US996 Rent a center lock - USB debugging without access to phone - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, I hope this is not ilegal or something... Well the thing is I got scammed on eBay buying and unlocked lg v20 us996, I already opened a dispute in PayPal but in the meantime I'm trying to fix this...
I've read some "solutions" but it's not at all explained so I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing works. My bootloader is locked and I don't have enabled OEM unlock nor USB debugging . So my question is, is there any way to activate these two other than in the phone itself ? (I can't do it the normal way since the RAC message blocks absolutely everything on the phone)
Could someone that has done this before walk me through this? I would extremely appreciate it!!!
Thanks in advance people.

Are you able to disable the RAC APP system side, and then reboot to see if they were lazy and didn't disable the usb debugging as well.

What do you mean by disabling system side bro? If it's something I have to do inside the phone i absolutely can't since this RAC messages blocks the phone and I can't access it because it requests ab4 digit PIN

No bro I cant do anything on the phone, So i need help to unlock the bootloader from adb or somethig...

I dont know if this trick works on LG but on Samsung when I had a S6 I posted a fix for this somewhere on XDA where you put the RAC fix on a external thimb drive and plug it into your usb port on your phone after factory resetting it and it will popup the file manager and aftwr you install the RAC apk which is just a shortcut to settings you tick OEM unlock in Dev Mode and then root the phone. Again I don't know if it works still but worth a try.

This is weird, I literally just went through this same exact situation. I contacted RAC using the number provided on the lock screen, I explained the situation and they asked for my IMEI, they looked it up and they confirmed it wasn't supposed to be sold to me, they then instructed me to bring it into my local RAC location where they would buy the phone back from me, after I did this I contacted ebay and explained everything that I had done, they said as long as I was able to provide proof that this incident happened and the phone was "stolen" (sold to me without authorization from the RAC it was being leased from) that they would fully refund me.
I went back and contacted the RAC that the phone belonged to and asked them to fax over (to my local RAC) information proving the phone was being leased from them and was not supposed to be sold to me, they were happy to do this for me. I provided the documentation as well as pictures of it next to the phone to ebay and got a full refund (on top of the buyback from RAC for the phone) I then bought a NEW unlocked v20 from Brandsmart USA for 399$ it was about what I paid on ebay (I actually came out ahead because I got a full refund from ebay + a 150$ buyback from RAC)
if you have any questions feel free to PM me, I'll gladly help in any way that I can, people who do this are scum

I have a Verizon v20 with rent a center lock, if anyone can give me the solution, I'm willing to pay. Please pm.

FRP Lock - Remove/Bypass Assistance Requested

So I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, or rather my friend does but he brought it to me for some work. That being said he has about 20 different Gmail accounts with about 20 different passwords and he doesn't know which one belongs to which and I factory reset the phone part of discovering which one was the master account. In any case I try to use Chimera to do an FRP unlock but unfortunately because it is on Android 7.0 it did not let me do this. I also try to roll it back to 6.0 or 6.1 rather butt same.
I read a few different online guides and one of them was on how to do the network unlock by doing a bypass of the Wi-Fi to get around the initial settings and then from there you open up the terms and policies with the long press and allows you to open up the app manager in you go to settings there. The problem is is that unfortunately that seems be disabled on some security update to happen for 6.1 on one of the OTAs at some point in time
I saw there were few different tools out there but the one that I was able to read the guide on seem to not work at all because when I hit the button the response I got was green but the diamond ever popped up if that makes any sense. In any case it's 2017 about halfway through the year and it seems that every FRP unlock has changed modestly since 2015 near the end of the year.
Is there a current method on how to refresh that are peel off whether it is the change out Sims 2 loaded if in firmware to do something. But the phone is not even to root it yet but I intend to do so after we get into the phone directly. Please provide any assistance if you have it.
Thus, uh... Really sounds like your "friend" stole this phone ?
No. If we provide you any solutions even if what you said is true, other people with stolen phones can bypass the very measure that Samsung incorporated to disable stolen phones. If it is truly your 'friend's device, tell him ANY Google account he used with the phone will get rid of the frp lock. It doesn't have to be a specific one.

