Hello! I have a Galaxy (sm-G531F) which was bought sec-hand. I did a factory reset to clean it but then it asked for previous user email. I tried to unlock it with Z3X but then i realize that the device was not recognized by PC. I tried almost everything to make it work but i don't know what else to do. I tried windows troubleshooting, reinstalling drivers and updating drivers. When the device is connected, the windows sees that there is a device but shows up message (unknown device connected). If there is anything that can help me solving this i'll be happy to hear it. Thnx!

Search for a few hours and still no working solution. Each time i connect the s5 the the pc i can hear it connected but still im getting a message saying " USB device not recognized ". i uninstalled all samsung drivers then i reinstall a new set from their website and still having the same problem. Would appreciate any help
Did you find the problem? Same here, I hear it connect and it shows in the notifications that the usb is connected but the folder wont show in my pc. All my other phones show up fine. Tried everything.. #help

My phone is Samsung A8 variant A800i non-rooted and already 6.0.1.
Eversince I upgraded to MM thru ODIN I am encountering an error in my OTG as in it won't read any disk... the only resort to make the otg work again is to reflash my phone. However during the most recent otg failure, a "USBsettings has stopped" was shown. I factory reset my phone but still this notification appears everytime I start my phone. So when I decided to reflash my phone, I was shocked that my laptop only charges my phone. It can't even detect my files thru mtp connection.
I tried the following and my laptop still can't detect my phone:
1. At the Developers Option I tried to switch the USB Configuration from MTP to Charging to MTP and various other switching, while connected and unconnected to laptop.
2. Dialled *#0808# to reset USBsettings but I am only getting "USBsettings" has stopped.
3. I reinstalled the USBsettings.apk from the system folder (via total commander).
4. I have installed USBsettings.apk taken from another phone.
By the way before I tried the above methods I have already eliminated the cable and pc problems since using the same cable and laptop, I can connect my other samsung phone thru mtp and is detected by odin. I have also tried various other desktop on Windows 7 and 10 but still the same problem: these only charges my phone.
Moreover, there is no abnormality in my charging time eversince this happened.
Hope someone could help me make this work again.

First of all, excuse me, I'm using a translator because my English is not very good. I was using a custom rom and wanted to back to stock so I flashed the correct firmware for my model (A-510M ARO NOUGAT) via ODIN. The process ended and had no errors. When I turned on the phone and connected it to my pc and it does not recognize it, it only charges the battery. I tried to format from the recovery and it shows the message "failed to find / misc partition"
- I tried with other USB cables.
- I tested it with other USB ports.
- I've updated Samsung drivers.
- I tried the secret menu and it does not work.
- does not recognize the download mode either
- I can not use ODIN to reinstall the firmware.
- Samsung Kies does not recognize the phone.
- Does not recognize ADB mode
The truth is that I am desperate and I do not know what to do. I can not reinstall the firmware if the PC does not recognize it. If anyone knows a possible solution I am very grateful.

i came across your situation long ago. it is the pc that doesn't recognize your phone. try with different pc. also you can try to format using settings>backup & reset menu. I ended up resetting my pc in order to recognize my phone.

Hi! I tried but is not working. I discover a new problem: when i connect the USB cable the phone shows me a message: "the battery temperature is very low. Charge stopped". Could be another the problem?

I have similar problem but i did nothing like rom flashing. One day, the pc just don't recognise the phone, even in download mode. I tried differents pc, differents cables and ports...nothing. i tried *#0808#, drivers reinstallation, nothing... when i connect the phone, the pc display "unknown device code 43" and the phone just get charging. OTG doesn't work

I have a similar problem...I downloaded the correct firm ware...restart the phone hard restate the phone but I still get error failed to find misc/partion...please help me...and it stays in ftp lock

No worries. We don't have misc partition so it's normal.
FRP lock won't reset on firmware flash. You need to enter your google account on boot.
To disable frp lock before factory reset next time, either remove your google account from your phone, or disable screen lock before reset.
You can't flash new firmware from download mode if you are in frp lock.

Here is my problem:
I have a FRP Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950F with Android 8.0 and, when trying to connect it to Odin on the PC, it doesn't recognize it. I've installed the universal Samsung drivers, the ADB drivers but nothing happens. I use its original USB-C cable as advised but still no sign of life.
I cannot check the USB Debugging in the Developer Settings because it's locked.
What can I do?

There are many many threads on this on xda as well as google...This is one of those things many will not help on due to possible thievery
hello I'm really hoping somebody can help me because I'm not getting answers anywhere I've halfway through a course to learn mobile tech repairs and I'm completely stuck on a Samsung SM g925a when trying to remove the FRP. I have written my class instructors and I'm not getting any response. I've downloaded all the drivers from Samsung I've updated them all but however it is not allowing me to connect the device to my PC so I can get it into odin to flash combination files. When I plug the device in to my windows 10 pc I receive a pop up saying the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it and then in device manager when I open it it shows as unknown USB device device descriptor request failed. I tried to download the drivers again reinstalled and updated them and that didn't work. I changed all my cords tried it on every Cord I had and it didn't work, yet these cords recognized other devices I had. I also uninstalled the USB driver and then I ran the hardware troubleshooter still got nothing and then I also disabled fast startup none of this has worked. I also have spent countless hours researching on line and I'm just not getting any answers and I get the same troubleshooting ideas I've already tried however I did come across a program USB debugger r but I don't know if I had just downloaded it wrong or had the wrong firmware files but it wasn't working for me I thought maybe that would help me to connect to PC. I'm still learning and only halfway through the course but it seems like this is such an easy issue that I just can't seem to figure out is there anybody out there willing to help me figure this out please I'm sure something simple Im missing or forgetting but I've been dedicated to this phone and I sure can't figure it out it's stopping me right at the gate.
