LeEco financial woes getting worse - LeEco Le Max 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

Being sued by Vizio and delaying payment to their Chinese staff, which is nearly always a precursor to bankruptcy. Very doubtful that we will see any more official updates for our device I think.

The people who actually built our phones are yet to be paid. Well done LeEco.

No wonder our phone so cheap. All parts are gotten with just 40% of the payment to some of the supplier. That is why our phone price is just half or three quarter of the nearest competitors that is OP3 or Xiaomi.

Yes, I know. It seems no one in the market is interested in taking over LeEco Mobile part.

It seems LeEco won't build any Smartphone in the next future with new CEO in charge.

Samsung's indicated in the past that all versions of its ubiquitous Galaxy S would be getting Froyo upgrades in harmony (more or less) -- and it had also indicated that those updates would be happening in September. Well, you know how these things tend to go: plans change, bugs crop up, engineers go on vacation at inopportune times, and delays happen. On that note, Samsung Mobile's Spanish division is now saying that the Galaxy S will be getting Froyo in "late October" through the Kies desktop app, though we don't know whether España speaks for the rest of the world -- it's entirely possible that this is a Spain-specific announcement. More on this one as we get it, but for now, we wouldn't count on many (if any) of these bad boys getting official updates in the next few days.

compared to WM6 phone, android is the s$#!!

I've had the Evo for 3 months now. Compared to my prior "top of the line WM6" phone, there's just no comparison. This system borders on miraculous for all it can do and its flexibility. I'm just so impressed and thrilled to own one.
There's some hiccups. I've had to return 2 and am on my 3rd phone - but so what, these things wrock.
Appreciate our huge community of devs and programmers who enhance the experience.

Well its not surprising considering WM6 is a slight upgrade from WM5, which came out almost 6 years ago!
Microsoft really dropped the ball on windows mobile. They never upgraded the interface, even after the iphone came out, which pretty much guaranteed their decline.
Sent from my device.

Official Xiaomi Mi Box - International Shipping

Found this over at Gizmofresh. This is cheaper than the sale price a few days ago and is only $5 more than the US MSRP price so for those of us that can't get one from the US for some reason great its a good deal, and considering you'll pay more to the freight forwarding companies and most likely wont get hit with customs/taxes it might make this a good deal. This is the replacement for the Google Nexus Box, comes with Google TV, not to be confused by the other Xiaomi boxes that come with Android. UI is more suited for TV and comes with English content along with support from google. Use coupon code OZXMIA to get the price down to $99.72 ($74.99 US)

Anyone trading in via the OP website?

Just received an email announcing the OP5 can now be purchased immediately.
They are offering a trade in service. When you purchase a new OP5.
I have been offered £100 for my "mint" OP3. Think I'll pass... Can quite easily get in the region of £250-£300 if sold privately.

Thanks for pointing out, for a brand new looking oneplus one I only get €20, a joke, that's what it is.
£100 for a OP3, are they insane?

Galaxy S10 5G explosion occurred in Korea

One of the users of the Samsung smartphone community in Korea claimed that their Galaxy S10 5G had ignited itself.
The user wrote to the community, "The product itself has been ignited for less than a week after purchasing.", "Nevertheless, Samsung did not exchange or refund," he said.
A Samsung representative said, "We collected the product and finished the appearance analysis and X-ray analysis. However, there was a clear sign of the external cause and we could not find the product defect." There are still no other consumers who have experienced this problem.

External cause? Like the guy set it on fire? I think that would be pretty easy to determine.
HAHA:silly:
This is china fake news
Also, these phones do NOT explode! Not one single phone has EVER exploded.
The batteries expel gasses and may produce sparks and flames.
But that is NOT an explosion. BIG difference between say a road flare and a stick of dynamite.
