Hey guys, this is my 1st post so if I'm doing anything that I'm not supposed to or posting in the wrong area, please say so.
Ok, so, I used to have Android phones back in the day, since 2.2-2.3, then 4.0-4.4 and still used custom roms to update my mom's Moto G 1st Gen, from 4.4 to 7, but I manly used iPhones ever since 2012 and the easy jailbreak life made me kind of lazy - all of the process of jailbreaking and installing tweaks was very easy.
Now I'm back into the Android world with a Moto G4+ and I've already unlocked the bootloader and installed a few of the available custom roms, but none of them were actually stable enough to use in a daily basis so I got back to the stock rom.
Now I'm downloading LineageOS (that's the rom I also used to upgrade my mom's phone) and I got a few questions about it (since I can't post them on the official thread):
- can I enable the notification LED?? I can't do that in the stock rom but it worked really fine in the cypherOS rom.
- is there any option to disable the soft keys and use the fingerprint sensor as these buttons?? I mean, some kind of gesture, like the VirtualHome tweak in iOS, when a touch equals to home, a double tap to multitask etc. Just saw that the G5 will have some gestures in the FP sensor that will replace the soft keys, so a port of this feature would also be good.
- is this rom already rooted or do I have to install something else??
- is xposed working?? I actually found one article about it in the G4 but it was for MM and then I didn't find anything about it in N.
Sorry for my dumb questions, I swear I was going to read all of the official thread but when I was in the 9th page I saw that there was 294 total pages and then I gave up. :crying:

OK so, answering my own questions (at least a few):
- the LED is enabled by default I'm in heaven;
- THERE IS a default option to use the FP sensor as home button AND another one as to place multitask screen to show up by double pressing the home button. With this two options I am able to use the FP sensor at it's full potential (in my humble opinion) BUT as you can see in the images I am able to hide the softkeys only in a few parts of the system, it still shows up when you pull down notification center and also when you open up the keyboard. It's very annoying. I guess this question is still up.
- I think it's rooted by default thank you very much.
To your xposed question: no, there's no xposed for nougat out yet

It won't come back. If you mean a screenshot where you see "themes", then it is with substratum. Themes appears in settings after installing substratum. It has nothing to do with CMTE.

Hello everyone,
I have a hybrid tablet is the nextbook flexx 11. I installed the Phoenix OS successfully, but when booting to the OS, the screen is vertical display of the tablet rather than horizontally when the keyboard dock (both Remix OS It is very difficult to do). I tried the auto-rotate screen but failed, so still. I think it does not pick up the sensor. Please let me ask you how to fix this. Any help or comment received a sincere thanks from me.

run fast on my surface pro2 but need root access to install google application.
i just tried the rooted image from bbs.studiophoenix, didn't work for me but it could be meant for 64b, i did succed to get playstore to run after copying file from Remixos install. i do run Phoenix from an ext4 usb like all other x86 android distro on a atom 32b 1g mem.

Edit: mybad, I did switch multiprocessor webview in developers tab, turning back solved
Read up on libhoudini. I think Nougat x86 has only partial support for it. This might be the cause of problems.
Phoenix 2 will most likely stay alpha/beta for a long time.
Hey Vioner, any word on if the Nexus 7 image will be updated to 2.0? or will it be left on 1.1? Absolutely love Phoenix as an Android ROM, the desktop interface is exactly what I was looking for in a tablet ROM. It's too bad that Canonical dropped Unity 8 and Ubuntu Touch (I understand UBports is to be picking it up and switching it to wayland) because other than Phoenix, UT was the only other ROM that have the experience I've been looking for, so it will be sad to see Phoenix drop support (though completely understood)

I've just asked Phoenix OS officials about this. We'll see what they'll say.
One thing is for sure. They base their ROMs on AOSP and AFAIK most recent branch for Nexus 7 is Marshmallow.
The reason why they released a Phoenix OS 2.0 preview build for Nexus 9 is because it has official Nougat support.
I also asked them if they plan to do any updates for Nexus 7. I'll let you know.

Ah , we all know miui 8 beta 6.7.21 had a feature called app invisible to hide apps installed on the phone. but later on it was removed .
I downloaded the whole rom package and search every corner of the rom but couldn't find any such app in the rom package . Perhaps it seems , it was some kind of coded sort of thing which I am unable to understand . If anyone of you could help me to have the feature again on my miui 9 beta , I would really be thankful (not only I , but many other redmi 2 prime users too want the same .)
I am ready for any experiment to be done on my redmi 2 prime for that feature . (except that I can't move out from miui rom).

Tried to install it. It's laggy, Google play is unusable, as I can't download any apps as u can see in the screenshot below, portrait mode in front camera does not work, but it's normal, because this is port in early build. MIUI 11 is looking really nice and beautiful, so much better than MIUI 10. Thumbs up for the developer, keep the good work man!

Video recording works now, you'll notice it's designed a bit different - some good stuff in the Tools folder hiding away that devs will use. Some factory Nubia apps that do a great job managing memory are present as well, find duplicate files, scan for viruses, etc. Accelerate is one of them, it will clear the memory. Everything else is WIPED, completely debloated and uninstalled, and replaced with a Google app. Even the Clock is from Google. If it could not be deinstalled, Package Disabler blocks the app. No Nubia bloat.remains. I only left nubia.bbs as it carries the latest releases in Chinese first - Google Translate is installed, you will be able to read it, no matter the language. If an app does not let you Translate directly, you have Google Lens which can be accessed in Google Photos. A square icon will highlight text, then you can select More or .. and choose Translate. It will generate a translated message for you from the screen shot. Lens also has this feature just pointing at text with the camera. Lit Photo picture compressor is included so you can trim down pictures you take small enough for emails; a casting app Web Video Cast works outside of China has been added to stream any video from your phone over WiFi to a TV or monitor. Tested it out on my Samsung Smart TV, and it worked great. You just select the connected device on your Wifi, download an app to that device you want to stream to, and type a website URL to stream from to your TV or PC in Web Video Cast. YouTube Vanced is also installed with MicroG so you can use your Google account and not have any ads at all, still watching your favorite items or subjects from earlier. I patched NETFLIX to display HDR10(+) with LuckyPatcher so you get better resolution than the stock Widevine L3 standard allows (the app will say SD video, but playback has been confirmed via streaming at 4K). VLC video player is included which can handle many video formats. 1Weather is a favorite app of mine and it shows live weather forecasts for the week through a widget on the home page. Also, there is a Chrome search bar with a Google Assistant icon on the right, Google Feed icon left side. Google Maps. APK Mirror is installed and the SAI Split Archive Installer app. ZipArchiver. Magisk Manager is installed with several Magisk modules, one for Migrate Backup. Swift Backup app also. Root browser. TurboEdit can edit root files. SmartPack Kernel Manager includes a flasher (TWRP flash inside OS). Device Info app is included which gives all specs. An HD screen recorder and mic recorder are included. Telegram X app. Also Google Voice, Google Keep (Notes) , & Google Calendar widget for the month. @The suit may have an NFC Voodoo fix someone please try it while I RMA my device!!!!
