Ambient light sensor

Hey all,
I just got my new HTC HD2.
It don't adjust the backlight automatic even when the option is enabled.
Today was a good test because it was very sunny. But nothing happens.
I did a small test with light a few sec. ago but nothing.
The other sensor is working fine. (G-Sensor and Proximity sensor)
Any tips?
Greetings,
Henk
under the sound and display part of the settings, is the automatic brightness settings box checked?
If you find it turned off most likely your percentage will be set at 30% which means that you my friend most likely gots stuck with USED phone that was sold to you as a brand new phone...

Automatic brightness not working

Since I flashed the leedroid rom, automatic brightness doesn't work too well. The display is always very dark...even if I go in the sun, the brightness doesn't go maximum. If I manually set it to maximum, then I can tell the difference with the automatic brightness level which is much darker (around 40% brightness level).
No matter what rom I use (I flashed today ultimate droid, revolution HD, miui)....with everyrom the same thing. The sensor is not dirty, I thought maybe it doesn't get too much light so the phone doesn't recognize how bright is the environment but yeah...it doesn't really look right to me.
Before every rom I always to a full wipe through clockwork recovery....what can I check ?
Use app "sensor list" or the the lux (brightness) on "gps status" to check if your sensor is actually working. The values should change between:
10-40-90-160-225-320-640-1280-2600-10240
They may skip some values going through the range, and maybe take a few seconds for the values to change or register on your display.
Use a torch to gradually shine over the sensor, so you can see the autobrightness change along with the lux reading.

Brightness to zero - Hard or Software bug?

HI!
Yesterday i set the brightness of my nexus 4 to 0 (with the slider by
shifting it to the left position). Surprisingly this turned my screen
off, while the touch pad still works. By using a bright flashlight i
was able to set the brightness level to a normal value again, but i
think this is not supposed to happened anyway. A friend of mine has a
nexus 4 too and he can set the brightness to zero without turning off
the screen. Is this a hardware bug and must i be worried about it or
is it just a software bug?

light sensor

Hello gays,
I have problem with my light sensor on P8. Time to time, when I've light my display it doesn't switch automatic brightness, stay on minimum illumination. Wen I turn off display and light up again, there is normal brightness??? Does someone know what can be done?

Adaptive Brightness

Is anyone's adaptive brightness setting not working properly? Sometimes my screen will be super bright for no reason, other times it will be at a minimum. I've adjusted the slider with the adaptive brightness setting on but, it still seems to not adjust correctly.

No just the screen protector that came with the phone. I guess my sensor is bad.
sometimes it takes longer to adapt, but this also happened with a OnePlus One
Goto setting - display then turn off adaptive setting. If your brightness bar can change that means your le pro sensor is working.

Thanks, but, I've tried that. I think the sensor is bad. I installed Sensors Multitool https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wered.sensorsmultitool on the Le Pro3 and my old Galaxy S6. When I compare them, side-by-side, my S6 is showing much higher lux numbers.
So, just sitting them next to each other on the table the S6 is saying 303lx vs the Le Pro3 showing 124lx. I'm going to test my HTC One M8, when I get home, to see if it compares to either phone.
I need help too uppp
