as well

it states 12v,
i have been working on using my 7" huawei mediapad as my main headunit now for a while... and i think i almost have it all sorted out
i will be removing my current headunit and using only the tablet.
i have 2 amps already (one for speakes, one for sub) and as for switching the amps on, this is not a problem, i will be using a acc switched power source.
as for converting 3.5mm out to rca i will be using what is called a ReQ5 unit (sorry cant link im too new)
i am planning on mounting this and the tablet behind the dash in my nissan s14 as to have a kind of factory look about it, and not have to modify the dash to much
i will keep you up to date on my progress
I have actually taken apart a tablet (the power supply got fried). The best way I see is just using android as the user interface and then sending the sole audio signal out which is what I suspect regular head units without amplifiers do. All the android head unit needs to be is compadible to the standard wiring harness, im not expecting a loud system, just something that sounds good and is versatile, I even pondered making a shell and putting the tablet components into is and then making a dock in which the tablet just slides right into it. Of course this is just a conceptual idea but with enough resources I dont doubt it could be done.

GMT900 HU options?

Hello, people!
Decided to write a few questions here as I am looking for a new HU for my GMC Yukon '07. I see that there are a couple of units on aliexpress that have quad-core and 5.1.1. But what I am looking for is a bigger screen. The original is 7", but some of the aftermarket manufacturers (such as Alpine) have been selling the 8"/9" models especially built for the GMT900. Unfortunately the prices for those are quite high and after trying the 8" unit I found out that it was waaaaay too slow for me.
So I am looking into buying a bigger unit and have no problem with rebuilding the front panel of the dash. I am, however, not sure about the can-bus and such, is it all the same for these units or are they built specifically to fit certain types of cars? I'm also a big fan of turning the buttons, not holding or pressing them diablo-style. So something like Erisin ES3015V for VW with 8" looks good, but how universal is this unit? I also see that InDashNet have one for the Yukon, but screensizes are from 7" to 10.1"? I get really frustrated when I see all the different types of resellers and unit manufacturers, and with no knowledge whats-o-ever I really don't know what to look for Show me some directions guys, please

Looking to upgrade.. What Android HU is everyone buying now?

So I'm looking to upgrade from a Pumpkin Head Unit RK3066 that I've had for a couple years now running Malysk rom but performance seems to be getting worse as time goes by. Problem is that I'm not sure what current unit to buy. I want the best specs available right now and I need to be able to root. I have a 2015 Toyota Camry. Would be great to find an HU that is a direct fit for my car but any universal unit would be fine also.
I found this on Amazon for $300 ... Joying JY-UL135N2 https://www.amazon.com/JOYING-Android-Stereo-Navigation-Bluetooth/dp/B01M670UWI
Can anyone recommend any other Android HU's that they are liking and post links to where they bought them?

I have the jy-ul135n2 and I'm quite happy with it, and there seems to be a fairly large user base so little tweaks here and there should be more common than other units. The only thing I don't like about it hardware wise is the recessed screen. So, if you don't absolutely have to have the physical buttons around the screen I'd get the version with touch sensitive buttons that are flush with the screen.

KLD oreo 8 core 4gb ram 32gb rom just received very poor quality control

Hi all,
long time reader first time writer. I just got my KLD unit in the mail. I am very familiar with rooting android and have done many projects over the years with them. I'm an old guy that has been around since the beginning of PCs before they were available for individuals and only used in banking etc. I thought it would be a great idea to install a new HU in the car, I purchased a month ago, since it's stereo is okay but has limited capability. So I took the plunge and ordered a KLD unit with a blue tooth dbd II dongle and the Parrot Blue Tooth Module FT6000T. I ordered this unit because it is a new car and is made for my model. I like things looking factory. So far I have installed a backup camera, a DVR and other miscellaneous devices in the car. I though this would be a great addition since I have installed car radios, custom electronic devices, etc. since I was a kid. However; upon opening the box I was in for quite a surprise. I won't even attempt to install this unit as it is a pile of junk. The Power/Volume and Tune knobs are not even centered. The rear radio antenna input is off center I don't think it will even plug in without disassembling the unit. Maybe even require re-soldering the plug? I don't know as I'm not willing to take it apart as I am disgusted with the obvious problems with quality control. Finally, it's getting boxed up and sent back. I am taking the time to write all this as this board has helped me many times in the past, and I owe it to the community here. There are so many knowledgeable folks here I learn new stuff everyday. Thank you all! Sorry I didn't get to power it up and see how it works, but if the way it was assembled is any clue, I'm sure it has all kinds of problems that I don't want to deal with. I did a lot of research here before purchasing and thought the problems would be worth all the nice features; WRONG. So buyer beware!