Not true at all.
It has to be the account that was logged into at the time of the reset. You can easily link your Google account to the phone and it still won't allow you to use your account to open it back up.
Not a troll either but in about same place this guy is just mine is legit
So basically this is what has got me messing around with flashing and trying to mess with the firmware also different settings on the android system. However so like the previous user which actually does sound like his "friend " did steal it. This one is a S7 I actually purchased in la. It is not a nightmare of a drive but for $200 it almost is. Im almost about to sell the phone on ebay. I immediately after purchase spoke with t-mobile and was told phone was good just it was sim locked. I would need to sign up with there service. The phone was supposedly frp free and sim unlocked for any carrier in the americas and europe. Very far from the case. I put my personal sim card in for att get the same network id message or the puk when i enter it wrong have tried even new att sim cards. Att is offering me the same deal but said to prepay for 90 days. I am not sure how this makes sense since how is unlocking the sim also going to unlock the google account from previous owner??? I keep trying different methods with odin and smart synch. Any other random apps basically and best I do is make a paper weight or can get to my imei on a legit dial pad however I try to go to even change to imei from previous phone which is still active just broken screen but still have the same issue. I am thinking at this point mabye t mobile and att are the hassle here and half the videos have helped me about 10% from youtube and different docs. I have been going on trial and error for about 2 weeks now. Called t mobile back last night same story just due to all the the theft but she again checked my imei on the device and said it was all good still to get back to them when ready to commit to service. yeah.... right. But Im trying to avoid just throwing the thing the next time I brick it or sell it on ebay. I am doing everything correctly and all is legit. Even trying to transfer my other phones info if needed. Obviously it is still sim locked and has frp through google. Please help any ideas. I am about to probably throw it before I ever get the chance to sell it is that frustrating. One thing I cannot get to work correctly is rooting. I even went loaded apps on sd card went into apply updates or data from sd card and reads folders but not the program im trying to use for rooting. I have done multiple times on many devices. I dont know if t mobile is just like jumping through hoops or am i just skipping some small detail somewhere in the process. IDK HELP PLEASE ANY FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED. I AM USING THE NOUGHAT FIRMWARE, I TRIED ON MARSHMELLOW AND EVERYTHING GOES THROUGH THEN AT END GETS CAUGHT UP WHEN I GO BACK TO UPDATE BACK TO CURRENT FIRMWARE.

Nothing I read stated that you have, or even know, what an FRP Locked device [is]. I'll skip badgering you with pointless questions & just jump straight to giving you solutions:
1) Flash & boot into TWRP Recovery > Wipe the IntrnlStrg/Cache/Dalvik/System (system is key > Flash stock firmware
2) Find my Galaxy S7 & S7e FRP Bypass post here on XDA (for advanced users)
3) Do more research
I'm not trying to sound like an asshole so I apologize if I come off strong - I'm [almost literally] sick of reading all these f*cking crybabieson XDA, or other sites, begging for somebody to solve their problem instead of doing their own research & trial error runs. I have successfully bypassed FRP on 30+ different devices from different carriers with different security patch updates on Lollipop-Nougat OS by using various different methods that are(n't) common (S7 included)
Bypassing FRP is Elementary school difficult. This sh¡t is checkers, not chess. My spiel is done with
Good luck.

I have a similar model that I got off of Craiglist:
- Samsung SM-G900T
- completely up to date
- freshly re-imaged and FRP locked
- no soft FRP bypass works (probably updated to the absolute most current version of Android)
- not detected by Odin/Octopus (appears USB connectivity is disabled - it won't even show up when plugged in, anywhere).
- doesn't appear that USB debugging was enabled before the reset
- ADB and download mode just sit on "downloading/looking for filename" - I assume both options are being blocked from the USB connection, so there's no activity on the PC/Odin/tools when I use these options
The only activity when plugging in is that on the phone it goes 'blip blip' and has a little graphic over the USB port.
I liked your suggestion of do more research but this is stumping me, mostly because the USB appears to have 0 life other than to charge the phone.
Only thing I have not tried it OTG cable apk but I'm not hopeful. Friend is giving me a cable when I see him in a few days.

Open to anything! A different came (not new) doesn't do anything when I plug it in. The cable that came with it charges it and is detected by phone, but not by PC.
I'll go buy a new cable and see it it does anything. Meanwhile I'll try all the previous versions of Odin. I also suspect the most recent version might not be doing the trick for some reason (having rooted and flashed about a dozen phones on prior versions).
It completely boots either Oreo 8.0 or 8.1 to the Welcome setup wizard every time. None of the soft tricks get me any further than the FRP.
Want me to post a picture or anything? Download bootloader or FRP screen? I've also ordered an OTG cable to try out the apk work around.
edit: also tried jodin on a mac mini and odin on a different laptop. I have an older laptop I may try too.

