Hi, thanks for the heads up. Can you confirm if themes work(navigation keys especially) properly on Nougat? Or any other missing features, thanks again.

Hi I am from India using xa ultra f3212.. I got the nougat update notification and tired to install.. But failed 3 times thro mobile data and 3 times thro Xperia companion.. All the times the whole update got downloaded as the internet is not an issue but while installing it stops and says could not install.. I see many reported this prob in fb but they say the issue is with weak internet but I have good connection. So what is the problem. Also I tired to root my device thro flastool and with few apks so my question is, are these things need to worried for my failed updating. But I didn't root my device as all the methods fail. Again a question, now can I use ftf file downloaded from xpiri firm and use flash tool to flash in my mob.. Mob is bootloader locked... Suggestions and advice please

Confirmation of receiving Nougat in Egypt. No FCs or any visible bugs till now.
On the other hand better fluidity in UI and better overall UX especially with the much better ram management, that keeps app in memory for a longer time compaed to 6.0.

Is there a way of forcing the update? I don't think my carrier cares about the updates.

I am not even getting the updated notification...

Is the update for F3215 available?
Also, my bootloader is locked and if the OTA is not available, can I sideload the update?

it is available mate.. I would suggest you should use flashtool in upgrading if you experience errors on other update method.. good luck

Thanks!
The update isn't region-specific right? I'm worried that it comes with its own baseband and won't work on my carrier.
Btw, does the flashtool update format the internal memory / does a factory reset?
Sorry, lots of questions, this is my first Sony android device.
TIA

The update is region dependent, and its better to use wifi when u search for software update because some careers dont allow high data to download and your phone will say you already have the latest update...and yes xperia flashtool will format your internal memory if you want just check Wipe --User Data

Thanks buddy!
Now, as for Wifi to download the firmware..mine says its up to date already, but obviously it isn't. Now, if I get one from Xperifirm specific to F3215, would it work perhaps? You see, my carrier don't care about updates.
EDIT: I forgot one important thing: mine's Bootloader Unlockable NO
Would it matter?

Well it seems that xperifirm deleted the nougat update from their server, maybe is something temporary, but there are already many sites who can provide you nougat for your Xperia, just Google it

Guess nougat is stopped for both xa and xa ultra by Sony temporarily.. so those who haven't updated needs to wait again .. https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xa/how-to/sony-mobile-stop-android-7-0-nougat-t3624982

would there be a way to update from a rooted firmware and keep root when a stable 7.0 is released?

Indian user DDLB2 updated
did u get this update on OTA or via KIES ?
It is available on Kies only i think, OTA shud be get with in couple of days.
I never update with Kies/OTA, as it will erase root.
So you use ODIN is it ?
Yes on kies it did promoted me for the upgrade however its failing to go through as its unable to download the upgrade file kies will remain to be troublesome..
trying at a friends laptop now...
DDLA5 was released on OTA and never came on kies.
Now this first on KIES .... HEllo samsung (wat are u trying to do ?)
In order to keep root intact, you need to use CWM/Mobile Odin Pro.
Manual update is always i found better than kies/OTA
you can use PC Odin, if you are not concern about Root.
All available ROM is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
Kind of you to reply so quick , but am very new to root , CWM & ODIN
If you dont mind could you in a brief way tell me - what is the benifit if i root ( I know your signature has links - how to root am reading them now) , but if you can tell me the pro's ill be heartly thankful
Which is the best way to root that you recommend
MY friend tried using ODIN to flash ICS on his s2 , it got soft bricked , hence am a lil afraid to do that.
If i download this update via ODIn from the above link you shared , will my warranty void , will i be able to do next update via OTA .
Thanks a ton , much aprreciate your patience & help
why is the CSC showing LA1? the open germany shows both PDA and CSC as LB1. what does that mean?

1. pros: you can install apps that require root. mainly titanium backup. you can do a search on google to learn about that.
2. both ways are equally good.
3. make sure you are using paid version of mobile odin pro and is bought from your own personal account. or use CWM to do it free.
4. if you root, you lose warranty. if you do OTA, you lose root.
yes anjath hav answer you already
add
1. you can install custom ROM, leaked ROM, you can remove system blotware, you can have wide coice to configure your device.
you can have nand backup(it is same if you have used Ghost/Acronis on PC)
it create xerox of ROM partition of note, n you can restore it as it was on time of backup.
4.Once you unroot, Warranty will be revoked
If you follow guides to the letter, chances to brick is almost Nil.
And on XDA, there are always ppl are ready to help you anytime.
Just got mine updated via kies.

