Do you have a custom ROM? You might want to change the statusbar text color.

Try Gravity Box to change the color. You'll need xposed though.

Try tinted status bar on xposed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457265 so you can change the color on every app too.

Well I'm not using Google Now. I have color in all my notifications when I pull down my notification drawer like Gmail, You tube, Textra Whatsapp. Idk, maybe I'm missing what you mean. My notifications have as much color in them as the pic you posted.

I need the dynamic navigation bar that links the color of navigation bar to the page not the one that links the navigation bar to the status bar
Thanks for your time

Has this really worked for you? I have modified it as you indicate but the black color of the bottom of the notification bar is still black.
Could you do screenshots to check this out? I will be very grateful to you :fingers-crossed:

It worked for me
The correct path is /system/emui/lite/prop/local.prop and you have to set ro.build.hw_emui_lite.enable to false
No root? Can't?

No chance to FIX it without rooting the phone?!?
It would be much better if the black background can be removed as below the notification shortcuts.

I really didn't understand that stupid policies by Huawei, because they remove a feature that was already unable on the old EMUI4.1, also on the lite series. Anyway thanks for your answer!
Guys, are you looking for something like this?
Would there be any interest in an app that could modify the colour and opacity of the quick settings panel? And possibly of the notifications panels?
I don't know if you're aware that there is a theme editor in the Playstore. I'm not sure what it does because I can't get it to work on my phone, but if it doesn't do that, I'm happy to make an app for modding these things.
Let me know!

It'll take me a while so in the meantime I can do it for you. Just tell me what theme you use and what hex you want for your quick settings background (+ opacity) and for the quick settings icons if you want to change their color.
This is mine at the moment:
Please don't PM me. We can do it in this thread.

Here's the one called Default. If it's not the right one, let me know.

Place in your HWThemes folder, go to Themes app, select and apply.

Substratum issue

Dear,
I bought the swift black for substratum, and I even bought the extra package for substratum that is required to run it on te s8.
But, when I apply the theme, everything seems fine except for the notifications. There still all white.
Is that an issue with the rom I'm running or an issue with substratum itself?
Hope someone can help me.
With the stock ROM on the S8, Substratum themes are not able to change the color of the notifications.
What ROM do you have installed?

Yeah go to rice rom control app and change it from there.
Yup, you can't change notifications color or quick settings colors with substratum mods, it's made for AOSP ROMs, not for TouchWiz/SamsungExperience
I'm using Rice app on Renovate ROM and it works perfectly

Looking for Substratum themes (unrooted)

The only substratum themes that I've found and use are Flux, Pitch Black S and Swift Black.
Does anybody use some other themes which I haven't found that work on unrooted note 9?
Sprite works great on Pie
AOSPUI Black is good too. Only theme so far that gives me all black notifications without root.

How did you get Substratum to work? When I down load and open it, it says nothing available for this device yet?
I haven't had any luck with it. I really want to try Linear but there are so many things broken or for older app versions that it just won't apply.
