For quick photos it's grainy enough to be a bit annoying so the quality is not great, but above average. But if you use manual mode with a high (?) f-stop like 1/16, 1/4 or 1/2 and change the exposure it can greatly improve the quality. That is, if you have steady hands.

I've recently purchased this device and must say quality of selfie is much better but just i found a small glitch on portrait mode.
When you zoom the picture so you will be able to see some pixlate at the corner on face.
But it's acceptable and can't get understand when you see first time.

Horrible. Focus locked in certain distance, usually get's blurred and noisy. Try using Gcam.