Sorry - I used an S5 for years and miquoted you the model. It's an SM-G930T (T-Mobile S7) The drivers on both systems are all up to date as well. It's 0x0, qualcomm, k1 s3 if that helps.
Again, sorry for PM, just curious on your thoughts with this one. Also wondering if you know if Download Mode would supercede any FRP or security settings. I keep trying various versions of Odin while connected in Download Mode - no COM port getting assigned.

I got ahead of myself and still need assistance.
I've managed to fix a few things (it would fail constantly in odin and result in a failed firmware screen upon restart).
Current situation:
- USB debugging was not enabled
- FRP is locked on Android 7.x
- I can upgrade/downgrade the firmware, but upon restart it pops up "Erasing" then "Installing updates" then "Erasing" so its basically undoing any security unpatching I'm try to do. Currently it's got G930TUVU4BQG5 July 2017 firmware, but the security patches to prevent RealTime, SideSync, Smart Switch and other dialer programs etc seem in place.
- I can put a COMBINATION firmware which gets me into a factory binary, but I don't see anything in here and have to reflash back to G930TUVU4BQG5
- Spamming RealTime to repeat dial a number shows me the traditional "calling" screen, but bluetooth, end call, etc are all greyed out.
- I have no SIM installed.
This guy did an FRP unlock (most up to date security patch) in 10 minutes. EXCELLENT service.

how to turn off LG G6 retail Demo mode

Hi all,
I recently bought G6 from kijiji, the seller was selling cheap bcz of the phone is in a retail demo.
I know I can't use SIM in this phone but is there any way at least I can disable or remove "Retail Demo"
so that I can use for music and pics
I can only reboot the phone with "Power" and "Vol-Down" since I can't turn off the phone I can't get into recovery mode so that I can flash factory "KDZ"
please help
Thanks in advance
That is stolen, it would only have a retail mode with a password when stores receive it to set up the demo on them
There's a demo mode in Developer Options. Not sure if that really does anything.
Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
Finally I am able to get in to download mode, but I can't flash kdz it giving error "required information not found" contact your administrator.
Any idea?
I have tried "Demo mode“ in developer mode but that was already off . i turned it on & off but that didn't help.
It's European model H870, is it rootable?
There's no way to root the device. Unless you can flash factory software you are likely screwed.
Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
will it work if I can flash factory software ?
Unless there is some hardware blocking flashing other firmware, in theory, if the phone root or fastboot is achieved you might be able to. It's also waiting/guessing game at the moment.

A guy on kijiji flash G6 with "Orange" ROM via octoplus box, demo mode is clear and he managed to write IMEI as well but the issue is since its missing .qnc file I can't connect to mobile network.
dose any once has .qnc file for H870?

As stated before. Stolen phone. Manufacturers are taking precautions to ensure demo phones aren't used in case they get stolen. I don't think you'll be able to make it work
Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
You seem to have convinced yourself it's a stolen phone with no proof whatsoever.
Just stating you don't think it will work doesn't help the OP so it's pointless.
@sanjayjp99
Sorry bud but I haven't a clue what you can do. Hopefully soon someone will have the magic you seek :good:
as far as ive seen on samsungs, demos actually miss even the gsm hardware antenna and antenna jack. Other than that, factory demos have 2 or 3 security layers, so you dont come anywhere even if
you break the first password.
Dont know about lg, but it could be the same...

I know about Samsung devices, I bought this only for music and pics but so far I am able to flash 'orange' ROM and write IMEI since modem is present in the device. Only thing I need is .qnc file.

My only advice.. hire 6 big guys with crowbars and go get your money back, youve been ripped off friend, sorry

Look through the apps installed, there should be one that looks like a pink and white lemonade stand called lg retail or something like that. Open it and it should ask you for a password. The password is 103729. Then go to the settings scroll all the way down to uninstall. It will ask for a password again but this time it will be L310MC570G. Let it do its thing, do a factory reset and clear the cache then you can set it up as a new phone
Edit: That is assuming whoever put the phone in retail mode didn't change the password after initial setup. Those are the default passwords, most places just leave the default. Also the second password is case sensitive

Could be, then again might just be a store that closed and sold off their demos, or even just an idiot who had the phone before OP who accidently turned on retail mode to test something and didn't know you needed a different password to turn it back off. Not here to have an ethical debate, just sharing info.

