I think you need to get the stock recovery image and flash it from the ROM image in the "convert cn to ww" thread.

OnePlus 2 Stock Recovery

Can someone please post here stock recovery.img for OPT im now on TWRP but i want to install H2OS OTA normally.
Thank you so much
You may have chosen to keep the twrp recovery on your device from beeing overwritten by the stock recovery. This is done in twrp by renameing the "/bin/recovery.sh" (afaik).
Before installation OTA update checks for all checksums of files it will patch. So you will not only need the stock recover but at least to replace the recovery.sh with the original one.
Much easier way is to flash 2.0.2 full (not the OTA!), flash 2.1 OTA, flash SU and reboot in one session from twrp . I have done this and it worked without a problem.
Just make sure your battery is fully charged before
I'm getting an updated binary error. Started getting it in TWRP after flashing a custom kernel. Could you post your stock recovery? Or the stock kernel? (preferably the latter I suppose)
I've tried digging into the full 2.0.1 and 2.1 ROMs to find them, but I can't track them down...
Yes,i need the stock recovery
Well I need stock recovery because of hydrogen OS hope someone have it..
All you need is recovery paparapapa ahahahah
I managed somehow to have back stock recovery
When i flashed TWRP and then Gapps for Hydrogen OS it asked me to stop stock recovery to flash or something so i press dont stop, and voila im back on stock recovery

Sideload Marshmallow from Lolli 1.17.40.1106

Hi all,
needing help upgrading to MM.
I'm stuck on 1.17.40.1106 since I unlock the bootloader I can't receive further updates.
I've read that to be able to upgrade to MM you need to have .1531 firmware but since I'm stuck, can I sideload MM 21.40.1220 from Lolli 1.17.40.1106?
I have TWRP installed but not rooted.
First if you want sideload u must in "STOCK recovery"
And Seccond if you want update to MM u must have final firmware of LL. Go to asus.com check ur firmware version, If you are using last LL u just download MM firmware copy to sdcard and go to recovery-->apply update from sd card-->choose firmware MM and wait it update
.....
Dont flash firmware of asus.com if u use custom recovery it will brick your phone....
Thanks Val.
I'm having status 7 error both in stock recovery and twrp, another reason why Im stuck.
What are my options?
anyone?

you have twrp but no root? how does that work?
in any case, the Terms of Service of the Asus unlock tool says you will not be able to get OTA update after using. We have confirmed that the unlock tool communicates with Asus when you use it - we highly suspect it sends your phone information to Asus to prevent official OTA.
I would root phone and install ROM.
check this out for issue of installing official MM update with TWRP:

Thanks Eric.
I was reading the links you gave and have this questions:
1. Is it true that if I use custom recovery (TWRP) to sideload official firmware my phone will be bricked?
2. If I do "fastboot erase system" and flash full official firmware such as 1.17.1531, will it erase the custom recovery and go back to stock?
This way I can manually upgrade to MM once in stock recovery.

1)i think twrp will not flash the official firmware, like if you downloaded it from Asus or got the ota .zip.
2) i do not know that command but it scares me to look at it.
in the thread i linked to, was answer to y question about flashing the official MM stock image.

Revert to Stock Recovery

Hello,
I see my Moto G4 has a System update today, but I have installed a custom Recovery (TeamWin), how do I go back to stock recovery, so I can install the update.
Thanks,
Shannon
You need the stock recovery.img. You can get it downloading the same ROM your device is running. After that, start your device in fastboot mode, copy the recovery.img that came with the ROM that you downloaded before and paste inside ABD folder and finally write this command in CMD:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Done!

You've got a couple of options:
1a) Download a stock recovery from shrep's site https://moto.shreps.fr/?dir=Moto G4 (athene)/recovery Try to ensure the recovery you download matches your region's build number (MPJ24.139-23.4 and MPJ24.139-63 are MM recoveries, I think for EMEA regions and maybe for India too for 139-63, whereas NPJ25.75-2 is a Nougat soak test recovery).
1b)Flash in TWRP (I recall in TWRP, under Install, there's an option to flash images and you'll want to flash this as a recovery image.) Reboot to recovery to ensure the stock recovery doesn't get overwritten.
2) If you're not sure whether the recoveries on shrep's site are suitable for your device/region, you may wish to directly upgrade to Nougat using the fastboot 93-14 Nougat ROM file here:https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-xt1640-43-athene-npj25-93-t3549369 This will flash a stock Nougat ROM, v7.0, Dec 2016 security patch, which appears to be the current global build deployed (and likely would be the same build as if you updated via OTA). Of course, this process may erase your data so back up, and will remove TWRP as it'll flash a stock recovery onto your device.

