After pre ordering my essential phone on the first day possible, i have been checking my order status just about 5 times a day. About an hour ago i couldn't see my order anymore, after calling Amazon freaking out they told me that my order was canceled due to them not receiving any inventory from Essential! I advise an Amazon pre orders to check immediately!

I ordered one from Amazon as a Prime customer a few days ago for the UK.
Then discovered they had cancelled my order due to the reason given in a previous post above.
Then today I received a $120 courtesy credit fom Amazon as an apology from them.
So I've re-ordered today, which now means my taxes to import to the UK are paid for.

For those that rolled the dice, make sure you are not more than 45 days from when payment was made as that is the time limit to file a claim with Paypal. With the "additional time" mentioned in the post above for them to receive the phones, plus the 10 days of handling time by them.... I would keep an eye on 45 days from when payment was made.
If you paid by credit card through Paypal you may have additional protection through your CC company.
I'm willing to bet money that this is a scam....

Apparently sites such as Amazon etc are starting to confirm that HTC has In fact delayed the release of the phone. Still not 100% but it's looking certain that it probably won't be in our hands this week :'( I was planning on going in store and picking it up this Friday by upgrading my contract, seems like I won't be able to do that if the dates are true!

I asked yesterday (using the "Live Chat" facility on their website) if my order was still due for delivery on the 15th and the guy said it was. When I checked earlier today, they were still advertising the phone as "order today for delivery on 15/03". So, grounds for optimism, I think.
I have been bombarding them every day as sad as it may sound but the sooner I get rid of this BB the better!
the same answer as been given to me time and time again and that is if there is a delay, a text and email will be sent out and also the website will be updated to reflect that.
Still the 15th far as I know. Don't know if it deserved a thread though dude mwilky check your spam...mine was in spam folder?

Not sure if this helps or is relevant but i called up phones4u today to confirm the cancellation of my order which was done over the weekend and the lady said "are you phoning up to cancel because there is no stock?" to which I just said no just wished to cancel and wanted to know if it had all gone through.
There is no point asking them coz they don't have exact answer about delivery or delayed because this things are out of their working or knowledge area they can inform you only those things which they have written on their computer screen, they will never answer about delay or delivery, I asked many times through different sources like Email, Over the phone, in-store but they don't know anything about it but one thing is sure that they will get stock on 13 or 14th then they start deliver for 15th as they promised, delayed only caused by delivery companies like Royalmail or whatever they choose to deliver due to high numbers of destination but don't expect delay more than 1-2 days
I advise people don't waste time looking or asking about it as HTC clearly mention on their official website that There is no problem or delay for UK region if any delay or short supply they will publish or inform through their website and P4U also inform buyers through email if any delay in processing

just been in store in perth scotland they have dummie handset none of staff knows anything about tariffs or pricing or dates. a girl phoned head office and put me on the phone to a sales person who sold me a htc one silver on Vodafone upgrade. 600min, unlimited txt 500mb data 1gb btopenzone £60 cash back free phone 24mth contract .i asked about free beats headphone and flip case was told he thought they were out of stock but would put me down for them and i would have to wait and see. when i asked about delivery he told me they had stock and would dispatch on the 14th for delivery on the 15th with no problems .when i got in i got a missed call from p4u so called them back they told me there were no problems with the order and i should get it on the 15th we will have to wait and see .i had an order with mobile phones direct on pre-order on the 8 march was told then delivery on the 15th yestarday that was changed to within 18 days .i phoned mobile phones direct to cancel pre-order and was told that they have an email from htc saying launch is put back to 29th march and he was surprised p4u had stock and where still looking to deliver on the 15th march.lets hope these are just rumors and there is stock for some UK sellers

Never buying anything from them ever.
I had placed total 4 orders through them. Only 1 went smoothly. They cancelled my first order. Then they sent phone even after cancellation of order more than 20 days after cancellation and without informing me charged for cancelled order.
2 Other orders were put on back order when website clearly mentioned item in Stock. Took almost 5 hours on phone to even get the single order that I got.
If htc does not change or offers alternate source for direct full price purchase, I am simply not going to buy.
This launch has been a fiasco.

Yup, you could always buy from a trusted phone manufacturer like Samsung who sell you a 16GB phone like the S4 with only around half available for storage. In your face with lots of storage from an HTC One

Yeah the note 7 was a phone I think I could of gone 3-4 years without changing.... The v20 is nothing like the note 7 but its doing fine for me.

I hated the curved edges on the N7. That's not a feature I will ever like. I also hated worrying we might never get root which obviously I am still in that position with my Sprint V20. I do worry a bit about the longevity of this v20. Hopefully it will last the normal 2 year life cycle of my sammy's although my N4 didn't make it a year.