I seem to have an issue, on my LG V20 H918 I order an unlock code. I figured out a method to make it prompt for the code and bypass the T-Mobile unlocking app all together, however, here's the issue.
I received Three codes in with the markers
NCK:8565570142041856
SPCK:9791172928931644
NSCK:2448289909387735
NOTE: Codes included because they do not identify me or my device directly.
First I entered NCK and got "Network unlock successful" and went on assuming that was the end to it, however, after rebooting it prompts me for the Network Unlock Pin again. After entering the same (NCK) I was this time told the unlock was unsuccessful, so I tried the other codes provided all with the same Network unlock request unsuccessful response.
So my ultimate question is, what the you suppose the first success did and how can I finish the job? If it weren't for me figuring out how to access manual code entry, I wouldn't have spent money on this code.
How I accomplished bypassing the unlock app and getting a unlock prompt was by flashing AOKP and booting with a unauthorized SIM card, I'm just confused because what did that first successful unlock do? Why would it prompt me for the unlock code again and not accept the first successful code. I'm not sure if my device is unlocked or not at this point considering that, is it possible that the initial successful unlock enabled another band to be used in an unlocked state or even unlocked the device just the app does another step I'm failing to do manually to finalize this unlock.
I'd appreciate your opinions and advice in this situation, I personally feel like this might lead to something or either I'm running into a dead end another individual has also.
If you pay for it on like an installment plan you have to pay it off completely before you can unlock it. They keep it locked so you don't just do a promo and leave to someone like AT&T.

I'm not actually sure what the status of this device was, I bought it 3rd party from an Ebay seller. Any speculation on what the first "Unlock request successful" did if anything?
No idea unlocking phones isn't my specialty. But possibly the phone is blacklisted which is making it hard to unlock. Honestly what I'd do is take it to a T-Mobile store and ask them what's up.

Tried giving them a call, they appear to get very rude when they hear the word "unlock" which is sad, I take it they don't particularly care for people getting device unlocks? She hung up on me and the other agent just completely shut me off, she tried to offer me a contract but no further details which is really irritating.
That's unlike their service. It's possible you called at a bad time. More mid day is when they're as helpful as can be. I would take it to a store if possible and just tell them your situation I've done that before and they bent over backwards for me at my store.
Any news on this?

Unfortunately, nothing more. Still haven't managed to figure out exactly what it did, I did discover that the phone does not have money owed on it.. Not entirely sure what the chock this up to really. I cannot replicate the results to investigate with logcat, I know that my attempts didn't permanently lock my device thankfully.

OnePlus 8 T-Mobile Repair Nightmare

Figured I share my repair experience here as OnePlus has set a new low in my book for customer service. Started when I sent my device (unlocked by T-Mobile) for repair last month. I was given the option of repair or replacement but chose repair so I wouldn't have to unlock again. I received it back about a week later but with no documentation as what the repair was (found out through my calles it was a motherboard replacement. I did notice the SN was the same but the IMEI was different. Used it for 3 days and called T-Mobile to have it unlocked but their system now sees my device as a non-T-Mobile phone and they can't unlock it (and they have tried 4 times since Sept 25th). Over the past few weeks I have conferenced on T-Mobile support with OnePlus support in an attempt to get it unlocked and every time I call it's like starting from scratch with OnePlus. Four times now I've been told to wait 24-48 hours so they can hear back from there repair facility, I've made 14 total calls to check status (they have never called me back once). T-Mobile has been absolutely great and were on the phone with OnePlus with me for over an hour. So for know unless a miracle happens I'm stuck with a phone that can't be network unlocked by any carrier. Looks like the repair facility perhaps used a standard motherboard and flashed the T-Mobile firmware on it from what I can determine. If you need service for a T-Mobile device ALWAYS choose a replacement if you have the option)
Rule #1: Never ever choose repair when replace is an option. XDA is rife with people complaining about repair issues with every phone manufacturer. But I think you know that now. Also, I would hardly fault OnePlus in this situation. Its a simple issue of the IMEI not being in the T-Mobile database. Thats not OnePlus' fault. Thats a T-Mobile issue. IT can be added to there database. Verizon does this but for a completely different reason. But ultimately fault is in the eye of the beholder.
Also, to further support my claim think of it this way... T-Mobile (and Verizon) request the bootloader / SIM lock. If you buy the non carrier version from One Plus this would be a mute point. Again, a T-Mobile issue, not OnePlus. If you really want to get technical fault the US Congress for allowing them to lock in the first place. Ok Ok... Way off on a tangent...
Now... Some questions for you...
Have you ran the IMEI against an IMEI check database to see what kind of device it returns as? I would be curious to see. Another way to find out if its a T-Mobile device is to check the IMEI against your last phone. If the first few digits are the same or different will support your claim of the device being different.
Have you tried to tried to toggle the bootloader unlock switch or is it gray'ed out?
Have you tried popping in another carriers SIM just for giggles?
Lastly, have you tried to unlock it yourself by using the built in unlock program in network settings?
If that fails you may want to consider sending it back to OnePlus again for replacement. I can only assume that you do not have insurance? If you do then you may want to check with them about replacement faulting the IMEI as the issue. Might be a hard sell but I'm sure it could be done.

