I'm really glad to see you working on a new rom.
I flashed this rom and it's great but could you
-Add the versions of stock apps (Market, gmail, youtube, etc..)
-Remove (Samsung Apps) that help you download some apps from samsung
instead of using a fix for RTL issues. Why don't you use one of the base ROMs that are already supporting RTL languages (you can check them out in samfirmwares)
once I encounter any type of problem, I'll keep you updated

All-around nice job with this ROM. Will be watching for further enhancements (4 lockscreen option, haptic on home fix and a bit more theming (pull down, in particular)).

Thanks for the suggestions
about the base ROM, I'm not planning to change the base to a localized one, since I want to be as close as possible to the I9000 tree, so I prefer to apply the needed patches to these versions
about the stock apps version, they are the versions that come with xwjs3, if you have a specific recommended version of a certain app, I am ahppy to hear
about the Samsung Apps, if more people will ask for a removal, I will certainly do so
actually if anyone has suggestions, of apps they would like to see added or removed, I am open to suggestions.

Thank you so much for your nice work! I have tested each single ROM for Mi 5S Plus and this Carbon Rom is the best for sure, I will list below pros and cons of this Rom
* pros:
Super fast and smooth
App Ops works perfectly in this Rom, I mean permissions really works when you apply them, not like other roms that set permissions may be ignored by some apps
Battery life is fantastic, thanks to the App Ops
Wifi, 4G, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth works without single issue.
Voice Recorder is super clear not like some other Roms and voice plugins works on chat apps perfectly (this is the only Rom that able to run voice plugin for chat apps)
Enhanced 4G LTE mode for voice calls works and it can be turned off (for Max. battery life)
Lid Notifications works
Google play services works properly, some users may not notice the difference but if you are using apps that relies on Google Play Services for notifications, then you will notice the difference with this Rom
*cons:
Hardware Navigation buttons are less responsive most of the times than other Roms (especially Home and back buttons)
MMS works on 1 sim per time and it requires restart when you switch between 2 sims for APN and MMS settings. Other Roms works on both sim by default.
Camera has lines on view screen only but it take photos just fine.
Double tap to wake up the device WILL NOT work once you set fingerprint.
Gallery app can't display full screen, it shows black bar at the top in full screen mode
* Here is my setup for this device (fresh install):

open_gapps-arm64-7.1-pico-modified can be downloaded here (calendar and contact sync REMOVED. TTS and unnecessary google rubbish has been removed) I use gapps for Google play services only as some apps won't work without it.
I have removed stock camera and installed Google Pixel camera can be downloaded from here, I have tested all Google Pixel cameras and this is the only version that works perfectly with this Rom for front and back camera.

Good ROM & most smaller size ROM in nougat
Hi OP - After flash really Good ROM & most smaller size ROM in nougat just about 500 MB only :
1) Just tested default camera pictures & video has no issue but i will try more time to see is it OK
2) search icon & app icon is very old style so i think this cause ROM can make to smaller size BUT i don't mind it
3) install lock screen apps it can be unlock compatible with finger print that's SO awesome :silly: as previously i come from Legend ROM 3th party lock screen apps unable bypass PIN during finger print unlock...
4) Overall it's very smooth/good ROM...
5) apps drawer icon is quite big i check setting no setting can be reduce icon size so any idea to edit ?

2 issue i found :
1) SMS notification light is work but Miss called notification light did not work
2) charging sound did not work too...
