How do I stop the unread message badges - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Ok so i recently went back to the stock LG launcher, i was using Nova before, now i have an unread message badge on the sms, Facebook, ifunny and i cant seem to turn it off without disabling all notifications. Any one have any ideas how to stop the unread message count without disabling the heads up notifications? Or the name of the badge provider app?

SMS Noticfication Problem

So i just rooted and installed handcent and turned off stock sms notifications but when receiving text i was getting a notification from handcent and what i thought was the stock app. But then i turned on stock sms notifications and now i get notification from handcent, one from stock app and and one that says New Message(s) You have an unread message and it looks like a little picture of envelope or post card. I have no idea where that notification is coming from. its very annoying please help
Never mind thread can be closed found out that even if you don't use beautiful widgets sms that the notification will still show

Messenging Bug/Error??

I use Handcent for messenging like many people do, and have turned off the notifications in the stock messenging app to avoid getting double text message notifications.
Every thing has been peachy for the past month, until just today, I noticed when I get text messages, the notification from Handcent AND Stock show in my bar. I thought that I might of changed the settings on the stock, so I checked but notifications were set to OFF in the settings.
I rebooted the phone, and tried receiving a text again. Still the default messenger app notification shows, then handcent for each text. I even went and uninstalled the damn stock MMS.apk to get rid of the double popup!
Now, when i receive text messages BOTH notification still pop up, and if you press the stock messenger notification, it doesn't do anything. -___-;;;
Thought it was a problem with Handcents most recent update this morning, so i re-installed the older version from a few weeks ago. STILL getting double notifications!
Anyone else have this problem?

Launchers

Is there a launcher out there that gives me these features.
Besides the features Nova and Apex offer I'm looking for more options. Go Launchers offers some unread badges but you cant enable it in accessible settings on 4.2.2.
Unread notifiers. Unread badge on all apps installed on my device.
Apex has external notifiers but they don't work at all. The dev said u need to have the other app dev change there API. What a mess.
Nova only does gmail,sms,calls.
I need Kik, whats app, gmail, sms, phone call.
I was able to use nova and missed it and get what ever I wanted for unread badges but since I use a pebble the pebble notifier app takes over the missed it and it dont give me unread badges anymore.
SO is there a launcher that works with other apps for unread badges? Yes i need unread badges.
BUMP
If you want unread notifications and you're not particular about it being badges.. You can try out dash clock or minimalistic text widget..

Unread Notification Badge Counter

I'm using Nova Launcher Prime and Tesla Unread.
My email app unread notification badge works, but it doesn't work for my Google Messages SMS App.
There isn't a native unread notification badge counter in our settings, is there?

Be sure that you go into the TeslaUnread app and turn on Notifications.

Thanks, it was turned on, but I think what happened was that it wasn't jiving with an icon I was using on the homescreen.
The native icon within my app drawer showed the unread, so I just removed the homescreen icon.
As much bloat as Sammy put in here, there are actually far more tuning features in the os than I would have expected.
I'm still with the OP on Nova/TeslaUnread,
but I thought I saw a built-in notification badge function I may try at some point.
I have Nova Prime but I have been trying out the stock TouchWiz launcher. Is there a badge count in settings? I am wondering if Google Voice icon supports it as I am using that for messaging
Inaccurate SMS/MMS Badge Count
I have a OnePlus 6T running Android 9.0.5 (OxygenOS). I downloaded Evie launcher and i've had inaccurate unread badge counts for my SMS app since then; it seems every time a new group thread is started, the number goes up by 1 and never falls below that (eg, if i have 4 "unread" messages and a friend texts me, the number goes to 5 until i read it, but if i get a new group chat 5 becomes the new minimum number).
I've gone through every message and thread; i've deleted multiple group threads which are finished; I've tried clearing the cache and i've downloaded Textra which has the same problem.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get the count accurate?

instagram unread badge won't go away....

Hi,
Anyone else have a problem with the unread badge not disappearing after you have read and deleted the message in Instagram?
Hold app icon and you get a list of options and one is clear badge count
Never been a problem. I just go in read the message and it's gone.

It is present on my Galaxy A5 2017 and not only with Instagram. Facebook, Telegram, Messenger, etc.
Just long press the icon and in the options that appear there should be one to "remove notification badges" or something like that.

Not on Oreo. When you have notifications in the tray, it still counts those even if you've cleared everything in the app.
Delete the IG app and reinstall it. Maybe you have a bug on it.