Same situation here, mine was unlocked did a replacement and it was locked and T-Mobile has no record of it. It took me 17 days to get the replacement and every day I checked the status I get told wait 24-48 hours. Now after I got it I'm told every day to wait 3-5 days for an update. Really one plus?
One plus sucks at anything customer service. Can you not do a warranty through tmobile?
Hi, i have the same problem. I was able to unlock my OP8 the moment I bought it. But after sending my OP8 for repair, it was locked when sent back. I got the error "server 255" when I tried to do a permanent unlock.
I contacted Tmobile and they said I need a valid tmobile account, which I don't:
"One of our mobile device unlock requirements is an active T-Mobile account. Since you don't have one you're going to need the get the unlock via a 3rd party company. Our apologies for this."
I have contacted OP 4 times now. They say they'll escalate my problem to the relevant team.
So how did u ppl solve it? Anyone tried the mtd below:

Thanks.

I hate oneplus with a passion I'm 8 months and still going with an issue they keep BS'n me on
Hi, I would like to post an update. After contacting OP support a few times thru chat, they agree to help me talk to Tmobile directly. I told them I can't use the phone, I'm overseas (really, no joke), and I contacted Tmobile but they refused to help.
After waiting for a few days, my IMEI is whitelisted and I was able to unlock the phone. So I guess if you are persistent enough and tell them tt you've exhausted your options, they will help. So I guess they're still nice ppl (kudos to Sophia!)
Hope someone with similar problem can try what I did.
Just wanted to fan the flames that OnePlus is still up to their BS. I sent my phone to repair the back glass after I recovered from unbricking my phone rooting after the Android 13 OTA. When I get it back, after all these warnings signs something was off I realized when I tried to put my unlock_code.bin and it kept failing that they gave me a new motherboard. Luckily I AM a Tmobile customer, but holy heck, what if I was not? Luckily somehow I was able to get in to get the info to request another code to unlock my bootloader even though I'm still carrier locked.

I just had my op8 repaired back with a motherboard replacement so that it can't unlock the sim as I am not a T mobile customer. I used online chat several times and complained about sim-unlock. Finally, after I gave them both old and new imei and strong complain, they unlocked my sim card. Not a good experience, but the result turned out to be good.

I need help accessing locked phone - 8 Pro

I have a OnePlus 8 Pro that i need to get in to. The phone is mine on my T-Mobile account, i bought it for my brother on his birthday.
2 days ago he committed suicide. No note No explanation nothing. He was the strongest person we all knew. Never showed any weakness.
Even his wife cant understand it. I need to be able to get into the phone. There has to be something in there that shed some light on WHY???
His wife, daughter and I NEED answers. I have a ton of experience rooting and modding phones but i don't know how to get past a lock screen without wiping the phone.
If anybody can help me out i would be forever grateful. I would even pay if that's necessary. I am in so much pain right now over this.
Please help

Sorry to hear this.
If the phones on Android 11 then theres no twrp so there no way to remove the passcode / pin as far as I'm aware.
Here's a guide explaining how to remove a passcode. However I think with an encrypted phone you won't be able to access files even via twrp.
https://forum-xda--developers-com.c...e-hacking/remove-lockscreen-recovery-t3530008
Data recovery companies may be able to help if it's really needed.
Don't advise them as to what's happened just the phone is yours and your brother was using it, don't tell them how important it is or the price may just go up.

Thank you for this info. I will attempt whatever i can.
I will try this and see if it works. I just received a call from the detective and he said they have a device that could do this for us.
I might go that route since there is nothing illegal that he was doing.
was just hoping to do it today as to get it done sooner.
Thank you for the help

As it's Android it'll be possible. But difficult without the right kit..
I'd clarify what the detective wants to see on the device and can you be present for the unlock.

