[APP] Google Now Launcher - Moto Z2 Play Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello friends, is there any way to install google now launcher on Z2 Play? I tried via apk via Play Store and I could not

The Google Now Launcher is integrated into the Moto Z2 Play system and has been discontinued.
If you don't want to use the native Launcher, I recommend Pixel Launcher or Nova Launcher. I'm using Pixel Launcher.

It's I realized, I really had to use Pixel I hope to get used to it.

Also Apex Launcher (similar to Nova but some slight differences).
I tend to use either Nova or Apex (currently Nova since they were the first to add in KitKat's transparent status bar) but Themer is on track to be very cool for people who want something a little less like an extended version of the stock launcher. It's still in beta but it's from the folks at mycolorscreen who have become the best source for custom theming on Android.
My number 1 spot would go to Themer. Liked it from my old phone. Since I'm not that keen on customizing anymore, and I want to have Google Now with just 1 swipe away on my homescreen, I don't use it currently. But from all the launchers I have tried so far, themer is my favorite one. The second place goes to Action Launcher.
Good information sharing..
Where is the Mi Launcher?
And tsf launcher too

about the launchers, my favorite atm is holo launcher...
cos all i need from a launcher is gesture swipes.. up & down for notification & app drawer..
nova & apex have these only in paid version..
i wish GEL would incorporate gestures..
along with access for google now & LMT, that would be perfect
Sliding Explorer

I was always a nova user since i had a galaxy nexus. Since getting the nexus 5 though, i discovered more customization tools for themes and widgets, and ive been using Go launcher just because it works with the aesthetic/homescreen setup im currently using.
If nova launcher had a few more tweaks to it like icons not clipping/cropping, id probably go back to using it.

Yeah they updated it to work on their website but the play store version wasn't updated yet. I had a thread on it. The only thing I don't like about it is non transparent nav bar. The notification bar is transparent but not the nav bar. In the broken version it was transparent. Not sure why it was removed unless that's what caused the issues

Modified launcher?

Does anyone know if there's a modified launcher for the Note 4 that supports 5x6 homepage and apps grid?

Yes sorry, I meant if there was a modified TW-launcher that supports 5x6 grid.
There's one modded launcher available now, it's for the Sprint model but since it's just the launcher it works excellent on the international model (N910F) as well.

Cant you just... make nova... look like the basic one? Whats the difference?

You can try installing this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5WTckiNZyqKcDBoaGV4SnBaRVU/view
And then this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5WTckiNZyqKRVB4SEtJVnRXa2c/view and set it to permissive
And then install Pixel Icon Pack from play store.
Btw you need root to do this.

Anyone tried Pixel Launcher?

I know that Essential launcher doesn't look too different form Pixel launcher, but I like the operation of Pixel 2 launcher. I do believe either the launcher on Pixel phones have smoother transition/animation effect or Google optimized the phone's OS differently. On Essential all this transition animation is too jumpy, windows open fast and as if all the effects are turned off in the Dev options. I have Pixel 2 in my hands and although the UI is similar to the Essential phone, still Pixel's UI feels much nicer, better and smoother - premium feel.
I sent my Essential back(QA issues), will soon re-buy it again, but in the meantime wanted to find out if anyone has tried installing Pixel 2 Launcher on Essential.
Using the actual Pixel launcher requires root. However, one of the people on xda has written a version based on AOSP that doesn't require root. I used it on a Nexus 6 for about a year and have been using the latest version on Essential with 7.1.1 for the past two months with no issues. It's bit nicer than the AOSP that comes on the Essential.

I am using the Pixel 2 launcher. It requires no root: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/papho...auncher-mod-8-1-0-4348501-modded-3-1-release/
Also would recommend the Pixel 2 wallpaper: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/prana...port-8-1-0-pp-6-0-arm64-android-apk-download/
Just try them out and see yourself

My bad! I think the integration with the weather on the Google “pill” is what requires root. Does it display the weather for you?

Download the "wallpaper" app from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.wallpaper
Some say the wallpaper app needs to be installed before the launcher in order for the link to work but I did it after and it worked fine for me after a reboot.

Well as I mentioned in a post, at least for me Nova is draining a bit of battery. So if you are looking for a pixel like experience you should use CPL from the play store, been using it for almost a week and I like it so far.
Nova with companion app. I've never seen battery problems with it on my note 9.
MI UI?
Ruthless pixel launcher is by far the best search on xda labs for it
Action Launcher is the best in my opinion. I play a lot with Hyperion Launcher too.
Flick Launcher fluid and no battery drain.
Recomended
I've tried different launchers over the years, but I always end up going back to Nova Pro.

Nova has the best options.
I've been using Lawnchair Launcher v2 since it lets the Google Discover tab to be in dark mode and is pretty simple.