Hi all,
long time reader first time writer. I ordered this unit because it is a new car and is made for my model. hello, I've been using it for three months on Hyundai Tucson 2016, everything works fine, and the second android, the first px5 2gb was a disaster, you could not make a decent call, I do not open the unit to see inside, I have at 10.1 inc and I am satisfied.
@OP, fancy taking a few photos. I've not heard of KLD, but according to the Hui Fei, it's Klyde? Again, not a brand I'm familiar with. The main players are Xtrons, Eonon, Joying, Pumpkin and the pricier Dynavin and to a lesser extent Erisin. There's a few lesser known brands, but obviously you start to fall into the murky world of unbranded stuff at that point.
I was able to find this Alibaba link: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/klyde-2-din-7-inch-head_60387926850.html
Which I must admit, doesn't inspire confidence. That front is utterly hideous with the chrome knobs. However, I suspect the rest of it is okay. Some photos would be good though to backup your remarks
sorry about the confusion
Hi Skezza and Conan, sorry for the confusion. I was a little pissy about the quality control when I wrote my review as I had just received the head unit. I am not able to post photos yet. Maybe because I'm a newbie? Maybe because this is the first time I've posted on a forum and don't know what I'm doing? Skezza you are correct it is a KLYDE unit from China. I bought it directly from the manufacture. It was literally built three days, at KLYDE before shipping, according to the chasse tag. My understanding is KLYDE sells to other companies that rebrand them. This was made vehicle specific. I am guessing that is why it was made three days before shipping? I decided to keep the unit. I was being a little too picky - I think about the flaws. I straightened out the antenna input with a wooden dowel. My son said the two knobs were not that far off center in the front. He knows I am a perfectionist. He is a computer engineer and tells me I obsess too much about imperfections with electronics. He should know as that's what he does day in and day out. So I agreed with him and installed the unit. I was disappointed with the external mic. In theory the mic plugs into an input. No way that was happening as they aren't even close to the same size. I have a couple of adapters laying around, but no dice. Very odd size on the head unit. Overall, so far, I have been impressed with it's features. Cold boots in about 10 seconds or so maybe faster. Love the flexibility of what it will do. I like the two micro SD slots. I don't know how many gigs they will support but so far no problems with a 32 gig card. The other slot is marked GPS which is good if a decent ROM comes out. I made a phone call, via Bluetooth and my wife said it was clear. I used the mic mounted in the head unit as I gave up on the external mic. The only things I am really disappointed about are the following: The mic button on the swc does not activate the mic. I am sure I'll find a solution. Mapping it so far is a no go. The factory car usb/ipod connector, the factory car AUX, and the factory mic don't work. The unit comes with two usb outputs. I may get brave and flush mount these somewhere in the interior, but I'm hesitant since it's a new car. IMHO the factory usb/ipod, aux, and mic should work as this is supposed to be plug and play according to KLYDE. Other than that I love this head unit. I did contact the seller and told him the problems with it. He was very polite and offered to let me send it back. However, by this time I had already installed it, and the minor flaws didn't affect the overall performance. I do have a photo of the unit installed. I will keep trying to post a photo. Skezza it looks bad when it's not installed. The facia you are seeing probably has the tabs for mounting and groves for the vehicle's trim. It looks factory. The chrome knobs are a little cheezy but there aren't many choices out there for a factory look. Everyone, so far, doesn't realize it's after market. When my wife isn't looking I may order an amp and after market speakers. Maybe even a sub woofer. The unit supports them so sounds like a fun project. German oompha music sounds great cranked up!

Sounds like a more positive resolution then. Photos would be great. I don't know exactly how Klyde work. I would suspect most of these companies order from the same factory, and then put their software and skins on etc. I've found the external mics don't provide a whole lot of extra benefit.
I also purchased a Klyde Android Headunit. I did not go directly to the manufacturer, only found out it was a Klyde unit after I got it installed and viewed the system info. Mine was the PX3 2GB model.
In my case I was satisfied with the build quality but I had a ton of issues from AUX not working, terrible android experience with the stock rom, apps missing or failing, Wifi disconnects, Bluetooth problems w/ OBD2 and Google play problems.
In less than 24 hours I devoured XDA topics on PX3's, rooting these units and rom options. I chose to go with the Hal9k ROM. All I have to say is I love the unit now, every issue I had was fixed with the rom, everything works as expected and I am very happy.
Summary: Klyde's stock setup sucks, get a rom on there and root it ASAP.

Seems to be a common theme the stock ROM's sucking balls lol.
Klyde and Erisin use the ****tiest mainboards you can imagine, thats their nr1 problem. Nr2 is the quality control. And the problem extends even further because Joying, Pumpkin and Eonon with PX cpus are all Klyde units.
We have been trough many klyde units wher i work, and while they fixed alot of issues with their 7.1 and onwards units, Their 5.1 MTCC was just pure garbage. we still get about 30% defective units back from customers. its insane.
Sadly not much help to you OP, but atleast it might be a warning for others.
Oh yeah their dual UI with windows isnt exactly the best ui on the planet. luckily we have Hal9k
