Did you wipe system and data partitions?

Yes

What's the ROM you're trying to flash?

Im trying to flash J5 Rom

For core prime

Withdrawn

But its a ported rom look at core prime themes and apps section. IM NOT STUPID MY DEAR FRIEND.

If it's a ROM then shouldn't it be in the ROM kernel development ? I'll check it btw. And sry for before
---------- Post added at 02:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:28 PM ----------
It looks like that ROM isn't properly PORTED because as far as I'm concerned our best devs are stuck at porting Samsung Kernels to our device because we only have Kitkat kernel and a CM tree. So lets wait a bit and see what happens. Till then don't try to flash it again

Oh okay, no problem. Thanks for helping me.

Hi there, Thanks for the reply.
I'm quite new to this, I have downloaded odin, Do you mean stock rom or stock kernel? And how can I get these files?
Thanks
Odin uses 3 to 4 files. All tar archives. Google them or look for them in xda. Look for the ones that are for your phones. Then read the instructions that came with it carefully.
Or you can flash a rom. Download a zip and flash it. Look for a "stock" rom in the lg g2 forum or you can try a custom rom

Oh, Thanks for trying to help but I managed to fix it myself.
Used ADB Sideload to push the previous kernel to the phone.

Depends on what you need. For battery you should flash AICP. For custom looks you should flash resurrection remix (version 7.0 is recomended). And if you are having issues with screen freezing due to unlocked bootloader use cyanozenmod.
I will say AICP. There is nothing in RR that can't be achieved on AICP. Also AICP has a lot that RR doesn't.
Battery is best on AICP.

It's prerooted rom.(When u install it you should flash supersu.zip with it as some of system apps need root.)
Installation of rom doesn't need root but unlocked bootloader. (May be its same thing as u cant root until bootloader unlocked.)

Cm12.1 by dgadelha is very good and I was on it b4 AICP. The question u asked is very much dependable on ur daily usage. Despite of all tweaks AICP have I see it has better battery management then Cm12.1. It's not about dgadelha build but the rom itself.
On the other hand most stable Cm12.1 rom is provided by dgadelha, people wanted to taste other rom could try AICP.
I am sure u wont regret the decision. I know some people are on very tight data package so they need to be sure before downloading, it's ok. Flash it u will be happy and also if u ran into problem or bug, ask here don't run to flash other rom instantly.
Almost every thing works except FM and GPS.
And also some people are facing no touch during incall ui.. Fix is simple just replace dialer apk in system from Cm12.1 dialer apk, it's nothing big deal. Taste of AICP is good. Alot of customisation with Best battery backup then any 5.1.1 rom.

Maggi

Optimal Performance/Battery ROM? Superman Rom or Renovate Edge?

Hello, I am looking at rooting my phone, but I am very new to this (in fact, this is my first Android phone) so I cant really tell the differences completely between these 2 ROMs.
I am looking to get the best performance possible. Best battery life, optimal performance, etc.
Which ROM do you prefer to do this? Superman ROM or Renovate Edge? Or a different ROM completely?
Sorry for all my questions, but any information will be immensely appreciated.
Thanks!!
phoenix rom + Prometheus kernel
KingRom I use and it is flawless brilliant never touched any lag since using it for 6 weeks we are on V10 now it just keeps getting better and better.

dude made it for t285 but he says its totaly different for t280
I have already compiled a permissive kernel for the T280 and am using it for my TWRP builds but it seems SElinux is still giving issues, so it wont boot the OS.
As usual Samsungs source code is broken and is going to take some time to fix.

Noob question - please help

Hi folks,
So my mother has a I9505 galaxy s4 (italian) and I want to install a custom recovery and rom for her to hrlp the device be more functional and fast. Can you please suggest which rom I should choose and what steps I should follow to install the recovery etc..
Thanks!
You can flash twrp from Odin and then you can use twrp to flash custom ROMs.
If you want a very stable ROM, you should stock with these stock ROM or custom ROMs that are as close to stock as possible.
That simple? TWRP and then the custom ROM of choice? Which ROM do you recommend for daily usage which is fast and possibly based off Android 6 or 7?

Are you familiar with Odin? Is the s4 already rooted? (Towel root worked for me) and that is done directly from the s4. As far as ROMs go I have tried almost all of them and ultimately I really enjoyed the tipsy ROM but it runs on kit kat.. Google just recently released Google assistant for all devices running 5.0 and up. So I went to CM 12 running 5.1.1 and it runs pretty smoothly. The most important thing to remember to always always always back up your device..ALWAYS LOL.
And when I first started to dabble in rooting I had the T-Mobile Galaxy S.. The first one that came with Avatar lol.. I'll just say this.. As long as it turns on and u can enter either recovery or download mode you can pretty much recover from and mistake.. Pretty much.
XDA has a great first start section for rooting. And most of the developers are very good at explaining the step by step.
I recommend getting very familiar with your recovery since that will be your primary source of flashing.. Because u can't just flash one! Lol once u get your first successful flash Ro a new custom ROM its like sex.. Gotta see what else u can flash to the device ( for example lucky patcher) and then you will start learning that the developers have some really cool stuff out there..
And CM does nightly ROMs meaning its constantly being updated!
Just do your research first if u don't know ask( obviously lol) Google Google Google lol and ALWAYS ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR DEV.
Titanium Backup in NY opinion is the best.. Hope I didn't get to off topic and I hope I helped.. If u have any other questions I will do NY beat to help and answer them.
PAY IT FORWARD AND HELP THE NEXT GUY/GIRL..
