Samsung History
Do you remember the Note 5 Korean variant that included UX? (variants L/K/S) And... then UX was part of the Note 7. The Note 7 FE is very likely to be the "testing device" for the upcoming Note 8. BixbyHome is inside priv-app... probably to be later activated via update by Samsung. This is the latest...

[REQUEST] SM-T11x/SM-T217S Accuweather widget port to Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211

Hi i am posting on behalf of a friend who has a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 which we currently updated to official stock 4.2.2 Kitkat. During our experience before with older galaxy devices particularly tab 2's, when the device updates to a new android version, the weather widget goes with it but to our dismay that did not happen with his tab 3 7.0 and instead retained the old widget which he feels kinda outdated. So in line with this may we kindly request someone on helping us on a step-by-step how to port the widgets used by Galaxy Tab 3 Lite/Neo (SM-T11X) or the Sprint Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T217S) into my friend's Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T211) Kitkat updated and the files needed for such port. Thanks!

Can I flash Samsung Note 4 (SM-N910C) stock rom to a Samsung Note 4 (SM-N910S)??

Hi,
I've recently bought a korean version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910S) and I am wondering if I can flash a stock rom of a different model Note 4 (SM-N910C) to it to remove all the korean apps and stuffs..
If that's not possible, is there any other way to convert the korean version to international version?
I'm a green bean when it comes to smartphones, go easy on me please~:victory::victory:

Porting Note 5 with Nougat

Hi,i wanted to ask all developers rom,if it is possible to do a Note 5 porting with Nougat?
Nogat ports from N5/S7/S8.
Nope, because S5 (G900F) didn't recive official 7.0 update.:crying:
6.0.1 ports uses drivers from official 6.0.1 update for S5 (G900F).
Sorry, why not?Note 3(SM-N9005)has stopped at Lollipop 5.0.2, and yet have porting of Note 5,S7 Edge and Note 7 with 6.0.1 Marshmallow where is the problem?I did not understand why you wrote S5(SM-G900F) when i wrote Note 3(SM-N9005),you can explain it to me is somewhat confused.Thank you!
All 6.0.1 ports (N5, N7, S7) for Note 3 LTE uses drivers from 6.0.1 for S5, because S5 (G900F) have similar characteristics. SnapDragon 801 is the overclocked version of SnapDragon 800, so they have compatibility between them. Now you understand?
And Note 3 LTE has stopped at 5.0, not 5.0.2...
I'm no software expert, but I am assuming he means that even with all the Note 7 and S7 ports, you are NOT using Note 7 and S7 drivers to make those "ports" work on the Note 3. The Note 3 has similar if not identical chips (Snapdragon and Adreno) to the S5. The S5 got an official Android 6.0.1 which you can easily move some files here and there to port it to the Note 3. I ASSUME that is what he means, but I could be WAY OFF. You can't just take a Touch Wiz Nougat ROM from the S8 or the S7 and port it to the Note 3 just as easily. You can always try RR or LineageOS which is just pure stock.

Galaxy S7, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy Tab S3 Android 8.0 Oreo update being developed

Samsung is now done developing the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+. The beta program ended over a week ago and it’s only a matter of time before this update is released to the public. We can now confirm along with our friends over at GalaxyClub that Samsung has started developing the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 (2017) as well as the Galaxy Tab S3.
Samsung is yet to confirm precisely when it’s going to release the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S8. Even if it’s rolled out in the coming days, some users in select parts of the world may have to wait until the end of February to get this update.
The next wave of Oreo updates from Samsung
The company can now focus its attention on getting the update ready for some of its other devices. It’s already known that work on the Oreo update for the Galaxy Note 8 is already underway. We can now confirm that work is also underway to develop the update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 (2017) and the Galaxy Tab S3.
It’s going to be a while, though, before Samsung rolls out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the aforementioned devices. While some Galaxy S6 owners have been hoping that their handsets will receive Oreo, we have not seen any evidence as yet that would suggest that it will get Oreo. We’ve already told you that it would be wise not to hold your breath for Oreo on the Galaxy S6.
We’ll update you about Samsung’s Android 8.0 Oreo update plans as and when new information comes in.