Exactly what i was thinking. I would prefer i am there and they unlock it and hand it straight to me.
I know he wouldn't appreciate anybody not the closest of family getting access and seeing his personal thoughts.

Tbh I wouldn't want anyone looking through my phone is like a treasure trove..
I'd bare that in mind, not everything is meant to be seen. Doesn't mean anything, it's just how we are.
OP, sorry for your loss. That's all I have to offer. RIP.
Just my condolences to you and family
I'm sorry to hear also. May God bless you and family.

As insensitive as this sounds, I am a homicide detective. If he had a fingerprint lock on the phone, you could use his physical fingerprint from his hand prior to burial to unlock the phone. We have used this method several times with success.
Regardless, my condolences to you and yours.

Yeah i was hoping to be able to do just this but since the family members are not very etch savvy, they power cycled the phone off and because of that the first unlock into the system has to be with the numeric password.
I rebuilt his laptop for him a couple months ago so i have the password to get into it. I'm hoping that he saved his email credentials in it. I know that after multiple attempts into android it allows you to change password through the email. This is the last thing i can think to do.
I reached out to OnePlus this morning and the woman who was answering my questions said she had no answers for me. she kept saying i could factory reset it through recovery mode. I already know that, i need the info on it. I'm thinking about reaching out to google also. Who knows they might help since the phone is in my name on my account.

Not yet. I had an appointment to day with the funeral home to get access to his body so we could use his fingerprint but the phone was turned off since his last login.
It now required the numeric password before logging in. I have one shot left that i can think of. If i can gain access to his email i might be able to reset the password that way.
Fingers crossed. It was so hard yesterday going to the funeral home. We all need answers

I saw that. unfortunately i don't have his email credentials for his Find My Device.
Also the sm card was removed my his wife before she gave it back to me unfortunately.
Although it does connect to my Wifi at home... I'm almost to the point of giving up.
I don't think we will ever know why he did what he did.
Thank you to everyone that jumped on this thread. I love this community.
I kinda don't buy the OP story but here is my take:
- Doesn't need a SIM to get/use Find my device working but does require Google account access which is recoverable easily.
- It's trivially easy to recover a Google account with the phone number of the deceased unless the person specifically removed those options and used for instance an authenticator app (of if you don't have the actual SIM or access to that phone number but that would be strange).
- If you cannot recover the account that way, you can still recover it using a legal path by providing the correct inheritance documents to Google (through a lawyer if required) which should pose no issue (again this should pose no issue and while it would take time, it would work).
- Whatsapp cloud backup (on Google drive) is enabled by default and if you're after that, it's probably gonna be trivially easy to restore said backups on any new phone by using the SIM card of the deceased. Unless the person specifically disabled this to prevent this.
You can most likely recover Whatsapp messages without even unlocking the phone. This whole process is actually not hard and requires no tech help and can be done through the legal processes.
Added to all this, I checked your history and saw that you requested help before unlocking a Pixel phone that magically came into your possession before. So it seems you have a pattern of coming into possession of locked phones that makes me very suspicious of your demand.
I'll report this thread and ask a mod to review it.
Sorry. I also have doubts any time I see a story here asking for help unlocking a phone. Always sounds suspicious, and furthermore where are the mods here? Aren't there rules that state no requests for help unlocking phones??
Here is the OPs other post:
" Junior Member11 postsThanks: 2
I have a 64gb Pixel 4 XL that i want to unlock and use on T-Mobile.
The phone was never actually on a Sprint account. It was never technically paid off by a consumer. Its also never been activated on the sprint network to my understanding. (Which are all required to have sprint send an unlock code)
It was given to me by a Sprint store manager when they had to clean out end of year inventory.
I'm trying to figure out if i can unlock it somehow without having to get sprint to send the unlock code.
I don't really want to go through the hassle of explaining to them how i got a hold of it when they look at it in the system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated"
@San Diego The moderators are here and monitoring the thread since it has been created. And these are the XDA Forum Rules to cross-check.
To ask for assistance is not against the rules, and if you read back in the thread quite a few legal possibilities have been given. They obviously didn't delivered the desired result. However, as soon as the discussion or advices deviate towards the obscure side or to paid unlock services this would be removed immediately.
If you check the thread, from which you quoted, you'll see that moderators were acive in it, too.
Stay safe and stay healthy!
