Working audio mod - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Can anyone suggest a working audio mod for the latest stock update ..I tried magisk ..it didn't work ..if there is any mod working ..please provide the link
Thanks

Honestly this is the main reason to understand my "love and hate" relationship with the stock rom. It's great, in terms of performance is even better than any custom rom i've used, but i tried every single method to get ViperFX working here, and i couldn't, always shows 'Processing: no' in driver status.
Regarding to your question Dolby Atmos is working. but i personally think that it's nothing compared to ViperFX.

Yes, sure. I always tried using The SElinux Toggler. But it didn't make any difference, it only happens to me on stock rom, in other roms i just use the ViperFX Magisk Module and works perfectly.
You have been able to get v4a audio processing working in the stock moto's rom?
Thanks in advance.

How exactly you install ? How did you test the sound actually ? What DSP are working as they say a lot like SRS, Viper, Dolby etc., ? Which kernel you are using ? I am new (was away for long time) so dont know where to test those settings.
Thanks

I see. Can you tell me how to enable and test Dolby, SRS effects in these mods ? There is another mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...d-kitakami-sound-mod-prototype-t3361092/page7 which I'm using now and works good (v4a by installing the lollipop version and system defaults), but no idea about SRS, Dolby effects as i did not get any of those apps after installing the mod. Do you have any idea ?

hhmmm i am using this also, since the one that i linked have a microphone issue on the z3+, i dont really know how to unable those, since that in the zip file, there are no such "apps" apart from v4a for effects and a customized sound enhancement app.

I've been running WETA and so far its running great. It has an aroma installer that lets you install the mods that you want and leave off the ones you don't so you can keep it close to stock.

And this.
I prefer running using Magisk v6 with the viper4 addon but Numbers is excellent as well, just waiting for WETA to support Magisk a little more cleanly before I head back to it. But if you don't use Android Pay or similar or for some other reason care about Magisk then WETA will get you up and running REALLY quickly with a great Nougat build. And it works fine with Magisk to a great extent, just a couple minor picayunes that I'm hoping will go away with time.:good:
Arise is basically Viper with Dolby Atmos. Tbh Viper is too much for me, as long as Dolby is working on stock N that has enough of an effect ,'m good to go But if you look back in the Arise thread, maybe back a week or so, i made a post saying that I finally got Viper/Dolby including SPEAKER See Speaker was something I was struggling to get to work on stock N with things like Spotify, play music, YouTube, even notifications, and some other things... basically every sound that comes out of the speakers except phone calls, unless it was via Bluetooth. Bluetooth was working overall, headphones were working overall and I even somehow found out locally stored music was working with speaker, but not those other things I had previously mentioned, was so weird. And of course it made it even more confusing bec some N users were saying it was fully working and others were in my situation.
That was until I found a post by user @SixFourSix he said to add/edit this certain file in system/etc . I went ahead and did that and after weeks of struggling, I had finally figured it out thanks to his tip. Everything was working with Viper and Atmos, those things I mentioned, except for one thing, phone calls, with Bluetooth I'm pretty sure it has an effect, but anything else with calls, for some reason, no. Don't know why. And I hadn't seen anyone comment on why. Maybe Arise isn't supposed to do that.
Yeah so go back to my posts in the Arise thread if you'd like, you'll see exactly what I mean.
Good luck

I'm trying to get Viper to work with Magisk,
I tried the zip from the magisk modules thread but it's asking me to install drivers at launch (which I didn't). Also tried selinux to permissive and force v4a, but didn't get it to process the audio. I also freezed music fx, but still wasn't getting anything.
I was running a song from SoundCloud to see if v4a was working
How did you manage to make it work with Magisk

I think that you are trying to go for systemless mode. System less mod doesn't work for our device. Just flash normal xtrememusic 7.5.9 through recovery.
If you want dolby atoms you have to flash dolby atoms later. If you flash dolby atoms first then it will not work properly.
Cheers
Happy flashing

Just go through the link and flash it. Don't worry about poweramp mate. It will work. (I hope so, bcz I don't use power amp but it is claimed by the dev that power amp will works with xtrememusic)

Dolby ATMOS for Z2

Here I present Dolby ATMOS for our beloved Z2 devices... Work great for me.. Battery efficient too... Tested... Should work on every Custom ROM available out there for our devices.
Installation :
1. Enter into recovery ( TWRP )
2. Wipe cache and dalvik.
3. Flash the ZIP
4. STEP 2
5. ENJOY
NOTE : Install magisk before flashing the zip... to avoid any kind of FC
I'm not responsible for any kind of loss to your device eace:
Pls give link for source of Dolby.zip
Not sure why the need for separate file as the Dolby Atmos by Yash99, available in Magisk modules, works quite well !!

Can u please tell what's the difference between the Dolby from magisk( it's 40+ mb) and urs which is 2-3mb and can we flash it on current version, or we need to remove the current first?? And if we need to remove the current (which is installed from magisk), Then why this one is small package??
Thanks in advance

Can't say anything about the magisk version... I'm not its maintainer.. Can just say that this one implements the files in the root directory and is much reliable. I would say to go with this to avoid any battery drains or FC's which you might face in magisk version. If you plan to flash this one i would recommend removing the previous one first.

Omg Love you bro, Amazing, In some builds and in magisk, i encountered fc because of selinux enforcing, but i was successfully able to install a7000 build from magisk, i always got fc with newer version , but i was happy with older a7000 version until suddenly after rom upgrade, i got some issues with lower voice so reinstalled it(46mb) so in my mind it was it's large in size so sound must be good(my selfish assumptions ) but then also it didn't do well same lower voice, then installed your build
I saw you build before but like i said before my waste assumptions i thought magisk module has 46mb and this just 2, sound won't be good but finally thanks to you, i tried it and finally here enjoying it amazing sound and bass in my mi in ear headphones, Loved it
Better than magisk modules of dolby for our z2,

Dolby Atmos on 7.0 AQL5?

Sorry.. but I didn't find any info anywhere on how to get Dolby Atmos working on Nougat, except something intonsome ROM integrated.
Is there some full flashable package available? Or some Magisk stuff?
Hope someone can help me out with an instruction for it?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: it seems to be fully working on a ROM by ambassadii, but since I'd like to use renovate ice nougat, I'm interested in how to get this working in it?
it seems to be an arya soundmod with viper, beats and atmos. and atmos is sounding STUNNING with this imho..

Do a search for "ahiron v4a" and for "ainur sauron" and you will find instructions.
Or install PartCyborgRom in the rom section for v4a+Pandora(similar to sauron)+atmos. It's in the rom section
