Yes.
But you need to enable every permission to google app.

Yes the OK google detection faces some problem in the g assist. Mine one is grayed out.

You try saying OK google and then set the assistant and then restart the phone.
Or clear the google app data and cache from settings. And then restart and then set up the assistant through voice and then restart

Thank you very much for the guide. I successfully installed Google assistant on CM 14.1 for my Redmi 1s. Can you please tell updating cm ROM via ota work fine after installing Google assistant or one has to install Google assistant every time after ROM update? Is is compatible with CM ROM / Mokee ROM running Android 7.1.1 ?

Every time obviously and ota updates of custom Roms are actually ota. You have fresh install them

i tried but got force close when I open it
Same problem here with my Z00T, the only working version is 2.5 download through 1Market. Other versions tried always make the app to close after launching
using Viper OS V3.1.1 now and android version 7.1.2
need a working version of google camera. can suggest for other roms too.

If yours work let us no because some us aren't getting the option to direct flash from the updater..
i guess flashing the update will wipe the device ?
Just tap 10 times over the MIUI 10 logo in the updater app. Please Let me know ir you can flash, because i get an error.

Guys, I might be asking a dumb question, but really needs some help here.
I did the update from lastest stable to the new beta (9.3.7), but I want to revert it back to stock stable rom. There's a way of doing that without flashing it through fastboot mode? The Updater app keeps showing the same error as the #15...
Worked for me...and get update weekly
