IMEI "0" - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Got a brand new LG G6 H870.
The IMEI shows up as "0" in the menus, in *#06# and even when trying to flash unlock.bin it says the IMEI is 0000000000000.
I have the correct IMEI on the sticker.
Any ideas how can I fix this? (sending it to LG isn't an option)

Are you getting service? Mind if I ask where you bought yours from? Seems like an issue..

Phone returned to the retailer. Case closed.

Sorry for my bad english..
Based upon claims your IMEI is fake, either the original IMEI was cloned and subsequently discovered, or the phone is counterfeit. I'd see about getting your money back, because Samsung won't touch it, and discussing methods to change the IMEI is forbidden here.

Don't worry about the IMEI Cert. Mine says "N/A" yet the phone functions normally.
As to the IMEI itself, when you enter *#06# into the dialer, what is the result? Do you get a number, a number starting with 049, or a null response? If a number, does that match the number in the battery compartment?
Any other result than a number matching the number in the battery compartment requires the phone be serviced, which may not be cheap, assuming Samsung even touches the phone.
Bluetooth and WiFi may work again if you flash the firmware for your device through Odin. But this phone will never make calls until the IMEI issue is resolved, if it can be resolved.

disassembly and check hardware was too but nothing happen

Send the device to Samsung for service. Especially if repeatedly flashing the firmware didn't fix the WiFi and Bluetooth. Be prepared to pay for the privilege.

Can't get network on LG G2 F320L

Hi,
Story: I bought F320L for 86$. The bad think was there is no IMEI in it. The seller didn't told me there is no baseband too. I was trying to repair it since 3 months... Finally i found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/f320k-f320l-f320s-network-problem-t2921626 and it "worked". When I insert the sim card into phone, it can see the network and work with it for 5minutes. But I can't call nobody, recive calls, write sms, check how much money I have got.. Nothing. So when I flashed this baseband, I managed to restore IMEI with EFS Professional. I can restore Imei and ESN, but i can't restore MEID. In phone is IMEI and ESN. When I flashed rom "CloudyStock 2.8" with baseband from @Cloudyfa, it didn't worked. When I flashed this bb from @grandixximo, it worked, but like on stock: no calls etc. I was trying many providers like: P4, Plus, Orange (Polish providers). I think it can't be hw problem because phone can connect to network for maybe 5 minutes(and then it loses the network and trying to search). What can I do now?

Signal Lost

I have 2 different imei's.When I check the imei written on the back of the device on imei checker then it tells me its model is d802.The second imei (which is different from the first one) I get is from the phone settings. When I check the second imei on imei checker,it also tells the model as d802.But when I checked the model number on the motherboard of the device by actually opening it,there is written d800.
Also, the I am running the d800 software(I bought it that way)....it worked fine till it mysteriously lost the cell signal.I am thinking that may be if I change the imei of the phone to a d800 one,I might be able to regain the signals. But I can not find d800 imei anywhere.Any suggestions??

VS995 with T-Mobile ROM? How to flash back to VS995?

Hi,
I have a V20 that works fine but I'm trying to unlock it. I thought I had a H918 but when I give my IMEI or use the unlock app from T-Mobile they are not able to find it. When I plugged my IMEI into a checker it says I have a VS995. I verified with a Verizon unlocker that my IMEI is a VS995.
Either way, I'm trying to flash a stock VS995 back on to it but LGUP obviously says I can not cross flash. How could this have happened in the first place?
Grab the patched copy of LG UP and dump your aboot partition and post a link. I need to see if the RSA key matches a VS995 or an H918.
If the key matches a VS995, then you can use the patched LG UP in partition DL mode to put the VS995 firmware back on your phone. If it matches the key of the H918, then you will brick your phone if you use anything other than H918 firmware.
If it is an H918 aboot, then someone has changed the IMEI of the phone. Even suggesting this is a gray area, but considering I am not telling you HOW to do it, then I think I will be safe...
You will need to buy a cheap T-Mobile phone, and change the IMEI over from that phone to this one, and then throw the cheap phone away.
Do not ask how to change an IMEI -- that is a no no on here.

Not asking about IMEI change
aboot dump is here:

Thanks
That is most definitely an H918. Someone swapped the IMEI with a VS995.
If you flash VS995 firmware onto it, you will brick it.
Your only choice is to swap the IMEI back...

So strange, is there anywhere the IMEI is printed on the phone, I'm pretty sure its mandatory.
The phone has a T-Mobile ROM on it, was like that when I bought it as well.
Both of my V20s (H910 and H918) have the IMEI on a sticker under the battery. Did you buy the phone new?
-- Brian
Bought used, will report back. Thanks for all the help Brian
Edit, no sticker under battery, just a QR code.
Someone bought it used off of eBay (or somewhere) with a bad IMEI, refurbished it, and put a VS995 IMEI on it. Don't know if you bought from eBay or not, but whenever you buy a used cell phone, make SURE you are buying from a reputable dealer. It is very easy to grab a bunch of junk phones just for their IMEIs.....

hey guys..
anyone has qcn for vs995..?

Can i install a KDZ on my lg g6 that have an IMEI from other smartphone?

Hi, I bought a LG g6 from a person on the internet, the phone works super well in everything, but until now I did not have the curiosity to unlock the bootloader, then I realized that the IMEI of my computer does not correspond to an LG G6, but to one of one older one (LG L50), so I can't unlock the bootloader, my question is, Can I install a KDZ file to my phone having the IMEI of another? or the program that installs the kdz file, LG UPPERCUT, checks the IMEI.
No, it sounds like your phone is probably stolen or blocked. Discussion of imei is banned in xda as trying to alter it is illegal.
Take the phone back to the seller or report them.
i was thinking that the phone suffer of change of IMEI, bad for me because i bought it like 1 mounth ago, anyway i will try if work flash any kdz for my model (H870), thanks for the replay btw