On the first look i could see one major change. Google+ has been installed as system app.
hey doc,
what about that CSC LA1? why is it so? should come as LB1 like german?
thanks guys...
will try to root first & get mobile odin pro...
will take it forward from there ....
thanks a ton

Will this work on a Locked Bootloader??... i cant even update my damn phone via pc companion due to no usb 2.0 in my pc haha its saying i cant do it with a usb 3.0 port and so my last resort is to either wait for update via air or flash via FlashTool
Does this work for locked bootloaders?
Also, from which FTF did you create this?

Its just like installing a custom rom yet its not a custom rom just stock with pre root access. if you have rooted before and have twmp or philz touch whiz recovery just install it from the recovery option wiping Dalvik and Cache and then installing this zip then reboot system and you're good to go. shouldn't be hard follow some guides on youtube if you don't know.
what if i have never rooted before?? because ive got a locked bootloader with 100% stock rom and havent flashed any custom stuff... all i did was get the phone from vodafone and then i flashed the uk firmware (same as the one you have minus the root)

Well i downgraded mine back to kitkat then root you could try root from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/root-t3108230
i had to flash 17.1.A.2.55 then run the rootkit from doomlord and then flash your rom via recovery and then voilah xD... lets see how it goes as im just starting the process now
EDIT: installed wrong version haha
Nice work with the Flashable zip.
Apart from the inclusion of the 'clear all recents' button what else is improved upon, or not forgotten, in comparison to the earlier Lollipop updates?
My Z2 is still showing V 23.1.A.0.726 ready for downloading but so far I've resisted this so-called upgrade, its too half-baked. I'm still on KitKat until I get more feedback on this being a better attempt at an upgrade.
What are your impressions so far?

Well since ive been using it daily I found that the battery has been draining fast soon as I take it off charge its down to 98 percent already I have lollipop ? on my moto g doesn't drain this fast. I was getting issues with keyboard on z2. This seems to fix that bug. Haven't noticed any other changes so far just seems to be minor bug fixes.

thx for the zip
So, as I understand
move the zip to my sd card,
flash from recovery( my Z2 is 17.1.1.a.0.402 root with dual recovery) the zip and that is?????
nothing else?
Do I need flashtool or everything else?
i am asking bcause I saw other guides that said at the end to flash with flashtool the ftf fimware:
like step 11 at following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/4-4-4-creating-rooted-update-package-t2933155
"Never exclude = never check (x) kernel. It is the main reason we're flashing this."

I've noticed when i was using the stock rom (1000000% uk stock with no extras) i could get around 3/4 days battery life which includes having the bluetooth on all day connected to my helmet and sbh52 and after i installed this im getting half that xD....
So the increased battery consumption is another reason to stay away from this. I get plenty of usage on KitKat, thats with BT and Wifi on nearly all of the time.
From all the negative aspects I've read about Lollipop on the Z2 it seems like its anything but an upgrade.

Do you know the changelog or something about this firm version? It is only available on China...
If I upgrade there is there any method to get Root?
Well, I flashed it with Flashtool after customize all the apps already installed prompt me for a lot of permissions of some apps, then after about 10 min of working normally or good, suddenly it restarted and now it restarts just when it try to load apps...
Does you recommend me anything? erase anything?
Thanks
EDIT:
Just solved erasing with all this options marked:
I installed the Brazil vers, it's like something that is in my world instead of chinese vers.
Anyone know how to root this version? E6533 (Dual)
Thanks for diving in guys any word on the change log. Also is how is it with english selected ?

This firmware is also available for single sim variant (E6553) now.. Customized Singapore, US and Vietnam.. To those running on .266 firmware, are there any noticeable difference compared to .251 firmware ?? Considering on flashing here if there are any..

Just flashed .266 Customized SG and restored apps etc..; no noticeable improvement whatsoever but no regressions either.. this said only from updating and installing apps, entering passwords, one should probably notice something within some days of usage.
Surely won't hurt if you flash it, esp. if you want to keep up to date.

Yes and I also applied the 0.9.19.10 patch.. the process is basically the same, while this new version will ask you if you'd like to use a flash script it has for our phone.. I did use it and it went all well. Also when it starts flashing it will ask you about TA skipping, just hit 'yes'.

Yes but mostly because I hadn't wiped data for a long time.. You could get along well with dirty flash if you have too much to restore.. If you have any problems afterwards, you can always do a factory reset.

Automatically unpack in Xperifirm, then in flashtool go to Tools->Bundles->Create, select the folder where you extracted the fw, add all the files to the right column, enter info about phone, customization, version - create.. Then flash the created ftf it in flash mode (it will show up in Flashtool when you hit 'flash')

Currently I'm on B331 and I wanted to try this latest MM ROM, B560. I downloaded the full firmware but it's C432 and currently I'm on C900. I've read of a lot of people bricking their devices so I wanted to make sure this would work before I went for it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

From B331 you need to upgrade to B522 and then it automatically updates to B560 from the Updater.
Both the 522 and 560 are EU ROMS like the 331 you currently have installed. The risk of bricking the device using official updates is close to negligible.

in the picture gallery landscape is still black line under buttons no one not repaired.
I was just about to write saying what a great update, but suddenly when Spotify, WhatsApp and camera on, phone crashed... Otherwise seems to be nice update

Can some one please do a twrp backup to use please.

