Just a small question. Can someone check if data is f2fs? Because mine shows ext4 in Diskinfo.. I thought it was going to be f2fs out of the box?

The article from xda 'Oneplus 5 first impressions' says it's f2fs.
Otherwise this phone is flying! Fast and smooth and ofc beautiful to look at!

Probably but as collective group on XDA, we are the type to tinker, tweak and optimise so I guess we will find out.

Mine is still at "processing" expecting shipping on the 21st (yesterday) and estimated delivery is still at 23rd(tomorrow). Unless if they just haven't updated the system, I highly doubt I will get my phone tomorrow. I live in Sacramento, CA. I ordered it around 11:30am on launch date.

Picked mine up at the NYC event on launch day 6/20. A 2 and half hour wait buy I got one and a some free swag.
I love the phone, but next time, I'll order it on line.
Got mine from the launch event on 21st.
A couple of days of use tells me it's a very good device, as expected. I came from Nexus 6P, which is also still a very good device, so I'm still not sure which one will be my "daily driver" for now.
A couple of things in favor of the Nexus 6P.
- It's a Nexus, so newest Android always available til End of Life, now 7.1.2 (OP5 on 7.1.1)
- WAAAAAY better speaker sound, if, for some reason, you had to listen to the speaker without headphones or Bluetooth speakers (which, for most users, is not very often). The speaker on OP5 is a crappy one, if you're used to the stereo grill.
- No DLNA support on the OP5, so I can't stream my phone uPnP with the television, or control the volume, like I do with Nexus.
- Had a WiFi bug yesterday and this morning, where waking the OP5 up from sleep would stop all the data, unless I disconnected and connected again (even when the WiFi signal appeared full).
Minor things, most of which I knew before purchase. I really hope the WiFi thing sorts out.
And I can't wait for TWRP, so I can root and release the full potential with the apps I'm used to.
This poll needs a break out by country.
Clearly you would expect those on the same continent to get theirs faster but logistically thats not always the case especially when CPUs are utilized for efficiency in shipping.
Who in the US, especially in the northeast (ahem) have received theirs? Bitter early drop customer here.

I got it last Dec. Everything works fine and is perfect shape. It's been unplugged and in the box for about a week. I got it to stream movies, but the quality of Netflix kept us using our bluray player instead. We basically used it for emulation, but that lost its novelty because we've had an old computer hooked to the TV for years to play games on. Wife and son pretty much stopped using it for anything around March, and I just do casual gaming and YouTubing when they go to bed. Just got Sonic 4 during the sale last week, and it's pretty fun on the MOJO.
Not only do I have the adapters/cables/etc., I've also got the little plastic nubbins that go on the ends of the HDMI cable. Heh, heh, heh.
It's been factory reset, so it's stock + root. Using the second firmware update, not the one that came out recently (it's in the box) Never bothered with opening the case, or anything, and the CTRLR was only used by my son under supervision (it's clean, not sticky or boogery like his DS).

so you guys have multiple accounts, can either one of you answer at least some of the questions i posted in this thread? ive been trying to port cwm/twrp but neither recoveries boot, you guys dont appear to be using dtb files which makes me confused on why only stock recovery will boot. i cant even get a log and since the device has no adb access i cant even test anything out.
There wasn't even enough stock to last 60 seconds without any marketing or hoopla. Imagine the clusterf*** this would have been with any pre-launch festivities. As a potential purchaser, I'm extremely disappointed with Google & Motorola over this launch.

Every year, the same thing. This is a Nexus folks...this happens EVERY YEAR. I don't understand the disappointment when it has been happening EVERY YEAR. Reliable as a clock.
I don't really think it was sold out in less than 60 seconds. I placed my order around 10:40 PST which seemed to be at least 25 minutes after people are saying they were taking pre-orders. I just had to refresh the page for a couple minutes until one was available. If I had to guess, I'd say there is some manual process of adding the phones to the system that makes it feel like they are out of stock. Though, in either case, it is a poor user experience...

I think 32GB lasted a bit longer but I refreshed the 64GB models literally every 10 seconds and didn't get an option to order even once.
They screwed up their production forecast again. LOL

As I have succeeded, since the N1. Persistence does pay off, but it's very tempting to avoid XDA during this time, due to all the crying that comes along with it. Tantrums solve nothing, 'it is what it is'. UPS Logistics will pull their usual stunts and everyone will be glued to their screens, upset someone who ordered two days AFTER them are getting their phones...it goes on and on and on...
If I wasnt on these forums I would have no idea there was a problem. I randomly hit refresh and it was available so I grabbed one. Turns out I was one of the lucky few.

I was refreshing at the time. I clicked once, and it was "coming soon." Immediate 2nd refresh was "Out of Stock". Less than 1 second between refreshes. I'm thinking there's something wrong with the site. That makes more sense to me than selling out in less than a second.

I mean I know this is a pre-order so there is obviously going to be a somewhat limited availability but Google should know how their Nexus customers are (we are usually in the know) and are more likely to pre-order if we have the chance than to regularly order when its on full launch.
If the mobile carriers wanted more stock for themselves, then make sure Moto gets to pump out more phones so that all supply sources can be happy!

