Some miracast related questions here:
-can you mirror your display from phone A to phone B (especially useful to mirror your phone to your tablet for exemple) ? if yes: can you use the phone B in order to interract with phone A ?
-will Miracast technology be available on Gnexus? Nexus S? Nexus 7? (any 4.2 upgraded devices ?)
-what is the latency of miracast ? 50 ms ? 100ms ? 200ms ?
-how much will cost a chinese TV dongle ?

Bumping this because I'm interested in the answers also. In addition, here's one more general question:
- Anyone have any opinions in regards to the quality of Miracast versus Slimport (or MHL)?
I am also interested in answers to these questions. Also, will every device need a dongle? Will devices like the PS3 support it natively, or with an app? I've never used anything like this before. How is it implemented, as in how would you get mirroring working? A toggle?

Miracast is technically just software so to answer your questions, yes it's possible to mirror from a phone to another phone, and it's possibly that older devices can support it (That doesn't mean it will happen though, and of course there will be some hardware limitations making it harder if not impossible to implement on older devices)
I have no idea of latencies nor potential costs for dongles.
As for integration with other devices, just like how Samsung's allshare cast can be built into the TV for their own implementation, so could it theoretically be done for Miracast.
The difference is that Miracast is meant to be an open standard, whereas Allshare Cast, Airplay, etc. is proprietary and would not allow for example a LG source to connect to a Samsung receiver, or vice versa.
I hope they do something for Vizio TVs or for the PS3.

I'm curious as to how Miracast will be activated. Will it have to be per-app, as in iOS, or will there be a button in the Notifications / Quick Toggle area? Hopefully the latter, but I haven't managed to find any video or pictures showing how it's activated!

LG LM640s TV and N4 WirelessDisplay

I recently bought the LG LM640s TV, which has a WiFi-Direct and Wireless Screenshare option. The N4 connects just fine, the TV shows a message saying "Android XYZ connected", but I can't get it to display my phones screen.
I'm on xylon #18, and besides the connection over wifi-direct, there's an option in "Settings -> Display ->" like this.
Tried checking "Skip HDCP negotiation", didn't work either. The TV received an update like a week ago, didn't help :/
As much as I love this phone, I sometimes get frustrated that the standards it's pushing aren't available or working as intended (wireless charging, wireless display), even with hardware from the same manufacturer.
Did anyone manage to get this working with a similar TV?
i got the 55LM670T and it doesnt work, but i checked it out and although on the tv it says wireless display, it does say miracast, which is what the N4 supports, so i dont think our tvs support the miracast standard

If it's not working with the N4 and/or miracast - what is it working with?

[Q]AllShare Cast or Miracast ?

Hi everyone :fingers-crossed:
So I have a question, the GS4 seems to be compliant with Miracast but Samsung also has a AllShare Cast dongle.
I'm wondering which one would be the best to acquire knowing that Miracast theoretically work with all Miracast compatible devices where AllShare Cast is limited to Samsung devices.
Would the AllShare Cast be more efficient than a regular Miracast dongle
Which one should I get ?
Also I can only find no name / chineses Miracast dongles are those trustworthy ?
Thanks in advance for your answers and advices
Bump
i think miracast chinese not have same quality of allshare cast

Anyone get the new Dualshock 4 working with their N4?

Supposedly it works out of the box in some games with some devices when wired. Not expecting to have bluetooth connection like the DS3, but does anyone have it working in anyway - even rooted? I'm not sure how it handles the N4's lack of OTG support.

do our phones do miracast

settings > share & connect> miracast on/off
There's a toggle on the notification bar.
Good luck, that push2tv sucks. It lags with Netflix.

Miracast works well on my F-Series Samsung TV. It won't connect with Samsung Allcast, even though both devices see each other, but the screen mirroring works through Miracast using Wi-Fi Direct.

Not even close. The process is buggy, but it does work . However, using a Samsung GN 2 with Allshare on the same Samsung Smart TV worked as it should, with no picture degradation. I use it almost exclusively with online broadcast apps, so various other factors are at work, like wireless signal strength.
