Nougat for SM-G930U firmware?

I'm on a Verizon s7 g930V running Samsung's stock firmware g930U and I've read that the phones bought through Samsung (so no carrier to go through) are getting Nougat OTA already.
I'm rooted, so it obviously gets mad if I try to check for an OTA, but should I unroot and check for a nougat OTA?
Do we know of anyone trying this successfully?
Does a Nougat Odin install package exist somewhere with "g930u" in the beginning of the filename?
Let me know if I should bother guinnea pigging on this one.
No need, I just checked and there's no update. Nothing online about it either. Seems only the international models are getting 7.0 at this time.
930/935 U is on quarterly updates. There will likely be no Nougat till April at the earliest.
so is there any possible way of running nougat on sm-g30u?
am i able to flash sm-g30f firmware on this to get nougat or is this not possible as they are different models?

The F model is the international version and it is not compatible with the US unlocked S7. You can however flash any US carrier version firmware on the the SM-G930U.
thanks, are they any known issues in smg930u like the ones i raised earlier?
seems very buggy in australia. Microphone is also recording muffled and louspeaker calls echo on my listeners end and no noise cancellation
getting frustrated with the device, network is bad, any possible way of flashing the baseband from a sm-g30F to a SM-G930U?
I need the network more reliable. Now i regret not checking the model number before buying the phone

EDIT: Neverfmind, figured it out.

Downgrade From Nougat to Marshmallow on SM-G930A (AT&T Galaxy S7)

My SM-G930A automatically updated from Marshmallow to Nougat and it continues to automatically install updates without my consent (I loved Marshmallow). I've been looking around on the forums here for days and from what I've seen, you can't downgrade firmware on a phone with a locked bootloader such as the SM-G930A running on AT&T's network. All I am trying to do is run Marshmallow and prevent my phone from ever updating out of it. Can this be done? If it is impossible with a SM-G930A, could it at least be done with a SM-G930U, while still utilizing AT&T as my service provider? Thanks.
To whoever answers this: I owe you my life.
Can anyone answer this? Plz halp.

what are the benefits in keeping the phone to marshmallow ? sorry but a bit confused

Samsung S7 AT&T phone on T-mobile network not getting update

I'm sure I not the only one switching carriers, I have unlocked S7 AT&T SMG930A , android version 6.0.1 on T-mobile network, everything work fine, what are my option to get version 7..
Thanks
Flash with Odin, or attempt to flash tmo fw in Odin.

I accidentely flashed an AT&T stock rom onto my verizon S7 Edge :(

I swear I am not stupid, I realize this sounds insane, but originally my S7 Edge had the model number: SM-G935V.
I soft-bricked the phone trying to get the safestrap feature and when I went into the download after bricking it, it had the model number: SM-G935A. I tried multiple times to flash a stock verizon rom, but it wouldn't work. When I saw the model number I decided to try the AT&T firmware on a whim... and it worked
I don't understand how this happened, I feel like the MD5 file I used had a problem with it, or it was not made for verizon (but instead AT&T) but i desperately need to fix this. What do I do?
AT&T has a newer bootloader than Verizon, so... you can't go back. Not until Verizon releases a firmware with the same bootloader version.
Install BRA1 Verizon s7 edge image with Odin, Prince comsy version.

I think I might want to install the G935U (AT&T) firmware on my Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge G935V currently with Android 8.0
I have downloaded ODIN, Samsung S7 Edge drivers, and G935U (July 24,2018) AT&T version.
Is there any reason I can't do this to my G935V? I am confused on the Boot Loader issues and how they apply
with firmware changes for example when changing a G935V to a AT&T G935U.
I also would like to know if all features continue you work and are there any features you loose.
I have the G935V switched from CDMA to GSM and added a APN config for my Straight Talk AT&T sim.
It works but I don't have LTE band 17 which is used in my area. I barely get coverage on Band 2 in my area.
Thanks,
Ken
The Oreo firmware is out here:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935U/
I read that I can install the firmeware of sm-935U in my sm-935V, but when i enter in sammobile page ,there is a huge list of 935U firmeware, wich of those do i have to select to work fine in my phone

AT&T Galaxy S8 software update

I have a question. I have the Unlocked AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 (didn't realise it was AT&T until I received it and turned it on) and when I go to update the software it says it is up to date but it is not. How do I update my software? I am not rooted or anything, the phone is in its normal state.
Is it an unlocked S8 with AT&T firmware or an unlocked AT&T S8? Also, what carrier are you using?
Either way, you can use Odin to flash the newest firmware. Search Updato.com for the firmware for G950U (AT&T variant if you want bloat) or for the G950U1 if you want actual unlocked firmware with no bloat. However, the newest that they have posted if CRF5 and CG3 just came out the other day.
I asked about carrier because:
If you're running on Tmobile for example, use the tmobile firmware. You'll have bloat but you'll get all the features and you'll be good to go on updates.
If you're using Tmobile and want Unlocked firmware download the TMO coded U1 firmware and again, you'll be good with updates.
@jpcdeux I would think it has AT&T firmware because it came with a few AT&T apps on it. However, it is not locked to at&t so I am able to use it in my country (St. Kitts).
Would I have to root?
No, rooting is not required to flash unlocked firmware
Thanks much @jpcdeux
