Does Nubia roms support video calling feature using dialer? - ZTE Nubia Z17 Questions & Answers

I have a simple question please don't get annoyed.
Does Nubia roms support video calling feature using dialer or not?
I want to buy nubia n2 that's why I am asking.
Moreover does it support double tap to wake up and close??
Does it support flip to silent calls?
Please let me know
I have asked this question here because there is nothing much for nubia handsets on google and no video even didn't tell about such features. And there is no thread for Nubia N2.

Skype launches video call function for Android

Today, Skype have updated their Skype for Android™ app on Android™ Market to support Video calling for a select number of phones including the Xperia™ neo and the upcoming Xperia™ pro.
The Skype application lets users do all the great things users are used to on Skype for Android™ and now adds the free video calling feature allowing you to make free video calls between supported Android™ phones, iOS devices, PC’s, Mac’s and even some TV’s on WiFi or 3G. Video calling can consume a lot of data so when using 3G you should make sure you have an appropriate data plan.
For best performance we recommend a strong WiFi connection. If you are on 3G, you should make sure you have an appropriate data plan.
You can use the forward facing camera on Xperia™ neo or Xperia™ pro to video chat with your friends or easily switch to using the main 8 MPixel camera with Sony’s Exmor R™ for mobile sensor to show friends your surroundings.
Skype have updated their website today with plenty of info and support material so check it out and happy video calling on your Xperia™ smartphone!
So if we can use the main camera for video call in Neo,Pro etc then we can use it for X10 as well...all we need is a big mirror now
anyone tried updating skype and testing the video call?
Hi mate... I have tried Skype video call in my Xperia Neo whereas i cant get a video call option on my Xperia X10. The video call clarity in tremendous in Neo i would like to have the same feature on my X10 as well. Skype support has posted that they will deliver more support to phones in the near future and it would be very nice of them if they add this feature to the Xperia X10 as well. Let our prayers come true.
Take this with a pinch of salt, but maybe it's a gb capability to use switch cameras. I could have read it somewhere or I could well making that up.

I believe so too, the front-facing camera support was introduced with GB.
But I also think that Fring uses the default back camera for video calls on Android for a while now. Again, not too sure about it, I never used it myself!
so basically do u think we have to wait for gb in order to get this feature to work?? or maybe fring could be the key for now?

Basically, since we don't have a front camera,
we will have to wait for Skype to make video calls work
with the basic back camera.
Meanwhile, check Fring here.
Fringsters, we love the great response to Android video calls.
From our last blog post, we’ve found out that:
- 54% of you are video calling your lover/partner
- 22% your kids/grand-kids.
- Only 7% told us that you are video calling your turtle
Now, with this latest release, we have worked on your feedback to include quality improvements and support for more Android devices including the Dell Streak, Sony Ericsson X10 and more.

Xperia X10i via Tapatalk
maybe will be fixed can live with it tho
Hi,
I have tried it but video call don't work.
Tried to downgrade to 2.1 but still won't work.
Can anyone tell me what he or she did to get it working in previous version.
Video Chat on SKYPE 2.0.0.47 (modded Version for VideoChat) works great on X10 Stock Gingerbread. On Backcam only but it works and the quality is good.
But I used a modded Version usually made for Samsung Galaxy S (II).
Search for it, can't (won't) post Link here as its "modded".

native 3G video call ?

hello
does the default ROM , or any other ROM support 3G video calling ?
i mean with out apps like tango or others
just normal 3G calling ( like samsing or nokia ! )
never mind guys
after some search i knew that it's not possible
best shot is to use apps
Request to XDA Developers
As we all know, native video call is not possible in Sony Xperia Phones.
I request to XDA Developers to develop a new android app to make native video call for Xperia phones.
So why don't you make your request in the Xperia Play forum? This is the Dell Streak 5 forum.

[Q] HD Voice support?

Out of interest does anyone know if the Nexus 4 will support HD voice? Is it a feature that requires baseband support or is it implemented in the system software?

Good question. I've currently got it on my Samsung Galaxy S3.
For it to work, you need all of the following:
- A handset that supports it (hardware-wise)
- A network that supports it (such as 3 Mobile in the UK)
- Software that supports it (The official 3 Mobile Samsung ROMs for the S3 support it, and CM10 supports it for the S3, but I don't know whether this was added in or part of Android 4.1.X natively)
- The call needs to be between two devices that meet all of the above.
HD voice is very impressive, though. It's like having the person stood next to you talking in your ear (which may or may not be a good thing, depending who you're talking to!).
I hope the Nexus 4 has it, it might possibly even be a deal-breaker for me if it doesn't.
Well, the baseband is a Qualcomm MDM9615 which should definitely support AMR-WB (the codec needed for HD Voice) so that's one part of the puzzle solved. Three definitely support it on their network, so the only question now is whether the phone's software supports it.
ja i have also tried to google that info... guess we have to ask the real google ^^ or LG?
really hope tht it will support HD Voice

Looks like the Optimus G also has it..?
So hardwarewise we are safe to go? CM 10 also does support it if i am not mistaken? would be strange if Android would not?
Also tried to contact LG but that did not help much. ( They at least assured me it is voice enabled and has got google now *facepalm*)

Forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't it the DSP that needs to support it? The QDSP6 does appear to support AMR-WB anyway, I just didn't think the baseband had anything to do with it, have I misunderstood?

The DSP responsible for implementing the codec is integrated within the MDM baseband chip, and from what I've gleaned the baseband does support it.
Still nothing on that?
Neither google nor LG replied..
Well I've got my Nexus 4 now, so I rang my wife on her Samsung Galaxy S III (we're both on the 3 network in the UK) and the call was in HD.
So the Nexus 4 does support HD voice!
I just posted a reply to another thread that I'm getting HD voice on my N4 as well.

T-Mobile HD Voice
I can't wait to see if it works on the Nexus 4 over T-Mobile in the US. They recently announced support but neglected to list the Nexus 4 on their supported devices, even though they sell the device in stores.

Let's hope they have a firmware update for the upcoming LTE network too.

Please how can you check whether the call is in HD?

It sounds like you're stood next to the person rather than being on the phone.
Technically, I don't know how you'd check in-call, there's no indication or notification or anything like that.

Any Wear watch with a speaker that can be used for calls?

I want to switch badly from my Samsung Gear 2, but I can't give up the speakerphone. It's the best feature I use. Any Android Wear options?
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
No, at least not yet. For some reason Google doesn't want speakers in their Android Wear watches.
After a year, they're still hanging on to that policy? Ugh. There was Talk back in May that Android M was going to integrate support for Wear Speakers. We'll see.
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
There's an android wear port for the Gear2, it's missing a kernel module though to add the bluetooth audio headset profile and enable using it as handsfree ( question many times answered on the dev and qa thread ). Maybe someone with the necessary time will figure this out ? Just subscribe on the qa thread and you'll see...

Inbuilt applock for flagship mobile

https://community.samsungmembers.com/en_IN?projectId=0&meta=#/post?postId=410989
#ssecueforgalaxys8
We are premium customers of Samsung. We are using flagship mobile. We need a inbuilt app lock feature to prevent app from family member or unknown person to access. Please provide this feature. I've asked this feature before. I got a reply from your team like we are still working on it. But there is no improvement.
Budget mobile like j7, a6 mobile are having this feature. Why can't we. Is there any problem to provide this feature in flagship mobile. If yes let me know.
I request you to take this problem to developer team and please don't reply like we are working on it.
Also i have a another question
Will exynos 8895 supports dual volte.
if yes let me know why samsung not providing this feature on s8.