ZE552KL need stock recovery for ASUS_Z012D-WW-14.2020.1703.28

Hello,
My device is an Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL with TWRP 3.1.0.
I need the original stock recovery for ASUS_Z012D-WW-14.2020.1703.28 (Android N).
Is it possible to build it from the firmware?
Otherwise, where can I find it?
Thank you in advance for your help.
nobody can help me
Are you running on 1703.28 currently?
Do a TWRP backup and then dirty flash the stock image on top, it shouldn't change any data or settings but will replace recovery (happened to me when I updated from 1701).
I'm curious, why do you want to go back to stock recovery? I'll never go back, lol
Edit: if anyone with the stock 1703.28 firmware and root can run an adb shell and make a backup of it using " dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p59 of=/sdcard/recovery.bin" and upload it.
I am currently rooted and to install the latest firmware stock, I have to do it from stock recovery because it does not work from TWRP.
After that, I will reinstall TRWP
The stock recovery can be downloaded from asus site :
https://www.asus.com/fr/Phone/ZenFone-3-ZE552KL/HelpDesk_Download/
Or direct download link : (1.8 Gb)
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE552KL/UL-ASUS_Z012D-WW-14.2020.1703.28-user.zip
@olivierzx
This is the full firmware, but stock recovery is not available.
Unless you know a way to build it from the firmware.

You do not need stock recovery to install the stock rom.
Just edit the update script, see this

OP5 won't accept flashed recoveries

Hello everyone.
I can't flash any recovery via fastboot, I can only flash two recovery files one is the original twrp and second is the original op5 recovery. those cannot install the new ota.
If I try to flash any other recovery file, it enters the qualcomm boot recovery mode, white led and nothing else on phone and a qual 9008 port on pc.
What should I do? My brain kinda melted, so I might forgot to add more infos.

The questions you need to answer:
Is your bootloader unlocked?
Do you have a custom recovery installed?
Is your storage encryped?
What's your actual rom?
What do you want to do(installing ota from android ota menu isn't working for you or why you don't use that method)?
Please give EXACT file names of the files you're trying to flash!
Is your bootloader unlocked? Yes, although I locked then unlocked again for trying.
Do you have a custom recovery installed? yes, I tried both
Is your storage encryped? probably no, I wiped everything but before it wasn't necessary to enter a unlock code or fingerprint etc.
What's your actual rom? It was on oreo, now I don't have a rom lol
What do you want to do(installing ota from android ota menu isn't working for you or why you don't use that method)?
Installing from Ota wasn't successful, sideload does not work, installing custom recoveries result in qualcomm boot (black screen with white led)
only twrp working is this untouched twrp but it has not able to flash the new pie.. https://twrp.me/oneplus/oneplus5.html
twrp from the clockworkmod not able to boot.
My intent is to flash new pie and root. I can't able to flash the pie's original beta recovery too. https://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amazonaws.com/recovery.img
Also I can't mount vendor too I don't know if this causes the problem or not....

Ok, so it seems you have an old Oreo stock oos rom before without vendor partition and trying to flash an pie rom and pie recovery, but still on Oreo firmware that's not possible cause newer recoveries need pie firmware which comes along with oos pie roms and you're missing the vendor partition which comes with 5.1.4.
Your starting point is the same as mentioned here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/help/qa-help-thread-newbies-post-t3624656/post79251968
OOS 5.1.4 then you have a vendor partition, then you can install one of those stock Pie oos roms.
You can install oos 5.1.4 with stock recovery or with siankatabg's or with this one
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UlTftbe6wooAs4Fp0cjwXlOKmfQHgdfL/view?usp=drivesdk
Then you just need to follow the instructions for the stock oos or beta rom.
If you have any concerns or further questions, please feel free to ask here