No tracking number for mine yet, called moto. Still on target for monday.
Mine was set for delivery 3/9 also, however I was surprised this morning with the email saying shipped. Then even more excited when FedEx says Thursday AM delivery.

Hey so I'm getting this as a second phone so I can take it to the gym and go running with it or when I have a lot of walking to do. (I have a nexus 6 on Verizon and it is just too big and annoying to carry sometimes)
Does anyone know any really cheap prepaid plan to look into? Right now I think my best bet is Ting or US Mobile. I don't need anything more then 30 minutes/texts or so a month. But would like around 1 gig of data so I can try the different fitness apps that use data and gps.
Sorry if this is an inappropriate place to ask this but shipping/waiting rooms have been places for off topic discussions from my past experience.

The only issue I have thus far is it's not rooted, but that's a WIP. Everything works the way it should. I have a Sandisk 128GB card in it, formatted FAT32 with 4096 cluster. Don't let that 32GB max scare ya, toss a 64 or 128 in there, just format it FAT32. Wifi works great, pixel density doesn't bother me, I can fit my hand around the phone and touch fingers. The battery life so far is phenomenal, I had a 2.5hr conference call Wednesday night, went from 100% to 89% at the end. Bought the black one, and bought the 3 pack of yellow/red/blue bands. I'm digging the yellow/black combo. Only thing not caring for, camera while fast processing, is taking grainy pictures. Pics below are using my Nikon AW110.

got mine last night. this phone is amazing for a mid-range. i cant believe how smooth it feels and how crisp and clear the lcd is. compared to my desire 610 i took back yesterday it blows it away x10. cannot wait for root and roms. moto did a great job.
I ordered mine today (Mar 7th), and my confirmation e-mail says March 17th.

Didn't expect to get the Gear VR from the S8/+ promo so soon. Was honestly expecting a few months before it was shipped. A few shots of the contents and comparison to the 2016 Gear VR that I had to take to bits to fit a Galaxy Note 4.

Awesome! How long after you saw accepted did it ship?

I had submitted it on 4/19, same day I got the S+. Took a picture of my receipt and it was verified on the 21st. I got an email about it being shipped on the 25th, just yesterday and here it is today.
I just got mine approved yesterday (Best buy receipt issues), so maybe I will only be a week or so behind. But it does kind of sound like you got ahead of the rush since you were lucky enough to get it early.

Did you ever get an email about it getting shipped+tracking number? I submitted mines on the 19th and was approved on the 21st. Samsung Promotions websites says my gift has been sent on the 22nd but I never got an email about it
A little update, Sideload VR works, though I had to manually set up the OSIG. Sideload VR kept saying that it might not be compatible with the S8+, however loading up Stream Theater and running Steam games works with little latency that I can still play a first-person shooter and not want to throw my headset off.

Curious what the weight showed on the tracking. I got a text from FedEx that I have a delivery coming tomorrow that needs a signature. Showing 5lbs and coming from Indiana. I don't know that I have ordered anything else. I also haven't gotten an email saying it has shipped and I checked the status on the website and it isn't saying shipped either.

I remember the s7 and note 7 ones took about 2 wks before even getting a tracking number.
But my s8 was approved in 2days (about the 20th, got phone on 18th) And got the tracking number yesterday. Hasnt made it to FedEx yet but says it will be 2 day mail.
Recieved mine today from fed ex.

Anyways, i purchased through paypal and now ive escalated it as a claim, solid burn returned.
Does anyone mind sharing a few with their app usage? Can be light moderate or heavy. I'm interested in this model more than pro version because of the price and pro cost is too close to poco so I'd probably get either non pro or the poco. Also how come pro has a real life review section on xda but non pro doesn't? Ty!

Pre-ordered from Banggood on March 25. Shipped to rural eastern Canada April 1 using Air Parcel Registered. ETA April 27. I'd rather wait a month for the postal system than have to deal in any way with DHL though.
Back to the topic, there are plenty of youtube videos showing good screen on time. One person did a youtube streaming test for more than 12 hours. Others report around 9 hours screen on time with moderate usage. I'll see what I get when it gets here eventually. YMMV.

Uh so that's why it takes too long :/
Wow the battery is so good! I still can't believe I had 15 hours of SOT on my old device (redmi 4 prime 4000mh snapdragon 625 5 inch). It was like a legend! After 2 years of usage it went down to 9 hours which is better than a lot of new devices!
My Note 7 arrived today to shop, but I am still thinking - buy it or cancel order. I am using HTC U Ultra now. Nice smartphone, but 3000mAh battery is a joke. I had Poco F1 in the past, so I guess that Note's SoT will be a bit weaker due to 14nm SoC.
I've seen some YouTube reviews and have an idea now. Looks to be similar to older models maybe slightly less but still good. Also I think most reviewers aren't flashing EU miui rom on it. I would asap right after receiving the phone for a better experience because I heard the rom shipped with almost any xiaomi phone can be buggy

I think this topic is buried here and should transfered into Real life Review, too little info for screen time for such an excellent device. Screen on time threads of RN4 and RN5 have many people discussing this matter. Here is dead.
After a day use, everything always on(data, gps), wifi on when needed, auto sync only wifi. Stock rom EU 10.3.4
