Need to recover a lock screen password - Samsung Galaxy Tab E Questions & Answers

Hi All,
I work in an organisation. Recently some of our hardware(worth in several thousands $) were stolen. I have doubt on one guy. Asked him to submit his Samsung Galaxy Tab to check his conversation with other guys. He submitted the tab but says he forgot his lock screen password. Is there any help I can get from the members of this forum to recover the password?

How to remove security code from a hermes/Swisscom?
It's easy... Give phone back to it's rightful owner, security lock removed!
If your talking about SIM locks where you need a PUK code3 call your carrier and ask them what it is.
Next time please give more explanation on the nature of the problem as there are different security locks... Since the others have covered the most basic i will cover a different one... If you are part of a company exchange then you might want to talk to you IT about the security settings as they may need to change your password policy!

Tee hee hee
No, seriously...
I understand what he's asking. I've got a corporate IT department that is blackberry biased. I've tried to get BBC to work for days and I get the same problem several other people are experiencing.
Frankly, MS direct push is probably a better solution BUT my IT department has a 5 minute, strong password policy that locks up my phone when it's not in use. This policy does not apply to BB and I'm not entirely sure why it should lock the entire device (I can answer the phone, but can't dial out without entering a password.)
The other problem is that deleting the email synch leaves the policy in place and I've had to hard reset the device to get rid of it.
Is there any way to override the policy once it's been passed down? I'm new to the device AND to blackberry. I think this is probably the better answer, but I can't seem to make it work.
Thanks,
mick

hi guys, i wouldn't post this if it wasn't absolutely necessary.
i've tried requesting the activation key using the microsoft chat service without success. i think i must have gone through 6 representatives who have all either asked me to contact microsoft singapore or require an imei number from me before they are willing to entertain me. i have also tried contacting microsoft singapore, and they requested that i scan a receipt as proof of purchase.
it's been pretty frustrating that i haven't been able to get one for about 4 days and so i humbly request help from you kind forumers out there. if anybody could help me get a key i would be eternally grateful!
thank you in advance

Did you try the email route?
Btw 4 days is nothing. Some have been hunting an activation code for much longer.
My question is why don't you just try and give them your imei number? worse comes to worse they'll just tell you that your phone is a hd7... i mean just try don't be scare.
Try the UK

Seriously, I still dont get why people have problems with getting an activation code. I got my first one on the first try. Then when my sd card got messed up and I did a hard reset, I realised I didnt save the activation key. So I called them again and got another one, just like that. (Being in the US mighta helped though)

They're starting to catch on and ask for valid wp7 imei's or proof of purchases most of the time now, even for us in the US. I just got a second code yesterday and I had to give a HD7 imei to get it. When I called for my first code the day the port was released, I had no problem and it was easy... didn't need imei.

How to get into a locked Samsung galaxy note 4

My friend recently died of a drug overdose and his mom wants to get into his phone. We have tried every password combination we could and the phone has not erased itself. Can anyone help us to figure out the password and get into the phone?

You can't. Not unless someone knows a way to get into his gmail. If you're just wanting to get recent pictures he's taken then you might be able to remove the SD card if he put one in it so she can have them for memories. But that's only if he didn't encrypt the SD card. You'd have to put the card into a card reader and put it in a laptop with a card reader.

You can use dr. Ketan's lockscreen security bypass .
It works like charm.
It resets the security to swipe unlock.
But this has be tested on custom roms or atleast it requires a rooted firmware , cause the file has to be flashed via custom recovery .
This is the file :

I did almost forget another option. The phone is probably not rooted. But if you took his carrier sim card out of the phone and put it in another phone that isn't locked and then go to www.gmail.com the right below the sign in area it will say "find my account" click on that. Then select the option to use phone number to recover account. Type in his phone number and have it send a text or call. You will now get the text or call on the new phone. Then follow the steps after you get his email to go back to gmail again and use the forgot password option to text you a reset link. "BUT BE WARNED! I THINK GOOGLE WILL LOCK THE HIS PHONE FOR 3 DAYS AFTER A PASSWORD RESET" Then after them 3 days have passed it will allow you to log in with the new password you made.

P.s. if he's using a pattern or a pin I think you have to get the pattern or pin wrong a certain amount of times before it will ask you to login with gmail credentials instead. And dare I say if this is of a more important matter of finding out something legal through his phone, I really hate to say this but if he is still at the morgue or funeral home he may have registered his finger print through the phones finger print scanner. Which you could then test with his fingers. Sorry didn't want to say that. But them are the only two ways I know.
Mate sorry for your loss

Forgot email associated with Huawei P9 Lite

Hello.
My friend lately had some issues with her P9 Lite so she made a hard reset. After she done it, she realized that she do not remember what email was associated with her phone. Now she can't pass registration menu because she is being asked for original email address. What can she do to be able to insert new email instead of lost one?
We both tried to recover email address by putting phone number but she can't remember any of the help questions.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
What e-mail are you talking about? You can always pass device setup without entering e-mails etc.
No I can not. I get the request to input phone owner's email. But even when I do that I get the message that email is incorrect. I have flashed new system but still it does not reset. I think that phone is locked(Factory Reset Protection) what else can I do?
I tried few youtube methods to bypass FRP but all failed(share/assist). If some one know any new method feel free to PW me.
Best Regards
Ok, I found a solution which worked for me. So topic closed.

S8 Lockscreen Question

Hi All,
A good friend of mine recently lost his wife to a very sudden illness, He approached me this morning with a question about her S8. The phone is locked with a PIN number which he doesn't know. Is there anyway to get into the phone? He want's to be able to retrieve any pictures & files that were not stored on the SD Card.
I suggested he take the phone to a local Samsung Service Center and explain his situation but I said I would ask here first to see if anyone can offer any advice.
Regards
Richard

If your friend has access to samsung or google account that was linked to her s8, he should be able to unlock her device with the "find my mobile" utility samsung provides. if its a google account, "find your phone" can set a desired password on the device and then just simply enter the password and unlock it.
also sorry for your friends loss, may she rest high up
