Reading mode is system wide, and nova, action launcher, Evie, and a lot more support similar gestures.

If you are using Motorola's stock launcher, You can't edit the screens.
Best option.. Install another launcher.

which one you rate as the best ..??
There's no "best" launcher. Pick one that suits your needs. I, for example, used ADW EX when I was on CM7.

I have also used many launchers till date however, I find ADW ex which is included in CM7.2 to be my default because if its simplicity.
And for CM9 I use the default trebulant

Default launcher included in CM7 is ADW , not ADW EX ... there's a difference..
Doesn't matter from where I send it, what matters is written above

Lol
Thanks for pointing it out
Here are the differences:
Differences between ADW.Launcher and ADWLauncher EX
ADWLauncher EX is based on the ADW.Launcher opensource core with a lot of new additions and improvements, like for example:
-5 different app drawer styles/behaviors
---3D Nexus One like application drawer
---2 different plain vertical drawer styles, the "old one" and a new fast and smooth one
---2 different Iphone-like horizontal application drawers, a traditional paginated one and a new one with continuous fling
-Different desktop transitions: new animations while navigating through your desktop screens. Try them all, they're crazy!!!
-New Icons configurations/look and feel: Tweak your desktop icons, change its sizes, add coloured backgrounds, change font size, color, etc!
-New fast presets mode: Quickly change the whole desktop configuration by 1 click!
-Editable desktop icons for applications, shortcuts and folders!
-Lots of code improvements
-More, more more to come!!

launchers?

Ive always used the stock launcher but I'm wondering what is the benefit of using a launcher like nova or apex instead of default launcher?
There are many advantages and of course a few disadvantages. The advantages can be features such as using gestures to launch applications (Nova/Apex among others) or complete customization and design control (sslauncher). Disadvantages are that not all "in house" widgets are available on third party launchers. I have a Note II and jump between 3 launchers - sometimes daily.

[APP] Xperia Launcher

If you like to have an alternative to APEX Launcher, I recommend this one:
Features summary:
- User selectable number of home screens (up to 11) and default screen selection
- Customizable desktop and app drawer grid size (from 3 x 3 to 9 x 9)
- Infinite scrolling on the desktop and the app drawer (significantly improved from previous (GB) version)
- Resizable widgets
- Hide apps from the app drawer (now does not hide them from the desktop and the dock)
- Swipe Up / Down gestures on the desktop
- Show / hide icon labels on the desktop, the dock and the app drawer
- Enable / disable app sharing on social networks
- Enable / disable tactile feedback (vibration)
- Icon packs support (load icons from: Launcher Pro, ADW Launcher and GO Launcher themes / icon packs)
- Backup and restore launcher settings
- Support for any resolution and any display density (custom DPI)
- Others

Have you tested?
This launcher has a lot of problems (at least with our device).
Don't have settings, application drawer don't show all application (if you sort in alphabetic sort). I don't now what the problem is but the launcher of the OP is far away better!

There's a lot of negative feedback in the thread.
Better than this is the z Launcher by ra3al, the same user that developed the version that I posted here.
Dispite z Launcher been newest, the version 1.3.4 from xperia T has more functionalities at the moment.

Hi. Everytime I try to use the Xperia keyboard, it keeps on crashing. I don't know if the problem is my phone or your post. My phone is Huawei Ideos X5. Are you using the keyboard for the same device? Thanks.
Yes, I used this keyboard with u8800 for some time with no problems. There Is also an updated version that I use right now, which is even better.. Search for [Jan 24/13] Xperia T/s keyboard for all [swipe] here in xda.

Animated clock icon in default launcher?

Why are the animated icons of clock and calendar apps not working?
The feature was introduced back in Adnroid O, and it doesn't work with default launcher, but works with third party launchers like Nova Launcher.

Blame Nokia, This launcher is based of NBBLauncher which is more feature rich launcher found on chinese devices. The new, stock nbb launcher based launcher has many features missing like app slices, actions etc.
