Hey everyone, I made a Discord server for discussion/tech support/news! Talked to some folks in the Telegram and they said it would be a good idea to post it here, so feel free to join! You don't need an account, and think of it like IRC with multiple text channels and voice channels.

I have used Andchat and Androirc and other Android irc clients. I can join simple channels such as /join #help. There is a room I am trying to get to that has hyphens in it. Such as #I-need-help. If i join it, I am the only member but from /list i can see the channel has 20 members in it?
Does anyone know what the issue is? Could it be android itself? I am on a Google Nexus 7 running stock jellybean and the most recent version of the irc clients.

You might want to share your app on forums which deal with services like chat roulette, or in chat forums themselves. People who tend to often make use of chat forums might be interested in downloading your app.

Q: What are usernames? How do I get one?
You can set up a public username on Telegram. It then becomes possible for other users to find you by that username — you will appear in contacts search under ‘global results’. Please note that people who find you will be able to send you messages, even if they don't know your number. If you are not comfortable with this, we advise against setting up a username in Telegram.
Usernames and search by username are supported in most of the official apps — you can set up a username in Settings.

Q: What can I use as my username?
You can use a-z, 0-9 and underscores. Usernames are case-insensitive, but Telegram will store your capitalization preferences (e.g. Telegram and TeleGram is the same user). The username must be at least 5 characters long.

Please use the telegram beta app if you would like to chat, I personally made the mistake of upgrade the group to a supergroup and screwed over the chat. I personally feel accountable and deeply sorry.

We seem to have one for WhatsApp and google hangouts.
I personally don't like hangouts and don't use WhatsApp . Me and a whole bunch of people use telegram for conversations so I figured a nexus 6 chat would be cool.