I updated and I got mt7c900b560. Working OK.
I have a feeling Huawei got sick of all the bricking and are trying to do ROMS that will update a greater range of phones.
does anybody know which supersu root is working with this latest B560?

i responded in the other thread where you asked the same question
I fear I managed to bricked my L09 yet again. I tried to upgrade to MM B560 directly from KK B145 using the 1.2 gb full update file. I put the update.zip file in the dload folder and started a local update. The software started upgrading with the following message.
"Huawei software installing DONOT press powerkey or remove battery!
The update went up almost 98% and is stuck there for the last 90 minutes. I dont see any hope that the updrage will ever complete even if I leave it alone for ever. Going by the warning on the screen, I might break the phone, If I long press the power key. Please let me know what I need to do now?

yes you did , you can't upgrade from kitkat to marshmallow , i only got my mate 7 few days ago and it was also on kitkat, there are a lot of post in this forum with guide how to upgrade and what not to do , my guess is you didn't read any of them .
at this point what you can try is put the kitkat firmware on your sd card and try to force the installation using the 3 buttons trick (volume up+volume down+power)
hi can someone please upload twrp backup of B560 so we can install it through twrp instead of getting default recovery then the procedure kindly anyone of them who have got MT7 TL09 and updated to B560 kindly make a clean backup after installing the fresh rom and upload it so users can install the same......!!

Thank you for responding touns_j. I knew the standard procedure of upgrading from KK to LP and then to MM. Couple of weeks back I came to know that it's possible to upgrade from KK to MM directly. However looks like this does not apply to B560. My attempt from B145 to B560 failed because either of the following 2 reasons.
(1) Only devices on B331 or B522 can be upgraded to B560.
(2) The vendor and country information needs to be EU.
I took the risk and booted my phone to recovery mode and then did a factory reset. The device is alive again. I'll try again after upgrading to B331 first.

Has anyone tried installing over root and xposed?
I guess I'll try it and report back.
Update: Doesn't work with root.

I know but I didn't had the time and the necessary resources to do it . I was also a Little afraid for the bootloop problem.

Not sure if you know about it, but your phone is basically showpiece from showrooms or shops, that's the X in your version number. This kind of phones are not intended to be sold for customers.
You will never got more updates as you already have, so your only option is to flash it manually.
Bootloop problem is not dependant on software version. It doesn't matter if you have 5.1 or 6.0.

Do you have an accurate source to backup your wild claims?
My EU (UK) H815 v20d-EUR-XX is currently downloading the update.
No need for a manual flash and my device certainly was not a store demo model.
Hello,
My G4 is unlocked and ROOTED and the update is available and in downloading atm.
There are something I should to know about the fact that my smartphone ROOTED evening before applying the update?
Could this affect my G4?
Thank you! =D

Sure,
We are not talking about the same thing.
Look again, and maybe twice at his version number: It's is VX10c-EUR-XX
I'm not talking about XX, but about the first "X"... see?
Sure, your device is the same as mine v20d-EUR-XX which is a retail model, but this is not the case for VX10C-EUR-XX which is unfortunately a demo model
Ok, finally, it seems that I can't update automatically with a G4 ROOTED.
When I launch the update this message pop "phone restarting"
Then boot directly on TWRP... (>_<)
So obviously I can't execute this update automatically... :'(

Off you can't. You have another recovery. Use LG UP and flash it. Easier can't be. Note you will lose root and the recovery.

Me too same model. I don't know what they're talking about. Store models can't even make calls and this deters people from trying to steal them.

Same. Luckily, they seem to have deleted the update so you need to redownload. At least we don't have 500MB lurking somewhere.

Go to thread about the Portugal update and download the KDZ from there. Any link from that thread is the international H815 update. Don't worry about countries and shenanigans is the same firmware for all. V20g-EUR-XX. Install LG UP on your PC. First the DLL then the program. Place the KDZ in your LG UP install directory (Crogram Files (x86)/LG Electronics/LGUP/model/8994). Put your phone in download mode. (With phone turned off press Volume UP and with it press plug in the USB cable). Click refurbished option for a complete wipe and clean flash. Before all this make a backup. You can also select upgrade option to avoid wipe but I always recommend a clean flash. Read the according threads in XDA for further information if you need.
It seems the h818p will not be updated(yet)?
@src151 thanks for the info. I didn't knew that demo phones can have the GSM module. At least I got it at a very good price
I will upgrade manually then.
