ROM is already there. You can see if it works, what works and how it works.

p.s.
The "Status 7 Error with CWM or TWRP Recovery on Rooted Android!" guide does not help.

More info.

both root methods i have listed do rest your device because they both require a unlocked bootloader and when you do that it must wipe data factory rest. if your bootloader is already unlocked then your are good and no data wipe is needed.

You already found the correct twrp, here's the best version of cm12 (lollipop): http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/rom-blisspop-3-1-t3084757
Here's cm13 (marshmallow) it's still a little rough around the edges but it's stable enough to be my daily driver: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/rom-slimrom-5-0-1-alpha-0-7-t2963906
I also have the t530nu and can confirm everything I linked to is working. Just make sure your tablet is on lollipop before flashing any ROMs or else they won't work. If your tablet hasn't been updated to lollipop yet, I have the stock Odin firmware you'll need in my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-galaxy-tab-4-official-lollipop-5-t3102844
Thank you sir I appreciate the advice. Do you know if I can install twrp using mobile.odin ? My PC is down right.now windows 10 is giving me a.hard time. That is my next project to tackle.

Idk about mobile Odin, but an app I guarantee will work is Flashify, I used it to install twrp on my t530nu:

Yeah I just saw that you posted it in the other thread thank you.

If you end up using cm13, install the latest SuperSU zip when you install the ROM and I've had better results with the 11-13 build than the 11-16 build. No need to flash the supersu zip if you use cm12 (BlissPop), it does that step automatically

Yeah I'm using cm 12 because I know it is stable. I'll wait for all the bugs to work out of marshmellow. Besides I using cm 12 on my note 2 and the phone is 2 years old and runs like a champ. And I thought you don't really
Need a superuser app on cm isn't it build right in the privacy settings? I know it is for the note 2 and s5. Oh and also which twrp do I download there are a few in the list I downloaded the last one and it comes up as a .tar not .img?

Yeah it is but the BlissPop I linked to has chainfire's supersu app built in since it works better with certain apps on lollipop. You don't have to worry about it, the rom installation takes care of it for you

Old CM Version on Note 3?

Can any one help me try to get cm11 on my verizon note 3. I have TWRP and Unlocked Bootloader with root running CM13 but I still want to run cm11 and when I tried to flash the rom, it gave me a updater 7 error. If you know a way to fix this please tell me.

Error 7 is typically a mismatch condition between the fingerprint of the recovery in use and the model of the phone the ROM is intended for - the ROM author puts an "assert" statement in the installer script to prevent dummies from flashing a ROM from the wrong device to a phone.
Assuming you didn't make a mistake downloading the wrong cm rom for the SM-N900V Note 3 this could be a "hlte" vs "hltevzw" issue depending on which TWRP version you have installed.
You can work around this by unpacking the ROM .zip file, deleting the offending "assert" line in the installer script, and red zipping the ROM.

I did and c-rom. Which i love. But with both of them lte data goes in and out. I've tried a bunch of things but can't figure it out. It's weird editing apns causes them to be deleted. Any ideas anyone?

TWRP error 7 typically means you're trying to install the zip onto the wrong device.

Yes if you are using the hltevzw twrp then just flash the hlte generic twrp and u can flash roms that don't require the hltevzw twrp to see the right rom is version is being flashed.
One more question , i am running JasmineRom its 5.0.x CM 11 is 4.x.x Will it work? if i install it?

I don't think so but was wondering since we have an unlocked bootloader, can we downgrade to a developer 4.4.2 rom and then install the cm11?

Downgrade from 9/8 to 7?

Hi, I'm currently on a RR build for Nougat and I was thinking of updating to a RR build based on 8 or 9, only to test a few things for the moment. If I wanted to go back to 7, could I make a nand backup and go back to 7 from 8/9 by simply flashing it? Or would there be no turning back?
Thanks.

Which TWRP version are you running? If you are on official 3.2.1-0 and you've the latest OOS 3.6.1 FW as base, you're good to go :good:
I will have to check my TWRP, I think it may be the hybrid one.
How can I find out my OOS FW?

You should find it in your build.prop, but try dialing *#1234# first.
Maybe it'll show you the FWv ver. from your currently ROM, not sure
BTW if you updated your phone to lastest MM from Oneplus, you're running the 3.6.1 FW
No luck with the code, whick line should I look for in build.prop?
bump
I've been looking at my build.prop but I couldn't find anything related. Any hints?
Thanks.
I ended it up doing the update anyway, thanks to all.
